Too Long Between Gaming Sessions

You know when it's been too long between gaming sessions when... I've been running the same group of tabletop players through various campaigns for well over fourteen years now. I've recently added my two eldest children and subtracted my wife from that group (as I've mentioned she feels gaming is adolescent at best). But two of the players are very experienced, so I figured they could help carry the game. Unfortunately, personal events delayed our game by almost four months. Needless to say we were all pretty thrilled to get back to the game a couple of weeks ago. Everything was progressing fine for the most part until my friend turned to his wife and suggested she utilize her bard's abilities to help the party and her response was: "That'd be great if I were playing a bard." I remained quiet while she investigated her character. Then: "Oh! I'm playing a bard!"

Love playing Bards and Bard Multiclasses, my favotire is Elessarae in Almerin's Chakran Protal, Bard/Fighter/Bladesinger. Gads what he had me do to earn my Bladesinger class. Now that was great Roleplaying,

I'm spoiled. I've been playing with the same group for nearly three years now, and I've seen that same problem happen many times, but for different reasons. We've got 3 games we cycle through, and often someone will show up to the Week A game in character for Week B.

Summaries have some notifications on it this will have to put some data on this that used to get among these parts on it. I will able to gain knowledge on this that was at EduBirdie this needs to be empire over the services on it they have writers to work on the easy writing projects.
