I am seriously looking at Paranoia, since it's a simple, low-commitment type game for everyone involved. Players know that they will likely die (multiple times), it's light fun... might be a great way to get me back on a regular schedule.

Well, ZiC *was* right at the end of a "chapter arc," if you will; it would be a simple thing to silver screen the game forward and start fresh.

And of course, in a city of that size, we could always simply pick up with another group of survivors.

Edit: also, I love you too, hairy one.

It's been ages and ages since I have run a game, and I'd like to fix that.

The question is, what sort of game should I do?

Some classic D&D, Audalis style?

Maybe look at picking up Zombies in Chicago?

Perhaps a silly game, ala Paranoia or Ninja Burger.

Perhaps even (dare I mention it)... Trek?

Subject: wow

I haven't read the graphic novels at all, but am loving this show. FINALLY the last couple of episodes have gone back to their roots a bit, and given us some of those tense zombie apocalypse moments... as opposed to the neverending prattling about the missing girl and how everyone felt about everyone else that seemed to eat so much of season two.

Loved that big moment from this last episode (been waiting for that since almost the beginning), but man, does the cast seem FUBARed next week!

Also, I am extremely interested to discover why things have changed in terms of how the infection is spreading. It would seem that the disease has perhaps mutated? What does that mean to our survivors?

Been on several interviews. Had a company call me and say they really liked me, but were giving that position to someone else, but that they wanted to look at me for a different position. Have not heard back yet, however.

Had another job I was a superb fit for, had a great first and second interview, was expecting an offer... but it was contract to hire. I had agreed with the recruiter to be put in for the contract rate, but their perm rate was too low; apparently, the recruiter represented that I was fine with both rates. Now the recruiter is peeved with me, and I have not heard back from the job.

Did go on another interview today, seemed to go exceedingly well. If it works out, would be the very best position I have interviewed for, with one of the very best employers in the state. I should know within a couple of days if they want me back in.

Got my last severence check today, so am trying to fight off full blown panic.

I miss this place enough without both Alacrity and Eol being scarce, too.

lol @ shipping.

I have tasted the beer, but that was pre-bottling; it's still flat and has some serious alcohol warmth to it. I'm anxious to see how it does once it's fully carbed (and once it has a chance to mellow a bit).

...well, allegedly so.

Just before Thanksgiving, my employer let me know that I was not in their future plans. They gave me a nice severence, but I was jobless right before the holidays.

Still am, actually - and my severence is about to run out. Fortunately, I have two interviews lined up for this week, plus a possible third.

At any rate, this has led to one of my patented, depression-filled, bury myself in work periods... which is why I have not been around. Sorry, folks.

I shall return.

It's that time of year again - I am once again helping Santa Claus to deliver personal letters to boys and girls everywhere.

If you have a child in your family (or know someone who does) that might appreciate a letter from Santa, I hope that you'll visit Santa4Me.com (or send them the link).

Note my "Olan MIA (again)" forum topic... I would sincerely, appreciate any traffic that you could send to this site. Feel free to take this link and email it, facebook share it, tweet it, etc, etc. Thanks a million.

Yep, I have melted away once again. I have been terminated from my job, and am now working extremely long hours at self-employed web development while trying to conduct an effective full time job search. My creativity is just shot right now.

I shall return.
