Subject: An attempt at survival...
The day had already been long, and she knew that Geim was in trouble, but if everyone attempted to save him, then it would result in conflict. Alyssia had decided to continue to attack the creatures that continue their way. The sorceress decided to use Magic Missiles against the same lizard that she had cast lightning upon last turn.
In the back of her mind she decided that should Geim be rescued she would use Cure Critical upon him. As it stood, her friends were taking care of the tree. Fire didn't work against this enchanted tree, and she doubted lightning would. have any affects upon it. Her next turn, would be to cure critical upon Geim if he wasn't already healed. If he was healed she would cast Ray of Frost upon the tree.

Subject: A gentle nod of encouragement....
Karlana listened carefully to the sounds of her surroundings. Her nasal passage had picked up the scent of stale whiskey and beer, as well as the horrendous smell of nicotine that lingered in the air. Ignoring such things she listened as the bar keep had answered her questions. Though hiding her emotions she listened yet in her mind she cursed this woman for having been eavesdropping. A sigh released she spoke up anew "You say you are not fighters or heroes...who is to say we are? Define a hero." she fell silent and shrugged away the rest of her words, but just decided she would agree just to get out of this town that simply made her angry.
Gracefully she rose from her chair and crossed to the door opening it slowly. The door squeaked its protest for having been woken at such a late hour. Karlana moved elegantly out of the tavern, closing the squeaky door behind her and slowly making her way out of town towards the edge. Finding a rock she sat upon it and looked up at the darkening sky.

Was our mission successful so far? What happened? *presses for info* don't leave me out in the cold on this. I've had a stressful day. Got called about taking a shift and couldn't do it because I had a prior commitment that they knew about but still asked me to take a shift. And they booked me for tomorrow, so will only be on in the morning and again late at night if I'm not entirely exhausted.

There is a possibility I can rp tomorrow for a while!! I found out I only have to spend the night there because they are leaving at 3 or 4 in the morning. So I can rp for a couple hours, depending on what time it starts. As long as I don't get called into work like I did today. I'm working 3:15 - 9:15

Karlana smiled to her companions as they sat discussing matters of all sorts. Their main focus was the task at hand, or that would possibly be at hand. Tilting her head she spoke "Nobody else thinks it suspicious that these folk EXPECT us to find their young blood? I think it mighty strange that they act the way they do, but maybe that's just me."
A sigh released she sipped at the goblet that had been placed before her. Having not been of royal blood, the woman waited patiently for the men of her group to finish eating, before she began to nibble at her plate. Karlana's parents had raised her to maintain the olden lifestyle. A fashion of life where the women took care of their men's needs before their own. Yet in her own approach, not everything she did was by her parents rule.
In this moment Rao had spoken, and then leaned in close to whisper to her. She could feel the warmth of his breath upon her ear, and she had to fight back the urge to shiver. Whenever people whispered in her ear, a chill climbed up her spine which mainly resulted in a quick shiver. Again he spoke to everyone, and her heart slowed to its normal pace. Shaking her head she spoke "Reward, is that what everyone wants? I would like to know WHY kids disappeared, and by the sounds of it, left no trace. I think we should investigate that they even existed before we set out to find them. It could simply be a trap to lure us into a deserted oasis and kill us or claim a ransom." she shrugged away the rest of her words.
Karlana turned towards Mourn and Aramil as they spoke to each other. She eyed the female suspiciously, yet in a manner that wouldn't be revealed to anyone else even if they glanced her way. The woman smiled warmly to herself as she listened to their conversation, and shrugged away her words as the rest of her posse seemed to eager to help, yet didn't question anything about their mission. Shaking her head slightly she sighed and when the men had finished eating, she began to nibble at the corn on the cob, having placed a napkin over her lap in case she made a mess.

The elf watched her companion make a scene in front of these strange people. Her eyes narrowed, and she eyed the pair that had asked them to embark upon this mission. Tilting her head she thought for a moment. Turning to her companion she spoke "I have questions I need answered before I make my decision." With those words directed to her group, she turned back towards the townspeople.
Her voice soft as she spoke "You said that you searched for them, and what makes you think we'll be able to find them if you folk, who know the kids, and know possible hiding spots, can't find them, that us strangers can find them?" she asked curiously. In the past she had fallen into many traps, she spoke again "What makes you think we aren't the people who kidnapped your youth and are coming back to check how distraught you have become over the loss of your lost children?" her questions were sincere. Why would they trust people who had just strolled into town after their children had disappeared? If it were her, she would not allow anybody else to stroll into town, for fear that more people would go missing.
Karlana seemed more interested in the conversation than she was the food. The food sat getting cold while they discussed their plans. She hadn't expected the folk to follow them, but was glad when they had. The elf was quick, she knew she could be the first to draw a weapon were that the case. Thoughts and questions raced through her mind a mile a minute as she waited for her other questions to be answered.

Alyssia had known things weren't right, but they wouldn't wait and figure out how to go about it as carefully as possible. The tree sprang to life, and within moments the lizard had returned and brought a companion with it. Without thinking the sorceress had decided that Thondrek would need some help.
He had called out to them, her especially, to use lightning bolt upon the healthy lizard. In hopes of disturbing a possible spell. Her concern was that two of their groups were on the ground screaming. They only had one chance to disrupt the lizards from casting silence or such a spell. Turning towards the healthy lizard, she decided to take her friend's advice. It would be simple to cast this spell, but then she would have to fight twice as hard. They had three enemies, and two of their companions were screaming upon the soft earth.
Alyssia's concentration was directed upon casting Lightning Bolt upon the healthiest of the two giant lizards. Her thoughts were to have their spells disrupted to maintain their ability to speak freely to one another. It wasn't as hard to manage defeating the first without sound, but that was one enemy, instead of three. A tree, and two giant lizards. The first took them a while to destroy. Now they would have to attempt killing all three enemies without losing any member of their group.
Her mind cleared completely as her full concentration was upon casting her spell. She ignored her surroundings as she cast Lightning bolt on the healthiest lizard. She would attempt to destroy the healthiest lizard, ensuring she severed his head from his shoulders and stabbed his heart, if he had one. Alyssia would not chance the creature being reborn when their backs are turned, especially if they manage to cast silence.

Alyssia had been silent since she'd noticed the tree. Contemplating how to go about destroying the object of interest. It wouldn't be difficult, but she was sure it was more complicated than it appeared. Listening to what was being said she spoke up "I believe that there will be something that happens once it is applied. There is no way it could be this easy. Or else others would have already taken care of it." she shrugged away the rest of her words.
Her eyes fell upon Thondrek as he had spoken and she shook her head. Questions finally being voiced "Do you think that Giant Lizard was the only protection that this tree has? I've felt that something wasn't right since the enchantment was upon us. If we act rashly, who knows what will happen. We should figure out what options we have, and what would be the best plan of action." she fell silent for naught but a moment.
Soft blue eyes scanned their surroundings, and she knelt down upon the soft earth. Her gaze flickered towards each member in turn, almost as if wondering what each would be able to offer. After a moment she added an idea "the quickest of us should pour the contents upon the tree, the rest of us guarding each other. Have one person pour the potion, the rest keeping watch for other disturbances. I still feel uneasy about being here. Something tells me we are being watched. I feel it in my bones. I fear that once we attempt to destroy this tree, that what is watching us will reveal itself. We must be prepared in case such a thing should happen". Alyssia was silent after giving her idea. She knelt upon the soft earth but remained alert about her surroundings.

Subject: This Weekend...and next...
March 28/29, and april 4/5/6 I doubt you'll see much of me on this site. I'm babysitting tomorrow during the day, hopefully spending the evening with my boyfriend. Saturday I hope to spend the day with my boyfriend, possibly going to my friends house if I don't get to spend the day with the boyfriend. The first weekend in april, I'm babysitting the fourth and fifth, but 3 kids, so won't have any time on the computer. I might end up staying all weekend, and have them bring me to my house sunday morning. I have my cousins baby shower at 1pm my time. And have no idea what's going on after, or how long it'll be.
Also I'd like to bring to your attention, that i should be starting a new job next week, if all goes well. I should at least start training next week. So I have no idea when I'll be available to be on here, definitely not near as much as I am now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I start training on monday.

Peacekeeper, after dishing out her information, decided to keep quiet and to keep a close eye on her rival. Since she started in the bounty hunting business, MDK was her biggest rival, though she thought herself the better of the two. Yet she would never say or do anything to reveal she thought this way. In her line of business one would get killed for what she had already done to MDK. Jaimy knew that he would love to put a bullet through her head at the first given chance. Now she would have to watch her every word, every step, and every breath she took.
The woman allowed the men to discuss the events, and have their egos speak for them. No matter how things happened, she would have to keep a close eye on how things developed. It would indeed be a task and a half if MDK had trained himself the way she had. When she had time alone with her lover, she would speak to him of what troubled her. Nobody would notice if anything troubled her for she had always been the best at hiding her emotions. It was her job to forget emotions when on the job. If she got attached to her subject, then she failed as a bounty hunter.
Jaimy sat back and listened in silence, her hand idly upon her gun, but only because of her rivalry with MDK. Otherwise she wouldn't need to be close to her weapon. With him around, she would have to step gingerly and listen twice as much at what was said. Listen for hidden meanings, and search for clues to if he still wished a death sentence for her having wiped out his targets. As silent as a mute, she listened to the words being exchanged over the table. Her gaze falling only upon MDK and Lightning.

If it were tomorrow I could manage, but because it's next weekend, doubt I'll manage. Cause I'm babysitting 3 kids Friday and Saturday. So I have to watch lots of movies, and play lots of games with the kids :S Plus Saturday morning I have to get the kids up early so we can make breakfast than start cleaning before rents get home.Saturday is their cleaning day. *laughs evilly*
