For the most part, almost everyone is waiting for me to update, however, in order to keep chronological order, I need Vilyamar to update his character first.

... or does this mean another character will have to be dropped >.<

Subject: Emotions of Life - Impatience

Often as we sit, waiting for something to occur,
The force is felt, that feeling we have to endure.
It is comprised of irritation, anxiety, and sorrow,
And of course, the wish that it'd happen tomorrow.

People feel this force, almost every single day,
For it affects every event, no matter how far away.
The more one calls for the event, the larger the force grows,
For it heeds the calls, but the event doesn't come with simple woes.

Within impatience, people quickly become angered,
As the yearning grows, and becomes unable to be injured.
It works against hope, making it feel like it won't come,
But all things come in time, despite the loss of some.

Do not worry, for the time will eventually pass,
It just doesn't go by smoothly, like wind in the grass.
Time is often blocked by impatience and fears,
But do not heed them, or you may fall to tears.

Even in the Void, time will still go by;
Nothing can stop it, no matter what we try.
So take solace in this truth, and abide your time,
And soon enough, even in impatience, the bell will chime.

"I'd need to know exactly where the other Sylph is in order to be able to contact her; we're aren't able to sense each other besides guess with our intuition." Sen says sadly.

"We Sylphs have an intimate tie with magic, and can use it almost at will. Gemstones cut in specific ways for different spells can enhance our power. Furthermore, we are able to traverse the boundaries between worlds, hence why I am able to be here in the first place. Others may try to use a Sylph to amplify their own magic as a gemstone amplifies ours. They may also try to harness our ability to traverse worlds." Sen explains, "Whereas people like you have both a body and a soul, one contained within the other, our bodies are effectively the same as what would be our souls. They don't need to be nourished besides growth, and we do not need to sleep."

"The Pursuers are a group of people who try to capture Sylphs for their own motives. What these are, I don't know. I don't even know how many their group consists of; I've only seen three of them closely... too close for comfort..." Sen shivers.

"One holds a mirror that seems to be able to reflect any sort of attack, whether it is physical or magical. She can widen and shorten the mirror whenever she pleases, and... I think she can even steal people's souls with it. That's what it felt like anyway... something cold, and encompassing... they call her the Collector."

"The other is their main fighter. He often appears unarmed to even the well trained eye, and in truth he is, until he strikes. His destructive powers are quite powerful, and he is capable of levelling an entire city to the ground. His weapons are blades that slide down from his wrists, and they appear almost like a mix iridescent and dried red blood. With them, he usually swings horizontally across, which sends a large, red shockwave of energy that can demolish stone, melt gold, and even shatter crystals. They call him Darkside."

"The final one, I could barely see. She, assuming it is a female, is always surrounded by shadow, even in the light, making it impossible to see her face, or even her body sometimes. She uses shadows to her advantage, teleporting between them at will. In the night, the shadow of the day, she could be anywhere within a single moment. Hitting her is near impossible, for the shadow that shrouds her also protects her, and if you strike the shadow, you just go through it, bypassing her altogether. She can even jump to your own shadow and have a shadowy dagger at your throat within seconds. Her shadowy weapons don't affect people's bodies, striking only their souls. Fittingly, she is called Shadow, and she's the most dangerous of the three because of how fast and deadly she can be."

"With those three, Darkside appears to be the leader, barking orders and always in a craze to be victorious, but it's the Collector that's the true leader. She is sharp and intelligent, murmuring instructions to Shadow, who fulfils the orders swiftly without hesitation. Darkside is more of a distraction than anything else, although that doesn't mean he isn't anyone to not take seriously, considering that he is still powerful. The Collector is the brains, Darkside is the brawn, and Shadow... well, there's nothing to truly describe her." Sen finishes.

"With those three involved, you can expect a lot of bloodshed, especially from Darkside. I don't think any of them are human, although Darkside appears quite human. The Collector, she appears to be young elven girl, and she wears a blue kimono. Shadow, well, if she's standing in the open at all, not even those that can see in the dark can see her through her shadow."

"I don't think we'll have to go out of our way to get aid, since those three, or at least Darkside, will be quite noticeable. In some of the other worlds he's been in, there have actually been wars declared on him. Just him, one individual, because he causes so much destruction. I think... he just enjoys killing and causing pain."

"Darkside can definitely see me even if I'm invisible, but the other two I'm not so sure about... I'm fairly certain they can as well. Darkside seems to be able to see people by seeing their life forces, probably because he likes to snuff them out, and so he's able to see me that way." Sen finishes.

"I could search for the other Sylph with a spell, and simply teleport her to safety, but I don't know how long that'd take, and me using magic seems to draw the Pursuers to me, like they can somehow tell when and where I use magic." Sen thinks aloud, "I'll need to use magic as little as possible, and that means I'll have to stop being invisible as well."

Gorre's speed easily outpaced everyone present, and even as Kiku tried to use a magic spell, she had nothing to lock onto. Kusardo and Kimono both decided to rush ahead of Gorre's path, in an effort to divert it, but in the meantime, Gho and Rei Lightning look thoughtfully at one another.

"Rei, have you analyzed our data yet?" Gho Lightning asks.

"Yes, and we have it!" Rei Lightning responds.

Gho Lightning smiles, "Good, let's do it then!"

With a burst of static across everyone's screen, Rei and Gho Lightning reform into the single Twin Lightning character.

"Alright, do your best Kusardo and Kimono!" Twin Lightning calls, evidently being controlled by Rei.

Kusardo manages to get in front of Gorre, but right when he is about to slash his sword threateningly, something else happens. It doesn't feel like he, the player, is holding a controller, but rather holding some sort of pole arm and slicing it across horizontally. For a moment, it doesn't look as though Kusardo is wielding a broadsword, but instead is wielding some sort of wand, with a long red shaft piercing a 'Q' shape at the top of it. Kusardo twirls this weapon around and slashes, causing Gorre to rear back and change direction, to away from Twin Lightning. It is only for a split second, and right afterwards it appears that Kusardo was always wielding his broadsword, leaving his player only with the tingling sensation of wielding the staff.

Kimono stands in Gorre's way, but despite pressing the 'x' button to swing, the character doesn't do anything. However, the player feels a bizarre feeling, as though something were sliding through her torso and out of her body. Then, everyone's FMD shows an enormous blade, appearing almost like a wooden sword with a plain guard and a cylindrical stake for its blade, slams into the ground where Gorre was about to go. The Phase rears back and heads toward Kiku. Yet, as quickly as the blade appeared, it vanishes, leaving only Kimono shown returning her scythe to a ready stance.

Kiku visibly pales as Gorre heads toward her, and then, from the sky, an immense beam of light slams into the ground in front of Gorre, causing it to head toward Twin Lightning.

During the party's attacks, Twin Lightning was not merely standing still. Her right hand is held out toward Gorre, with no weapon in it, and around the wrist is a peculiar bracelet, appearing to be made up of blue hexagons and yellow pentagons. The background fades into static, and five strange structures, seemingly made out of data, appear evenly around the bracelet, almost parallel to Twin Lightning's arm, before beginning to angle toward Gorre. From the tips of these, streams of 0's and hexagons fly out, tipped with a triangular graphic, to impale Gorre as it turns from Kiku toward Twin Lightning. The bracelet and the static and the Data Drain all fade, leaving Gorre just hovering in the air, seemingly stunned, as the background graphics return to what they were before.

"Excellent." Is all Gorre says before fading into an orb of violet light that floats to and is absorbed by Twin Lightning.

The background of the floating island fades, to be replaced by a square room, probably within the dungeon of the area Xi Chatting Snaring Twins. There is a platform just opposite of the only door out of the room.

Twin Lightning breathes deeply, her inhalation shown by her character's graphic. "Well, there's no time to waste. I'm sure you all have questions, but those will have to wait until we get out of this area."

At that moment, a second cry of pain is heard, just through the dark doorway. Once again, it sounds as though the source is Azure Kite.

Standing up sharply, Ocyari walks in after the others, but when the doorman winks at her, she feels slightly better. Maybe someone actually can guess at what I can do. Ocyari thinks, a little relieved.

The tavern, as it's called, didn't look that interesting to Ocyari. There were interesting people, but it was rude to stare at them, although... Ocyari's hairs on the back of her neck tingle; it feels as though she's being stared at. Heh, it's probably because they don't expect a little person to be here, Ocyari decides.

Sitting with the others at the table, Ocyari is surprised when another 'sibling' comes up to them.

"Please excuse. You are Paomallen, are you not? Of the orphanage run by Ormander Galios? If you are, then all of you are from the same background as myself, and I am in the right place. Are you Percifeer? And is that you Miran? You two were mere babes when I left the orphanage. I was called Teresa then. Teresa Lofton. My name now is Dai Lung."

"Hi Dai Lung, I'm-"

"Please. I must finish.." Dai Lung interjects, to which Ocyari pouts slightly.

"From what I've been told, a few of your number seem to be missing. Mandy told me that Pio had gone with you, but he isn't with you now. And there was another name Mandy mentioned, one I can't remember now, that also seems to be absent."

"Umm, so where were you before?" Ocyari interrupts.

"Please, I must finish."

"I assume you had to take a test to enter here, as did I. My own test was a test of strength. The guy over there in the corner. The one rubbing his leg with both hands? He was my test."

"Umm, so what were you supposed to do?" Ocyari asks.

"I was supposed to get him to release me after he picked me up. I simply didn't allow him to pick me up. A well-placed knee to the correct point in a leg muscle, near but not in the groin, will cause most to drop like a wet sack, as he did. As a result, I'm being left pretty much to myself." She speaks of this matter-of-factly, even though the man she points to seems nearly twice her height and mass.

At this point, Dai's speech becomes even more rapid, as if she was suddenly in a hurry. Or she may have been sensing impatience and trying to shorten her diatribe. Or it could be just gushing relief at seeing long-missed "family" ...

"Actually, I was surprised -- no, I was amazed! -- that Ormander's missive asking for aid found me at all. In the cloistered seclusion of the Temple of the Cloud,"

"Where's that?" Ocyari asks, interrupting once again.

"Please be patient, I'll finish soon."

"I received no mail, no messages other than those from the monks of the monastery. And I was there at the monastery simply because Ormander, or 'Mandy' as I still think of him from my own short time at the orphanage, Mandy allowed me to choose my life and do it at the tender age of six years. I have never regretted my persistence or my decision to pester Mandy into letting me try to follow my dream. I have always intended to visit him someday, to show him what I have made of myself."

"Unfortunately, I was only able to make the time to see him after I had left the monastery to "find my place". The message found me only 5 days ago, only one day after I left the monastery. The shock of the missive finding me goaded me into making all haste to the orphanage, where I had arrived at mid-day today. My shock was replaced by anger at the accusations against him, when I was informed of the events by Ormander."

"Umm, so-" Ocyari interrupts again.

"Young one, be patient, I will finish shortly."

"Then frustration took over, because I did not arrive soon enough to join the other members of my "family" on their quest to clear him. Ormander told me to stay close, if I could, and he would inform mer if you needed aid or replacements. At that time, she kept my own counsel, purposely not telling Ormander that I had no intention of waiting idly until called.. I intended to investigate on my own. More than a few coins had to be passed and palmed until I was able to follow a promising lead here, to the Heart of Darkness. Although I've been in numerous establishments similar to this, the place and it's clientèle seem to me to be far below the mark of "quality" The locale should be called the Hole of Death."

Here Dai's demeanour turns formal again. "You all have evidently received the same information I have, for you are here also. This one asks to join you in your efforts. She can be an asset."

"Umm, can I talk now?" Ocyari asks. After confirmation of this, Ocyari continues, "Well, why not?" She asks.

"The more the merrier, right? Oh, I'm Ocyari by the way." She says, extending a little hand to shake with Dai Lung, that seeming to be the most appropriate greeting.

Cindi says nothing more, just looking toward Hank with a distant interest. She seems to be almost in a state of shock. Cindi thinks vaguely, before looking back to the White Card in her hand.

Well, that's fine. They obviously don't wish for me to exist, so I'll just wait until they're done before seeing if the one with my initials holds anything of importance or practical value. She decides, her eyes misting over as she stares at the blank card, imagining things that are likely even beyond this world.

Linnix walks over toward Xaris, "You won't go alone; I too can hide in shadows fairly well, although I probably could be tracked if someone tried really hard."

"I suppose, I haven't been truly honest with the rest of you." Linnix says, "I've never actually told you what I did before, for a living I mean."

Linnix averts her gaze, "It's... not anything I'm really proud about, especially not now. A thief, yes, I suppose that describes it well."

She closes her eyes, "I am... ashamed of it now. However, I suppose, it is fortunate, because that gave me some skills that could be helpful now."

Linnix's voice fades, and then she looks back to the others, "But I won't go back to that," she says, her eyes glimmering with defiance at that past, "So, please, don't hold that against me. I will do my best to help, if you can trust me after what I have said."

And so thus did the fight begin, and although the unknown is what the party was facing, they knew better than to wait for explanations. Those would have to wait, if they came at all. Gho Lightning waited for nothing, not even confirmation that any of the others would help, and quickly ran right up to the half of the Phase that held no physical resistance.

"Tri Strike!" Gho Lightning calls, slashing horizontally twice before ending with a strong, downward strike with his dual blades.

To everyone else's astonishment, Gorre's HP, which before said 5000/5000, now, after those three hits, became 4&!9/5000.

"Is that all you got?" The mosaic with the yellow crystal upon it asks tauntingly as the Phase suddenly whirls around the area, trailing a blue afterimage with its speed.

It stops just as suddenly, and although Kimono rushed forward to help, at that moment Rei Lightning holds her back, "Wait!"

With the two halves spinning, Gorre hovers into the air, then slams down upon the ground, sending out a shockwave that would've otherwise hit Kimono. After this, both Gho and Rei Lightning use their Skill Triggers, rushing up to the Phase.

"Tri Strike!" Gho Lightning calls as he repeats his attack.

"Lateral Moon!" Rei Lightning calls, hitting Gorre with an upward slash before jumping into the air and following through with a strong horizontal blow.

Kimono takes this opportunity to strike as well, her scythe easily hitting both halves of the Phase. However, only on one does damage register, while on the other half it only displays zeros for damage done.

Kiku quickly runs after the others, as she would have to heal as quickly as possible if needed. Kusardo, however, keeps to the sidelines, uncertain if felling this opponent would be worth the risk.

Gho and Rei Lightning quickly retreat after their strikes, indicating to Kimono to do so as well, as Gorre once again wavers around the field.

[Blade of Scheme]

The words flash at the top of the screen as Gorre's two mosaics go on either side of Rei Lightning, and spin in a circle faster and faster, taking her health gauge down to critical.

"Repth!" Kiku calls, a swirl of white sparkles quickly enveloping Rei Lightning and recovering a portion of her health bar.

"Thanks!" Rei yells back, before striking the Phase again with a second strike of Lateral Moon before backing away again.

At that moment, however, a bizarre cry echoes around the area, sounding very much like a cry of pain. From the tone and pitch, it sounds as though the source is Azure Kite.

Gho Lightning curses something under his breath, "Gorre! There's little time, and you know this!"

Gorre pauses in consideration, "Agreed." The blue half says, "Very well then, you are indeed the best candidate we have seen."

"Could be better, but it's not like we're too picky." The one with the yellow crystal adds.

"However, there is one last test for you." The one with the blue crystal says.

"Just try to hit us in our other form!" The other finishes.

At that point, both halves of Gorre seem to explode, leaving behind an orb, one yellow and one blue, of light. Their stone mosaic bodies disintegrate into sparkles of violet, which quickly are absorbed within Gho and Rei's character bodies.

The two orbs of light merge, although their two separate parts can still be seen. After the light fades, Gorre's new form can be seen. It almost appears like a bizarre doll, with a round head, with two halves of a crescent moon jutting out of either side, and conical arms and body, hovering over a spherical centre that has appears similar to an eye. At the back, it has a flat diamond shape hovering behind it, as well as almost a sled-like shape below it. In this form, Gorre is primarily blue in colour, with the crescent moon coloured yellow.

"Catch me if you can!" Gorre calls, before zooming around the field, trailing a blue afterimage in its wake.

Linnix surveys the battleground, "It looks, to me anyway, that all the other players were present. Evidence of magic, I'd guess from that spellcaster patron's group, the knight, I'd guess from that blacksmith's group, and the horse from that jeweller's group."

Linnix tilts her head thinking, "Well, I guess the good thing is they're causing quite a commotion, and will drag more attention to them than to us."

She chuckles, "Actually, if we're lucky, they could end up just fighting with themselves and slowing each other down; being in the rear means we don't have to worry about that so much, especially if they underestimate us."

Linnix pauses, giving it a bit more thought, "Well, I agree with Aelistae; it'd be easiest to wait for tonight, unless someone thinks of a different plan."

Hmm, I wonder if I'll learn how to use a bit of magic at some point. Linnix thinks, It seems very interesting...

Through the blue flame door. The flames licked at the character's bodies, but did not harm them, rather it was much more like a comforting notion, trying to reassure that things would turn out alright, if such a thing were possible. Questions were thought of, but they would have to wait, because then, at that point, everyone's FMD goes black.

A sound is heard, almost like a large raindrop hitting the surface of a body of water, and then it is seen. At first it is faint, only a slight red tint amidst the darkness in a circle that flows out from the centre, but then the ripple strengthens, taking on a lighter, bluer tinge as well as growing in intensity as the blackness fades into static. Then, suddenly, a violet ring amidst the spectrum appears, then lengthens horizontally, engulfing the screen. The sound of a large oceanic wave is heard as the purple weaves back and forth as though it were water you are cutting through. At times, the screen inverts in colour with a brief hint of static, and then you finally reach the end of the purple wave, with both sides exiting your perspective.

Suddenly, from below rises what appears to be an oval stone mosaic, lengthened vertically, with a crystal at its top. From the mosaic, the front portion of a face juts out, so that rather than an oval mosaic it just appears to be the front half of a humanoid face, without warning and roars before disappearing off the screen at the top. A second follows the first one's path and growls rather than roars. The tone of the first seems feminine, and the tone of the second seems masculine. They then appear together toward the left side of the screen as red words appear on the screen. The back of one has a yellow circle, and the back of the other has a blue circle.

"Take this!" They shout in unison, their teeth chattering for a moment before their faces meld back into their mosaic forms.

The red words are as follows:

At the top right: pHAse: 5
At the middle right: GORRE
At the bottom, centred: The MACHINATOR

The screen then fades to white.

When the screen returns, the two mosaics are hovering in the air before the group, but where the group actually is unknown. The area appears to be a large, rectangular, floating island, with two stripes of orange hexagons running parallel across it lengthwise. Bits of other floating land can be seen to the side of this island, but nothing can be seen past that, as it is blocked from sight by swirling clouds.

"The candidates that seek the power of the fifth," The left mosaic says, its crystal shining blue and its face showing briefly.

"Well, if you want our power, prove to us you have your own first!" The right mosaic says, its crystal shining yellow.

Rei and Gho Lightning grin, "That's why we're here!"

"Kimono! Kusardo! Whether you help or not is up to you, and if you do, strike only the one with the yellow crystal and back." Gho Lightning calls.

"Kiku, we'll undoubtedly need your help!" Rei Lightning calls back to the cleric, who still seems a bit dazed after running into Maera.

Kiku shakes her head, clearing away the daze, "Right!" She calls.

"However," Gho Lightning says to the rest of the group, "You all should be aware of one thing. This monster, if you use the term, cannot be destroyed."

However, in spite of this fact, perhaps the largest concern for each person present is not this opponent that's in front of them, but the feeling within them of something else. It's almost as though those hours spent playing before were nothing more than a dream, and now the characters were waking up, with something else beside them as well.

Another? Oh, that is not what Sen wanted to hear. Worse, there had to be a notable battle now over 'possession' of the other? That would be noticeable, too noticeable, and the Pursuers would not pass up the opportunity, once they found out that there was another Sylph they could capture. Sen sighs, a soft and pretty, yet sad sound.

"That's not good." Sen says, "But..." She bites her lip, "I'm afraid that's not the worst news I know right now."

"I've... been here too long." Sen barely whispers.

She shakes her head, clearing the thought from her mind, "I'm sorry, what I meant to say is they won't be the only ones after the other. A group of people I call the Pursuers have followed me to this world. They aren't close yet, but they are annoyingly persistent; I've been trying to lose them in several other worlds now. If they find out of another, easier catch, they'll undoubtedly go after her, and with this noticeable battle, they'll likely find out."

Sen pauses for a moment, "That really forces me to do something. I'd say that the biggest threat right now is the Pursuers, especially considering they'll be using any means necessary and in their capabilities. If I leave now, they might follow me, but with the other Sylph here, there's a bigger chance they'll go after her first."

Sen stops for a moment. Just what is there to do? She has to be careful; any overt movements on her part will instantly get her noticed by the Pursuers... Sen quietly contemplates as she allows Erihsehc to take in this new information.

Hearing a crossbow bolt fire, Iskanna bites her lip. Weren't they both supposed to be dead by now? Oh well... time to act.

Well, first thing's first; if she can't see the enemy, she can't help and attack it, so light is needed. Secondly, if they were to attack her... well, she knows she can't stand up to much in terms of physical damage.

So then the question is defence or light first? Well, that would be an easy pick. Iskanna raises her hands and holds them in front of her, as though in prayer. Then she reaches forward, to draw the outline of a flower in the air. All the while she does this, she sings softly in a melodic language that seems to lift the spirit. She finalizes the spell by bringing her hands together once more.

Wordlessly, she nods to Drassarr as he gets ready to move forward. Jevaf silently contemplates her choice of weapon. For the moment, it would seem her bow is her best option; it would allow her to aim at virtually any of the enemies and strike the most dangerous one first.

With her hood still for the most part blocking her face, Jevaf reaches behind her back and pulls out her bow. Then, staying close to the right side of the cave, she enters, paying close attention to the ground before her and avoiding loose rocks and other things that could make noise.

Maera at first seems to merely ignore Kusardo, but then she turns and looks at his drawn blade, "How like you, Skeith, always the aggressive one, ready to take on more than you can."

Maera smiles unnervingly at Kimono, "A mere sign? No. It's your name. Or at least, the name of a potential you hold. Can't you feel it? You can't deny that it's there."

Twin Lightning steps forward on either side of Kimono, "What do you want, Maera?" They ask in unison.

"Corbenik," Maera says, looking over the shoulder of Kimono toward Kiku, "Where are you going?"

"A-away from you!" Kiku says defensively, turning to run toward the door.

The smile fades from Maera's lips, "I'm afraid not; you are coming, are you not?"

Kiku freezes. "What?" She asks.

"I asked you, are you coming?" Maera repeats.

"Where?" Kiku asks.

"Don't you know where?" Maera asks, sounding slightly disappointed.

Kiku's eyes widen, and it looks as though she's about to reply, when a trio of bizarre figures walk in from the door behind Maera, and she glances over her shoulder to look at them. Two of them are blade brandiers, and each hold a strange, jagged blade. One of these has a well toned bare chest, with armoured legs and a shoulder plate upon his left shoulder. His skin is tinted a greenish colour, while his face is half green, half black. The other blade brandier is almost akin to a knight in azure, plate armour, with white hair that covers his face to just above his mouth. He has what would appear to be the remnants of wings, appearing nothing more than strange metallic structures that vaguely resemble a set of avian wings, and a couple of white feathers dangle off of them. The final person and apparent leader of the trio is dressed mostly in red, with short, spiked blue-green hair and a red hat. He has a muffler that blocks view of the lower portion of his face, and only one of his eyes is visible, the other hidden under his hair, as a seemingly glowing green. In his hands are two blades, each three pronged, with two on either side of the main one, jutting out at a bizarre angle. The leader also seems to have an aura of blue fire.

"Maera," The leader says, sounding slightly cold and demanding, "We can't ignore you for much longer; you are intentionally damaging the World!"

"Azure Kite." Maera acknowledges, "Do you intend to lose again?" She asks, reaching behind her back and pulling out a blade that is identical to the ones Kite is wielding to verify the truth of her statement.

"If I must." Kite responds, "I will stop you."

Maera glances back at the group, "Gorre, Tarvos, Skeith, I expect you to look after Corbenik, alright? Give my regards to the other four if you see and recognize them."

Azure Kite also addresses the group, "Go on! We'll take care of Maera."

With the battle begun, the barrier that appears at the start of battles encases Maera and the Azure Knights, leaving Twin Lightning and the party to their own devices. The battle between Maera and the Azure Knights completely blocks off the doorway to the south.

"Let's go!" Rei Lightning calls, quickly directing everyone toward the blue flame door.

Kate examines the situation. Quilla seems stable for the moment, but restoring her may cause the remaining droids to pick her as a target. Even if unlikely, it isn't a risk worth taking, especially since Kate can only use the MA's once per day per patient.

So, instead, Kate goes on the offensive, seeing as how the combat will be over soon enough anyway. She rolls behind one of the remaining droids, and from one of her frontal compartments a bizarre arm comes out. This one is jointed, but rather than a claw at the end, it has almost a blaster-like tip.

It takes no longer than a nanosecond for a strong electric pulse to shoot from the electroshock probe to crackle around and through the droid.

((Melee touch attack with electroshock probe and hopefully I get to fry its circuits))

Well, I'll write something up ^_^

"Uhh, what enemy?" Iskanna asks, looking in the direction Toby is pointing.

After a moment of staring, Iskanna murmurs, "I don't think my sight is as clear as yours."

"Oh well, here..." Iskanna says, raising her bow, "Look from behind my shoulder, and angle my bow arm toward wherever the sentry is as best you can."

((After this is done))

"Alright, I should still be able to hit, in using my spell." Iskanna says, before murmuring.

"Ad ghv togwr hq ghv tic, aao k grmiu ao anoeg."

The very air itself then seems to form an almost unfelt cylinder, something to provide her arrow with a trajectory that is impossible otherwise. Then, she lets the feeling of the power of nature rise through her as she nocks and pulls back the bowstring, making sure to hardly stray from the angle. The power of the hurricane, the tornado's fury, the volcano's might... the power of nature when it brings forth destruction. Iskanna temporarily closes her eyes as she feels the dark power engulf her and her arrow. She snaps her eyes open and fires the black arrow.

Right now we're at a more-important cutscene, so be careful

And in a game, this would be a cutscene; this isn't supposed to be an actual battle... unless you end up making it into that...

I'm sorry I moved forward without you posting to the 'point of no return' Serge, but I really wanted to get to this cutscene; I had been thinking about it quite a bit recently ^_^

Well, good luck!

"Well then, off we go!" Rei Lightning shouts as she leaps into the vortex.

Soon enough, everyone else follows, except for Kiku, who remains for just a moment longer. "How strange... and interesting. I'm going to find out more." She resolves, before finally entering as well.

The swirling colours of the vortex quickly overload everyone's FMD, causing it to go black. When vision returns, Rei and Gho Lightning can be seen helping everyone up. The background music is dramatically different than that of the Outer Dungeon and even the other areas, and the graphics are quite different too. The walls are made of tiled stone, and upon some sections of the wall are blue graphics, likely representing different Wave attributes. Lanterns light up the square room, with one door in front and one other behind. Where the party appeared is in the centre of the room, facing the door to the north. The background music is initially a series of strong deep drum beats, almost sounding like a heartbeat at first before it is overlaid by higher pitch notes of different instruments, adding to the spooky feel of the area.

Gho Lightning smiles, "We're at the lowest level of the dungeon, next to our destination, which is through that door."

Gho Lightning points at the doorway to the north. This doorway is open, and seemingly leading to blackness, which one would expect is another room, not unlike the other behind the party. However, this particular doorway also seems to be bathed in a blue fire, which radiates and contrasts with the darkness behind it.

"Why does that one have blue fire?" Kiku asks.

"Oh, it's a warning to normal players," Rei Lightning replies, "We don't need to worry about it."

The Twin Lightning characters head toward the blue fire door, but don't get farther than a single step.

"I was beginning to think you wouldn't be coming." A female voice says from behind the group.

Immediately, both Rei and Gho Lightning visibly tense, "Maera." they almost hiss.

Turning toward the source, everyone can see that Twin Lightning is quite right; hovering above the floor not even ten paces away from the group is Maera, her wings beating softly. She hovers there, almost expectantly, her arms crossed, and her hands not holding anything.

"I'm impressed." Maera says, "It would seem you and the others are bound, perhaps destined, to run into each other. Already, you've found five of the others. You have been busy haven't you, Gorre?"

The phonetic of the name Maera calls Twin Lightning is exactly like if Gho and Rei were said together as a single word.

"What do you want, Maera?" Gho Lightning asks bluntly.

Ignoring him, Maera examines Kimono, Kusardo, and finally Kiku, her eyes slightly widening at Kiku.

"Tarvos, Skeith, and... Corbenik." She murmurs, seemingly to name each in turn.

Her lips curve into a slight smile as she looks at Kiku, regarding Kiku carefully. Strangely enough, when she calls those names, you feel something, something that can only be thought of as 'inside', yet you know it isn't in you. It is almost an acknowledgement, or perhaps it is recognition, but either way, the sensation is alarming. Unconsciously, Kiku begins to back away from Maera, her hesitant footsteps sounding sharply off of the floor.

Subject: Climb in Silence, Risk no Noise...

It had been a couple of months since the group had been together, yet no more about Jevaf had she given than her name, and by now the others could come to expect nothing more. There was something about the quiet Drow that seemed to suggest she had little to say. Perhaps it was her lack of speech and opinion, or perhaps it was the dangerous glint in her eyes when the conversation shifted to query about her past and particular skills. Regardless of what it was, she kept to herself, even after these months, and even now she is silent, with only the noise of her equipment truly making any noise for her.

Professionally, she fastens spikes to the tips of her leather boots, securing them about her ankles. Once finished this, she judges the face of the climb. Deeming the harness and her pitons and rope to be unnecessary for this short distance, Jevaf pulls out a set of metal claw-like gauntlets, with a spike extending from each fingertip. She fastens these carefully to her hands, and begins her ascent, stabbing into any cracks she spots with her feet, or balancing on a good foothold, as she reaches upward almost catlike with her hands. Each stone and each crack she considers before either clasping the hold or stabbing her spiked fingers into an array of cracks before stepping up further. She concentrates on her task, her eyes wary as she goes further up.

Subject: Last Chance to Run

Thankfully, there are only two other encounters with Outer Bugs, although, with the way the party is handling them, there might as well be more for the easy experience. Soon, the party can feel impatience gnawing at them, wanting to get to the end already.

Finally, the end is in sight, quite literally. The path just stops at a dead end. However, to the side of the bizarre floor is what appears to be a simplified graphic version of a platform, not unlike those you see in dungeons and areas. Ahead, there is a swirling vortex that appears to be made of the background graphics converging and spiralling into a single point. There is even added colour from an unknown source; this must be another portal.

"Alright. This is your last chance." Gho Lightning warns.

"Past this point, there is no turning back; logging out cannot reverse what you will see." Rei Lightning says cautiously.

"Power, some will call it that. It is power in a way, but it is also alive. Take that into consideration, and do not take it lightly." Gho Lightning adds.

"Of course, this is the power Gho and I are seeking specifically; your own will be in different places." Rei Lightning continues, "That is, of course, only if you choose to meet its challenge and embrace it."

"But if you want to back away, this will be your last and only chance to do so." Gho Lightning finishes.

Kiku's eyes widen slightly, but for some reason, she doesn't seem too surprised. "This is... more than a game." She murmurs.

Rei Lightning nods, "Yes. Far more."

Kiku turns and looks at Kimono and Kusardo, her eyes neither pleading nor warning, just curious about what they choose to do.

Net gain for the two fast-forwarded encounters:
3120 exp each (instant 3 level ups)
6240 gp each

Sen audibly gasps. Well, it isn't that audible to others, seeing as how she is far above the ground, but it still is there nonetheless. This feeling...

Sen sniffs the air, vaguely sensing it. The aura of the pursuers, of her specifically. So they finally came. Sen sighs; why didn't they just leave her alone?! Still, the aura is quite weak, so she has time. How much time, well, that was hard to tell.

Nothing. There doesn't seem to be any hanging or anything happening. Something's going on. Sen quickly departs to the meeting location, and finds Erihsehc.

"I'm not sure what's happening, but that man wasn't brought out for trial or anything from what I could see." Sen whispers.

He'd been open with her, well, and she kind of nosed herself into his business, but was it fair to tell him about the Pursuers? No, Sen decides, it would only worry him, and he had enough on his mind.

"Umm, wouldn't they notice if we picked one off, like if I shot one?" Iskanna asks.

She averts her black eyes away, "Sorry, I really don't know much about tactics; I prefer reading the books about theory, especially magical, not battles... those I tend to fall asleep with..."

Absently, Iskanna begins to braid her long black hair behind her.

"Well, I have a spell that would be sure I would hit one of them without any chance of missing... so... if you pick a sentry, did you want me to use that?" She asks.

Finishing her braid, Iskanna ties the end off with a white ribbon that she had loosely tied around her wrist.

"So... what enemy am I supposed to shoot?" Iskanna asks.
