Topic: Of Dragons and Men.
Subject: Kandar

Kandar felt impelled to grab at the bow, like an external force was acting on him. So he reached out and tried pulling the longbow free. All of a sudden a rush of thoughts hit him, he hadn't really taken in what the girl said, the apostle wasn't what they were looking for the weapons 'ah' he thought to himself these must be equipped to someone who can harness their power this mastermind between these simple assasins must know how! So he will have 10 masterful weapons and a dragon!! He must hurry, He tuggged harder to free the beautiful bow.

Kandar approached the girl warily knowing her talents must be great even as small as she is, "Hi, don't cry, now you must do exactly as i say ok, you are correct the apostle is in grave danger but we, all three of us, we can save him, now firstly who is durandal?" Kandar hoped he was someone else who could help he wasnt sure him and the tiefling could pull it off single handedly. "Also you must show me to the apostle, that is if you know where he is of course." Now come girl i will go first direct me. he motioned to Vanian to fall in behind her protecting her in the middle she was vital if they were to save the apostle. If the Apostle died the world would be in turmoil 'ah perfect for the dragon summoning' he thought to himself come on now he must rush the loner child in the city, will be the man who saved the world he would be remembered he swore of it.

"Reveal yourself hidden one." Kndar looked about him nervously a droplet of perspiration appearing on his forehead. He calmed a moment and spoke quietly to the voice "yes we are here to stop him." Kandar turned to look at Vanian he looked ready he had been a fighter before and was used to these situations, Kandar however had only practiced on dummies and his strength was in flight not on land. He grimaced though and started forward determined to save the apostle. He must end this!

Kandar motions to his new friend to follow him People cleared out of the way of the two unusual looking and untrusted outer planar creatures. They were both used to it though as they were always persecuted because of their race, they headed for the golden mirrored building amazed and hardly taking their eyes off of it. They carried on their way Kandar was sure that the apostle resided here so was looking for an entrance frantically skirting the perimeter of the huge tower. No wonder he thought why people were so led by religion when structures were built like this when they lived in simple huts made of straw and mud.

Kandar dismissed his mount with a whistle hoping to intimidate the guards a little, he approached the guards confidently, and said "My friend and I are simply here on holy pilgrimmage we come to sit before the high apostle we have some... interesting information to relay. Trust me it's of utmost importance." He motioned towards Vanian to stand with him, and hoped the guards would let him through because after all they didn't look much like pilgrims at all.

OOC: can my mount carry two people if so here is the post!

Kandar stopped eyeing up the tiefling not even attempting to be subtle about it could he afford two misfits himself and he going into the city of Alimar it was holy as it was. He had to make a decision well he was alone maybe he needed some company "Sure I will take you with me your not scared of heights are you?" And with that Kandar briskly strolled out of the building hoping the tiefling will follow he gave a sharp whistle, so high now human could hear it. He got to the landing platform and waited for his transport to get there. Sharply he looked behind him seeing if the tiefling was there he hoped he was.

Quickly Kandaar fumbles around taking the hat off of his head showing the tiefling what he was he was planetouched too. Kandar needed more innformation on what he had heard in the old inn so he decided to trust this tiefling he seemed worthy enough and so he told him of the few assasins, a dragon named taori, dragon island being raised and finally of the city of alimar asking if he had seen or heard anything of value about this in his crusades. He also asked for directions to Alimar and told him to ignore roads jus the exact direction.

Kandar stood staring at the horns and scars not wanting to be rude his eyes shifted to the floor. He wasn't sure he cpould trust this young man so kandar told him "well i was just wandering the local surroundings and suddenly a snake attacked me seemingly from nowhere and a minute later i was completely blinded so i went towards the noise coming from this town. Where am i by the way?"

Hoping the man would answer him quickly and then he could inquire about those ghastly horns and scars was he a demon?

Kandar started to panic, his vision completely disabled, he could not ride much longer without risking an injury. He heard a buzzing underneath him, it must've been some settlement he whispered the gentle words into his steelwings ears telling him to land.

He had landed just away from the settlement as he instructed, he fiddled around in his bag, he had found it! He put on his hat and hoped he looked less aasimar and more normal human.

He ordered the steelwing to stay nearby but out of sight and so Kandar wandered into the village hoping for gratitude lastly he hid his gold about himself in many different pockets and crevices.

He must act quickly, knowing it is life or death, swiftly Kandar gave a quick jab to the face of volke as he was blocking the doorway. He bolted through the doorway and whistled calling his steelwing to him, his mount sensed the tenseness in him and was already in the air as she scooped him up onto her back and she flew recklessly, it did not help that Kandar wasn't saddled properly, but he had escaped at least.

The view was blurred as he flew over all forms of scenery that whooshed past him in a spray of different colours. He knew that they must land soon so he didn't risk another fall, Kandar leaned forward and whispered an ancient tongue into the steelwings grey and pointed ear, as he did this the steelwing began to halt and started to drop through the air and landed its claws raking the ground as it made contact.

Kandar had to think now what was that city called and what were the names of the assasins, he sat and meditated for a while although it was in a slightly disturbed form, this did however clear his mind giving the clear facts now, Alimar was the city and volke was the elf to assassinate the apostle, their was also a plan involving dragons he remebered now about brendan, linus, sonia and Nino.

Now he must fly to Alimar obviously a huge holy city but which way was it he needed some form of information, but where can he find it out he decided to fly aimlessly again in search of another village town or city.

Off he flew and as he readied himself for a new flight a thought struck him, was it Volke or brendan or even linus who murdered his elderly mentor, after all it could've been he was always mumbling about how he has rode dragons a fairy tale surely?

As Kandar landed, his thoughts were racing as he had not a clue what to do, and what just happened had shocked him. Rarely was he thrown off in such a manner, was it a lapse of concentration or some form of magic, he hoped the first.

When he landed he had three options head towards the village in the distance seeking refuge and clearing his head using meditation, travel on foot to some source of information that might turn up or head on his way to nowhere on his mount. After nearly twenty minutes if sitting cross-legged on the plains he had decided, he dismissed his steelwing and went on his way to the village in the distance hoping he would be treated normally, being an Aasimar it wasn’t always easy that’s why he loved that mountain so much it was just him he loved to be alone, everything about it excited him, he could learn to fend for himself with no-one to rely on, this he believed made him the strong man he was both physically and mentally fit beyond the requirements of a normal being.

He pressed on to the village and reached it noticing the buildings all around him he hated it, he saw a larger building he believed to be a house of accommodation. He reached the doorway and knocked politely.

whatever was in here would know about him soon as he entered the ave he made sure he waasn't quiet however not too loud, he picked Dragoncrest his huge shield and hooked it onto his arm, it clattered against his heavy full-plate armour and he unsheathed his longsword and held it pointing forward showing he was here foe, vindication and purification their cave shall be won he was sure of it only the friends who were with him best be ready this could be nasty.

Grakh looked upon the disgusting cat featured humanoid. He replied to the question "Of course I have my shield, dragoncrest, and yes your plan is very wise, lets do this I am sick of waiting here above the evil creatures below, they shall be vanquished."

Curse my armour Grakh thought to himself, he had made a mockery of himself trying to get up the cliff and Grakh sense of humour was not nearly at the same level as his dignity he felt almost ashamed that he had to try so many times to climb something the others found easy.

On the brighter side of life he had been able to make it in full plate armour which is commendable to say the least now at the top he wandered what they would do i mean storming the place wasn't the best idea in his books but sneaking around was not noble as he had wished it sneaking around in full plate would be hard to say the least.

One bit of Grakhs equipment he knew would be useful in this cavern was his tower shield as if the walls were thin enough he could uuse at as cover for not only him but his whole party letting the archers shoot over it while the melee combatants could form a phalanx if any had spears as he doubted his longsword would work in such a situation.

Climbing and been done often in his youth he would be the fastest and strongest in his tribe of warhungry orcs but the others weren't less fit or strong than him it was just that he was driven, driven by an unrelenting passion to beat his peers they had bullied and tormented him about his ethical and moral beliefs but at everything Grakh would win he would beat them at running, climbing, Jumping, swordsplay and even riding.

However, with this big hunk of metal strapped to him things could change and as flexibility was not a speciality for this armour but keeping him safe was so nevertheless he started to climb the cavern wall as quietly as he could keeping clinking to a minimum.

(climb roll +0 +6 skill - 6 for armour)
