Myra only had one healing spell of any decency left. She pondered if she should save it for the fighter or even herself, but seeing her fallen comrade she could not sit by and do nothing when she had the power to keep her in the battle for one more moment. With arrows flying at her, she layed her hands once more on her friend.

Subject: Will Adventure Come At Last?
Myra sat at the table thinking over everything. She was very interested in protecting her home and she would do whatever it takes Well, for me Kendra, I mean mayor Devrin, I would be the first to volunteer for such a task so it is with honor that I will make a presence here and watch after the towns troubles while the sheriff is gone. This is my town and I would do anything to protect it. I am no fighter either, but it takes courage to fight an enemy and since we are no major city, like Magnimar, if they cannot provide the help we need then I say, we must provide the town's strength. As for my young friend Welbry Myra continued turning to Welbry who seemed to be trying to avoid the others probing interest I'm sure he has his reasons to keep silent a part of his past .. looking at the others in the room one by one she added as we all do .. don't we

Good day sir. I am interested in making a couple of purchases. I need to stock up on provisions and I may be in the wilderness a bit. What do you have in the way of outdoor provisions that would assist me? Myra smiled at the young man behind the counter and looked around at the different items in the store. She picked up some extra rope and a couple extra sunrods off the shelf. Grabbing up some extra soap and an herbal knife, she set the items on the counter. I'll need some extra rations too. maybe a weeks worth and could you see if you have any seasoning. Those rations can be pretty bland

Subject: bonus spells
Unfortunately the headband does not give any bonus spells .. so you would only get 2 1st and 2 2nd level spells. So your effective int for bonus spells would only be 22.
2,2,1,1,1,1 etc
Doesn't that suck. How many people have been playing that a an item (such as a headband) gives a bonus to spells known or even skill points when it actually is only given when you take a permanent change to your stat. Headbands would only be considered temporary unfortunately. I just learned this recently and it makes me very sad

Subject: Myra back in town
It was good to be back in town. Myra enjoyed the hunt and the meal and although she thought that Aldern had shown childish behavior during the ride back, she had enjoyed getting to know what a Noble's life was like. Being a priestess, she had gotten to know many nobles but only when they were in need of some blessing or some other service. Back in Sandpoint she had been offered a room at the Rusty Dragon. She decided to stay. It was true that she could return to the cathedral, but she knew that this was her adventure and she should try to continue without returning so often to Father Zantus' hospitality.
Heading to her room, Myra quietly locked the door to her room and fell asleep. These beds were more lavish than the ones at the Cathedral and she felt a little guilty sleeping in them. A good nights rest for a good journey ahead. She fell asleep, thinking of the savory flavor of the boar and the thrill of a hunt. She had admired the aim of her companions and their skill with the bow. A skill she did not possess. As she drifted asleep, she thought of Desna and what her will might be for her.
In the morning, Myra awoke and found the letter underneath her door. A summons. She was curious. I wonder what Sherrif Hemlock might want she thought to herself as she read the note. She headed down the stairs and after helping herself to some breakfast, prepared by Ameiko Kijitsu, the taverns owner, she gathered her things and head out into the town to do some shopping. I'm going to need some better adventuring gear if I'm to stay out of trouble , Myra thought to herself as she perused the windows of several shops in town.

Subject: Around the Campfire
Myra was tired after the journey and ready for bed. She was excited about the hunt and the adventure of it all. Sitting by the campfire she almost fell asleep but heard Grush and the others talking about a mystery. She decided to speak up. I too had a similar experience this morning Grush. I found my holy relic to Desna to be .. different. She showed the symbol and pointed to the Emerald now forged into the silver. I can tell that it is mine .. in fact I know that it is mine .. but that emerald .. is not mine .. and almost as if a dream .. I know it is supposed to be there. I cannot explain it. What happened to you Grush? It is my belief that Desna has blessed us .. I feel this for more reasons than just this strange gift. (I will rely on some knowldege religion or spellcraft if it will help identify this as a gift from Desna)

Myra got up early and packed her things. Not even noticing at first the emerald now forged into her holy symbol until at last she looked into the mirror. At first she thought the symbol was a mistake .. had she picked up someone elses by mistake? but then she noticed too many similarities in the holy relic that proved it to be hers .. but how? In any case it was far better than the symbol she had before and as she placed it around her neck she felt no different really but the emerald sparkled in the light.
Myra got up and went downstairs. She kissed Father Zantus on the cheek and waved goodbye. Arriving at the Rusty Dragon she met up with the others and took her place on the coach. Good morning! she told the others and she made herself comfortable to the left of Selaro and across from the elf she had met the night before. I gave the ruby to the High Priest and he said that Desna is most pleased with your gift She nodded at Selaro and continued to Ariellyn. Good to see you could join us on the hunt, isn't it exciting! Myra's enthusiasm could hardly be contained.
Myra tried to make pleasant conversation with Aldern as they rode along. She answered his questions honestly and couldn't help but notice that whenever Selaro spoke, he really seemed to listen a bit more intently. I think he likes you she whispered at one point to Selaro as the coach and it's escort made its way to the west of Devil's Platter.

Yes .. I agree. The goblins sometimes cause a problem outside of the city, but never within the city walls. There must have been some larger picture to this goblin attack. I think there must have been some mastermind behind a goblin attack of this magnitude and boldness After a while, Myra arose and said her salutations. I must report back to the Cathedral. As long as the High Priest allows it I will see you tomorrow morning for the hunt. She shook hands with those around. She looked inside the bag which contained 5 platinum coins. One for each of us I guess. and took one and put it in the pouch with the gems. Waving as she exited the Rusty Dragon
Back at the cathedral she addressed Father Zantus. She told him about the situation and although he had told her of her destiny and gave her the freedom to follow it, she felt it was only polite to inform him of where she was headed. She told him her thoughts on the seriousness of such a bold goblin attack and lastly took the large emerald from the pouch and handed it to the father telling him to aid with any costs this attack may have encored. She also took a ruby from her pouch and handed it to him saying This is from Selaro, a gift as well to the temple . Apologizing for the disruption of the cathedral's consecration, she headed to bed packing for the journey before she fell into a deep slumber.

Myra had watched the conversation go on .. When Selaro had gotten up she noticed that the noble seemed saddened by this and in an apparent inner emotional outburst had excused himself from the table and headed back to his room.
Myra, herself, was enjoying her drink and the company of her new friends. The wizard got up suddenly and walked off without much warning leaving Myra with Grush and looking around the bar. She heard another call over to the noble but the noble was too put off to pay her any mind. Myra motioned over to the newcomer, who also had a medal around her neck. Please join us. It seems some of our others have left but there is plenty ale and fine wine to go around
Selaro returned after some time and sat back down at the table. She asked where the others had gone and Myra shrugged. Master Foxglove has returned to his room. but the hunt is on for the morning I am sure that all who arrive will be welcomed on it She smiled at Selaro. There is plenty of ale and wine left. It really shouldn't go to waste. and this pouch .. the noble left it .. I looked inside (I wonder what I saw)

Myra had returned to the Cathedral. As she approached the cathedral square in a hurry she saw many of the lower priests and priestesses healing the many injured from the battle. Fortunately there looked to be few dead among them. The High Priest was on the Cathedral steps and wasted no time in running over to Myra when he saw her.
Myra, my child! I heard that it was because of you and some others that the Goblins were forced to make an early retreat. They say they even kept them from burning down many of the buildings. I am glad to see you are ok. I knew you would be though .. there is something I have not told you but I feel it is necessary now
With this Father Zantus looked around to see if anyone was listening and satisfied they were alone he continued I had a vision .. from Desna herself. She appeared to me and told me that you were destined for greatness and that she had a special mission for you. I was afraid to tell you sooner because I was afraid of losing my star pupil. However, in light of recent events I believe that it is your destiny to travel with these others and follow Desna's path for you. Here. Take these potions.
Myra looked at the potions and it jogged her memory. Father Zantus .. we also found these among the goblins .. can you identify them for me.
The High priest wasted no time in identifying the potions and then he pointed out into the street. Your friends come .. go with them .. Greatness awaits
Myra ran back and joined her new companions. She ran up next to Selaro and handed the potions back describing the value of each one and shared the other potions she had received. There was enough healing potions for each and then some.

Myra received her medal with great joy. Although she felt a little uncomfortable at all the attention she was now receiving she wore the medal proudly. She looked at the shiny gems inside the small pouch and her eyes widened. She must give a portion of this back to the church in time. She tied her pouch securely to her belt and continued up to the door of the inn.
Looking up at the Rusty Dragon shaped awning that gave the inn it's name she walked up the stoop and motioned to the others. Well . . I think our patron and our destiny awaits inside.

Myra smiled and answered the question directly. I am a priestess of the Cathedral, an assistant to the High Priest himself. It is nice to meet you all and I am glad I could put my services to use. This battle has taken a lot of energy out of me but I will recover by morning.
Myra straightens herself and places her holy symbol back behind her neck. She continues As far as these potions .. I think I can have them identified rather quickly back at the cathedral. If it is okay with you I will take these with me and meet you at the Rusty Dragon for a drink later on .. and I do enjoy a good drink
Myra tucked the potions away in her sack and waved at her new friends. I hope to see you all at the inn later tonight. Drinks will be on me, if our patron doesn't come through for us.
