Subject: Player Character Knowledge

I am currently in discussion with the DM about my presence or lack thereof in the game. Please do not use my out of game actions as if they were in game ones. I will be the one to remove Satya from the party if it comes to that. Or I will ask the DM to do so.

Thank You

And yes I'd like to continue the game if you still want me.

Ava, to be fare to you and the other players in the game you must know that in real life I live with the two people in this game that you have had conflict with the most. We have tried very hard to not let that influence our playing in game here because we play, and DM, many D&D games together IRL. We try very hard to keep our player and character knowledge separate for the benefit of the role playing aspect.

I am sorry. I realize now, in retrospect my desire to leave was prematurely placed solely on you. My husband and flatmate share in the influence of that choice as well. I am very protective of the people that I care for and so I spent a lot of time fighting the urge to take sides and want to defend them. It wouldn't have helped anyone in game and simply made you feel ganged up on and that is not my desire. Their reactions and feelings towards your responses to them in the Q&A I not only read in game but saw first hand. I do not have the freedom and disconnectedness that you have to be able to simply post and then turn your computer off.

I over reacted, and feel like I just went and made things worse. I don't know what I can do to fix this mess.

Ava, your treatment of people OOC in this game has put me off to playing in this campaign entirely. Its a game, and I'd like to think that we all come here because we want to have fun. However this is the second time things have been misconstrued between you and another player in this game, and in the end you are right and you get the last word and that is all that seems to matter.

I am sorry Tiamat to do this after you have worked so hard to try and include me but I do not wish to be involved in a game where I have to be afraid of what ever I post in character because Ava might not like what I have to say or that she feels that I will be wrong in what I post. I came to RDI because I missed the creative writing but now I believe that it will be less stressful for me if I find a different game to be involved with.

Satya listened intently to the young woman then turned to her in response to her request.

"I found myself in your position just last night. I cannot speak for everyone else but I will welcome you. I am called Satya of the tribe Laasya."

"I am from the Jade Coast, its a ways from here."

As she finishes her last few bits Lakota scans the room for any students that could be rounded up for Kannizan.

"If you have some time now please join me to visit master Kannizan. He requested that I bring some students down for some kind of armor and weapon care training. I have not had much time for in depth training in this area, only just the basics. He was hoping to get a head start with the students on that this year."

Lakota stands and takes a moment to approach the few students lingering without direction that where in the dinning hall and directs them to Kannizan's forge.

I am sorry for not updating as often as I would like. My computer is broken and so I am limited to when ever I can find one that I can be on. My husbands computer most of the time I can use but I am not comfortable being on it for extended periods of time. I will do my best to keep up. For now Satya is quite and observing so not much is needed for her posts.

Satya reached the house with the others and waited in silence as the mass of people that their group had become made their way inside the governor's home. It was possible that these women would end up joining them however she would not assume anything and wait her turn for an introduction. She still kind of felt like an outsider even with the belated invitation extended to her to join in the investigation.

"Yes sir." Lakota addressed the master as she spotted the young elf motioning to her, then made off across the room.

Lakota approached the elf carefully, trying to gauge weather or not she seemed offended by her earlier actions. "I am sorry for running off on you this morning. It was necessary that I get that run. I can be very cranky with out proper exorcise." I brief awkward pause then, "My name is Lakota." She held out her hand as a greeting but she did not smile.

"Hirokuun is a very interesting male, I am sure that the debate that he triggered earlier is long from over. I should like to continue it some time." Lakota made one last sweep of the mess hall looking for some newbies remembering her orders and spotted a few from earlier.

Subject: Late for class

After a quick shower and change into her training clothes Lakota headed down to the mess hall. She was late and half the hall had already come and gone. She would have to grab a small bite on the run before her afternoon classes. She quickly scanned the hall. Noticing Kannizan eating in quiet solitude she veered over to that side of the room.

"Thank you for taking my group for me. I fear I didn't do the best that I could have with giving them an introduction today. Please let me know what I can do to make it up to you."

Lakota was still holding on to the embarrassment of the mornings events. She would also have to find the other student that had wanted to join her on her run. She had not meant to be so rude in running off but the wild had taken hold and she wanted desperately to run it out.

She scanned the hall again looking for the young female elf. She had recognized her as an archer. They had never had any classes together but she knew most everyone by sight and sent here at the school even if there hadn't been any formal introductions. Lakota was never really good at making friends in the school with her less then sunny disposition, but hadn't really made enemies either so far as she could tell.

I have been giving this game a lot of thought and I have decided to put it on hold for an undetermined amount of time. I would like to take some more time to develop the plot further and I would love to keep you guys in the game but I don't think I have quite got what it takes just yet to run a game by post. So consider this a false start for now and when the dust from this summer settles I will come back and see if I can do a better job next time around.

Sorry guys. I tried and I will try again.

Satya quietly watched the reunion of the siblings. She could only imagine what it would be like being reunited with someone so dear. It was a silver lining for an otherwise ominous day and she was anxious to begin on their journey.

After it seemed that everyone was in agreement to continue Satya picked up her pace again and continued on to the governor's home.

How much would my character know about the tension between the Elves and Weres. Is it still a simmering thing or pretty much a thing of the past with a little bit of a bad taste left in each others mouth? Also am curious about the other humanoid races that Lakota would have interacted with in her home territory.

And Were politics. Do they mirror wolf packs or have they moved beyond that? What's it like. Lakota was born into this so she was never just a human. Are other races susceptible to becoming a were or is it just humans? Would she have the same kind of education as humans? I am interested to know just how well read her people are in general and that will give me an idea of just how intellectual she could be.

"For a little bit more." Lakota was surprised at his posturing and bragging. He reminded her of a wolf in the strangest way. She never thought that an elf would ever remind her of her own kind but here he was. She was wondering how long before he would challenge her to a race too. The endorphins running through her veins were easing the tension from the fight out of her body. She knew if she shifted now she wouldn't come out fighting. She wanted to. Wolf was nudging her on. Please let me stretch too.

"I need to adjust, stretch out. It wont take long." And she sprinted ahead. As she put some space between herself and Hirokuun she let the change begin to take her. As her claws began she pulled off her top and loosed the belt at her waist as quickly as she could. The change came fast and furiously. Her clothes peeled away as she dove forward to the ground and tumbled head over heals. As the last of the transformation took hold she popped up on all fours and shook out her fur then took off running. The wind on her face was exhilarating. She let her toungue wag a little as she took in all the smells around her. Wolf found this new person interesting and dangerous. She liked the way he smelled even though she didn't trust him. As she ran she noticed that his scent was fading and that she had put some distance between them. She smiled to herself and turned to run back towards him and her things that she had left haphazardly strewn on the trail.

Carrying her belongings in her mouth she made her way back to her room to change and shower then headed to the dinning hall for meal time.

At Hirokuun's last comment Lakota fell silent. He seemed very bitter and she suspected that there must have been a falling out there. It was not her place to prod in one's personal life if they wished it to remain private so she did not ask any further questions. She wasn't sure what else to say so she continued in thoughtful silence.

Lakota listened to him as she ran. An unbalance here? What could he mean by that?

"I am not sure what kind of shift you are talking about." She continued on in silence a little more then added, "Did you lose your family, or the other way around?"

Satya was keeping a pace ahead of the rest of the group. The men were silent and the elven women where conversing in their native tongue. How wonderful that must feel for the two of them, she thought. She missed being able to speak in her own rolling fluid language. Satya had only ever once met someone on her travels that spoke Midani. He was a very old and well learned wizard. He knew much of her homeland and told her all about how her people came to live in the desert. It was beautiful to hear it all spoken like the great stories told at feast.

There was a shift in the conversation behind her and she heard Ardulace say "I believe we have company."

At that Satya looked to see who had joined them.

Lakota was startled at the arival of a third party to her run. The woman seemed very upset with Hirokuun's words and made it known. Lakota did not wish to find herself taking sides when she hardly knew the one and the other she did not know at all. "Hirokuun, I understand chaos. I am a great lover of nature and that is the greatest form of chaos. An earthquake or tsunami can accomplish the same thing as a war, but there is such a thing as too much destruction."

Lakota quickened her running pace. She wanted to be good and tired before dinner and the thoughtful conversation had slowed her pace to a comfortable one that she could have kept up all through the night. She would take time with introductions and details over a meal. She had not asked for company and only allowed him to join her so long as he kept up.

"So, what brought you here?"

Cool. Its different then what I imagined and I like that. So then Lakota was a Valenwood and mated to a Monteir. Unless there are more families to take into account, and being part of a larger more well known family is not a good idea.

What do you think?

Its possible I'm really over thinking this.

Also was wondering are werewolves strictly created in your world or are they able to be born as well? I am used to the Garu of the White Wolf game system, strictly genetic. But I like it if both options are available. Makes more sense that there are so many clans too.

At Seluumiel's urging Satya stood and headed out of the inn following her to the governor's residence. This woman had much wisdom and over the last day Satya had already began to develop that same respect and affinity for her as she had for the elders in her home. She knew that even though the elven culture was much different then many human ones that she had encountered, theirs was steadfast and wise.

As they made there way to the governor's home she said very quietly and plainly to Seluumiel,"You make a great leader and I am honored to have found myself in your company."
