Dang again. Well, if that Jack was de-jawed and disemboweled too, I hope they didn't put his parts in the product.

Stands for Military Assault Command Operations; basically they are commandoes who were attached to starships in the Star Trek: Enterprise era.

So I wonder if they're trying to say we're all Cylons in the here and now? Heh.

Interested to see where it goes from here.

Dang. Grugg, I shall keep your pancreas as a souvenir-heh.

See you in your next incarnation, I guess.

Today's my last day of school for the week (does anyone else know of colleges that don't hold classes on Fridays?); will have a post up in the next couple of days.

I think I'll be a joined Trill; I'm thinking maybe one of my past lives will have been on one of the series ships, maybe to bring a little Trek history flavor to the buffet.

Brom, how do you want to do this? PM a character concept to you and you do the sheets, or you going to give us info to make our own?

All righty; I'm definitely in then.

I think I'd like to be involved with Engineering again, if no one else has their sights on it yet.

Topic: Feeding The Undead
Subject: Our Brave Hero...

Roger's newfound Zombie-Inspired Tourette's Syndrome finally tapered off as the thing that used to be a man fell to the ground, unmoving.

"ZOMBIES! Are...real..."

His rigidly outstretched arm that was grasping the pistol slowly lowered to his side, then started trembling almost uncontrollably as the reality of this moment finally began to sink in. This wasn't a movie, he wasn't imagining it, and the undead creature before him, whose fluids were spattered over the big man in the biker outfit, wasn't some made-up actor from a zombie flick.

Roger continued staring at the thing's corpse for a moment, then took a deep breath and tried to pull himself together. He was still scared silly, but if there was one thing he had gathered from all his zombie-movie watching, it was that the goggle-eyed immobile bystander was always...well, lunch. In an absurd moment of inspired nerd-dom, he suddenly had the thought that maybe all of his zombie movies and games had been the perfect training for this moment. Maybe if he could see this weird situation as just another movie or video game, hell, he might just be the most qualified person around to protect himself from the damn things. He was a bona fide zombie expert, if he did say so himself. And he did.

It was with this inspired thought that he started to walk toward the big biker...and suddenly doubled over, sinking to his knees as he threw up his last seven meals...and possibly a toenail. As his retching subsided he began to tremble violently...who was he kidding? This wasn't a movie! It wasn't a video game! He was gonna be Zombie Chow!! Game over, man! GAME OVER!!

((Grugg, I leave this part open for you to rp the appropriate ass-chewing to get Roger motivated-hehe. Then the plan-forming, transportation and supply-wrangling and such. Do be gentle. Heh. Or don't. This should be funny.))

Now I'm having visions of wolf-whistling at Grugg as he saunters past carrying an Arby's bag-hehe.

Ok, I'll post later tonight, as school starts tomorrow, and I don't know if I'll have time again before next weekend.

Grugg, as we discussed, my post will cover getting me some transportation that will keep up with your bike, maybe raiding the Hannaford for some road rations (I had to Google Hannaford to figure out what it is; we don't have that down here-hehe), and getting ready to go wherever we will go from here. I'll leave it to you in your post to determine just where that will be.

I don't want to take too much liberty with what you're going to do, but in my post I AM going to assume you stay with me as we do this stuff, or that we will at least stay within eyesight of each other.

Artemis grinned with satisfaction as the group's attacks struck home on the monstrous creature. He flicked a few moist chunks of the beast from his face and robe as he quickly calculated his next move. Seeing that some of his companions were moving to press the attack, he opted for reducing the already-wounded beast's attacking capability; he felt that sending another Fireball at it could backfire, since the creature was back on the ground and heading for cover.

Calling once again upon his arcane powers, Artemis conjured a Ray of Enfeeblement spell and sent it at the beast.

((OOC: Al, I know this creature is larger than man-size, but I believe the spell has contingencies for larger creatures, -2 to attack roll I believe. If I'm mistaken, please let me know in Q & A and I will do something else. Thanks.))

I'm up for letting it go; but on the other hand we don't know if it might be going to get friends.

What the heck, I'll do one more combat round as well.

EDIT: Posted, but I opted for a debuff on the creature rather than an active attack. Should make it a little easier on anyone else staying in the fray.

Grugg, are we going to converse at all about what comes next?

I was going to do a post of my own earlier in the week, but I thought you might want to confer on next moves.

Lemme know.

Works for me.

Grugg, I might throw up a short post this week, but it won't be anything that will hijack our doings; just a little reactionary post or something.

Hope your New Years stuff goes well; one last party for me then it's back to school. Kinda gettin' nervous; been away from the ol' institutions of learning for a loooong time-hehe.

There's a program here in my area called Ready-To-Work; it's done through our local Career Center. It's a really good program that I went through myself, and it teaches you all you need to know to be effective at all aspects of finding and getting a job. The program I went through lasted a few weeks and was set in a classroom environment.

You might want to see if you have any sort of Career Center or something similar in your area, and see if they have a program of that type; a good starting point would be to contact your local Unemployment office and see if they can refer you to the proper people.

It worked wonders for me, and if you have a similar program in your area I'm confident it would do you a world of good.
