Subject: I'll make an entrance here
Muffled voices could barely be heard over the noise of the crowd inside The Bleeding Lute. If one had been listening, he would have heard people on the street yelling, one voice just bordering on baritone, yelling claims of thievery and the like, and another shrill, hurt sounding voice, shouting "But I never stole nothin' in my life!" This commotion lasted just a few moments, before the deeper voice was yelling "Where did the little pipsqueak get off to!"
The door to the inn opened. In stepped in what some people thought to be a child, the figure even got a few remarks of how he should come back when he was older. When one saw the ears though, people turned cautiously. This was not a child, but a Kender, a race many considered to be a curse upon the lands by the gods, who's sole purpose was to punish the wealthy and materially centered people. He wore a tan cloth vest, hand stitched by the looks of it. None of the lines were straight, it was barely held together by the thread poorly sewn in. His leggings were the same color and quality of work, and he wore pointed, dark brown leather shoes. His hair was to his shoulders, light brown, and he had the childlike expression, eyes large and full of wonder, that marked his race. Various pouches of all kinds were hanging from his belt, weighing it down so much that one had to wonder how it stayed around his waist. He walking cheerfully up to the bar, whistling a small tune to himself, and was dismayed to see he could barely see over the top of it. "Ummm....Excuse me." The bartender looked around, wondering who had spoken in such a voice, when he heard it again say "I'm down here." When he looked down, he saw the small Kender looking subdued, obviously bothered by his small stature. Sure, it came in handy for escaping in crowds, or between prison bars, but in situations like this... it was far from agreeable. He spoke again, "can I just have some water? I've been wandering an awful long time, and would you believe I've been accused of stealing and..." The kender rambled on, and the bartender turned to fetch some water, choosing to ingore him. Upon receiving his drink, he offered his small hand up to the man. "My name is Sandyring, but my friends call me Sandy." He turned around to view the crowd, when he noticed the song and clapped with enthusiasm. As he started moving towards the group, he could've sworn he heard someone behind him tell him to stop and pay for his drink, but decided it had to be directed to someone else.

Subject: hmmm
I'm juggling between sci fi and fantasy on that one, leaning a bit more towards fantasy. I've got a particular setting in mind, one I've created over the past while, and it would have a very heavy religious undertone. Basically, there are separate planes of existence, and a royal family, per say, of each plane. The plane for mortals sees these other planes as gods, the eldest of the royal families being gods, children being demigods. There is limited transportation to the other planes, and it is generally reserved for those taking the tests to become clerics for their respective gods, and the clerics play a major role in the society. I'm still working out the fine details.

I'm thinking about starting a game. I'd love to do a rules based, but being that I'm away from home I don't have the time or resources to do so. So, I'll be starting a free form to get back into the habit of role playing and whatnot. Lemme know if you're interested.

I appreciate the well wishes, everyone. I'm not able to be as active as I would like right now, considering we're on deployment at the moment, but I'll do what I can. I've definitely missed the Inn without even realizing I was missing it, ha.

Subject: Welcome back mate!
First off, I'd like to welcome Gboy back, coincidentally so close to my own return, it's nice. Second, Congratulations on the baby, Arwen! I'm sure this will bring much joy (and frustration :]) to your life.
Oh, and Gboy, I'll make it a point to check out your recruitment thread, see what all's going on there.
EDIT: So, the page just loaded enough for me to see the dates for Gboy's post....I'm almost three months late on that one. But, oh well, I guess just change it to "Belated welcome back"

Subject: It's been a while.....
So, I've attempted to make a few comebacks, but things kept rolling along quite well. It's been around a year and a half since my hiatus began, and in that time I've been quite busy in the Navy. But, as it would happen, one of the people in charge of me is a gamer, and he rekindled my faith in RPG's. So, I decided to make one more effort at a come back here, remembering all the fun times I've spent here with everyone.

Didn't realize I was gonna get slammed by work after finishing training, but I think I've got some time worked in now. If anyones starting a slower paced game, and is willing to be patient while I relearn game mechanics and everything, I'm definitely interested.

He learned his way around a gun quick, preferring Russian made weapons, such as the AK-47. While he was still young, surviving under the War Machines hardened him beyond his age, and stole all traces of a child within him. He was now a warrior, a soldier of the resistance, willing to fight until his last breath. He was cheering with the other men. feeling his respect for Allison rise.

Well i was only supposed to be gone temporarily but I ended up in Illinois for boot camp and I'm now a sailor. My dorm doesn't have Internet yet so all I can use is my iPhone for now. I'll be back to the inn asap though.

Well, I meant for my time away from the end to be short, but wouldn't you know it, life had other plans?
Tomorrow, I'm heading out to Illinois to start basic training and the beginning of my Naval career.
I just wanted to let everyone know I have every intention of returning when time permits, and that I have and will miss the inn while I am away.

So my appearances my become spotty at best in the next while.
Money issues came up, had to drop out of college, so now I'm picking up my second career choice.
Huzzah for chefs!
I'm hoping to get aid to attend culinary arts school, but since I'm leaving school I don't know how often I'll have internet. I'll still drop in while I'm at friends who have internet, but my place doesn't have it because I have no money -_-
