Subject: Introduction.

The tall, armor-clad man gave a half-bow to the lord of the keep. He tilted his head upwards, eyes casting over the room for a brief moment. His gaze settled on Bart and he stepped forward, hand resting comfortably on the hilt of his bastard sword.

"Lord Bartholomew? I am Rodderick Hughes, a warrior of helm as the miss who just left told you. I've been sent here from the temple of Helmites to pledge my aid to the defense of this fort."

He paused, giving the boy at his side a glance, unsure of his presence.

"Whatever you need from a warrior of Helm isn't too much to ask."

With that, he clasped his hands behind his back and awaited the lords response.

The Helmite released the gnome's hand, returning it to his other behind his back. He listened to the gnome speak of the fort, learning where everything is should the need arise. He nodded along. Hearing the gnome mention recruits, and the need for them to be trained, Rodderick replied:

"I would see what my duties in this keep our before I agree to such, sir gnome. But If I am able, it would be wise to get these men into shape and in fighting condition."

His eyes wandered over to the untrained soldiers once more, the gnome recapturing his attention when he spoke of lord Bart.

"Lord Bart? Very well. I'll make way to visit him immediately, then. Thank you for your time." He turned, letting the gnome get back to his duties. He went to walk past Bronwyn, who looked to be a commoner in her garb. "Excuse me," he turned, arching a lofty brow at the woman who spoke. He waited for her to continue.

"Perhaps I can be of assistance to you." He turned around fully, hearing the intelligence in her voice, knowing full well her garb did not give her credit. "And how is that, miss?" She replied with a greeting and an offer to find Lord Bart. He pulled his lips taut in a half-hearted attempt at an appreciative smile.

"It would be most appreciated, miss Bronwyn. I am Rodderick Hughes, one of Helm's faithful warriors. Please, lead the way."

He followed the woman through the keep, his heavy armor grinding against its self, clanking and clacking in a rhythmic pattern. His foot steps clobbered the stone, the metallic sound ringing out as he went to introduce himself of the Lord of the estate and ask him about his duties, and things he could do to help.

The horse-men cast his sea-green eyes around the bailey, his horse coming to a stop with a gentle tug on its reigns. The glances and looks given to him by the commoners were ignored as his stony-face turned to the shrill bark of a gnome.

He narrowed his eyes in scrutinization of the anomaly. He recognized it as a gnome, but of what racial standing he hadn't a clue. Rodderick sighed through his nose is minor frustration as he gracefully dismounted his horse, carefully maneuvering his tower shield off of the creature. The warrior began stepping towards the authoritive gnome, stopping one of the commoners.

"Would it be too much to ask you to tie up my steed?" He asked, offering up a silver-piece casually. Assuming the commoner complies, he brushed past a few more of the rugged passer-byes, plated foot-steps resounding as he made his way over to the gnome. Having seen his previous form of acknowledgement, Rodderick dipped his head to Thomas.

"Good day, sir gnome." Looked down at Xaris. "Sirs." Casting his glance to the recruits. He drew in a deep breath, clasping his hands behind his back.

"I assume you are in charge here, sir... gnome." Furrowing his eyebrows, seeing his blue-vein streaked body. He nods to the gnome.

"I am a warrior of Helm, here to defend this place from Goblinoids and other treacherous creatures. Rodderick Hughes, at your service." Without a smile, or even a bit of mirth, he jutted out his gauntleted hand and plated arm for a handshake, quite surprised by the gnomes’ strength.

Yup. It's a tower shield. And if that wasn't bad enough I'll probably be using combat expertise a lot for ginormous AC.

Nothing's more cool than a narrow-minded guy with a strict moral code. Unf.

It's safe to say that I'm going to be using combat expertise most of the time. But, I need to read up on everything in your campaign as I failed to do so earlier. Thanks for the warm welcomes.

Just want to say hi. I'm a new member to the forums that my brother (Jozan) suggested that I join. I'm looking forward to getting involved, RPing and all that good stuff n' junk.

I've had experience Role-playing in PNP as well as on a couple Never winter nights 2 PW's. I must admit I'm better at role-playing in text, however.

Regardless, good to meet you peeps.
