Topic: Loaded Dice update
Subject: Yarp

Unfortunately there was a mix up with uploading and sending files on my end. >.<
Still, with three people it might be harder to coordinate, as we need scripts, then lines, then colors, then Backgrounds, and finally text boxes! Still, looks like I'm back to drawing it once more. =P

Congrats!

And I can't wait to see what your new artist can whip up for the comic. =)

Cool cool
To celebrate my tablet coming back (in for repairs AGAIN- Didn't fix it the first time) I might draw you up something. Still, it's good to see the comic continuing on! =D

Sorry about all of the commotion, but it's good to see you found someone to keep loaded dice alive!

Personally I don't think you need to push your self to fill anyones shoes- you should draw as you feel comfortable. Each artist has their own style and I know how hard it can be to try and recreate one your not used to.

You defiantly have teh talent though! Just need to figure out your little niche, that's all. =)

Side note: I have all of the 3D renders I was using for the player house BG's and I am willing to donate them to the comic, free use, no strings attached. They're just the angle shots from around a table showing a house that I desaturated and blurred behind each character depending on where they were sitting- and having them might made things easier. Up to you!

Hope to see things keep going, and once again, sorry!

Just figured if I got a good picture of my animals I could post them here so people can see the odd things I deal with daily... lol

First up: Uba!
Silly Iguana, you can't use my tablet! (The tablet is 2 feet wide, if you want a comparison on how big my girl is)

The next one is one of the clients kids holding Elvira. The kid is 10 years old, and Elvira is a whopping 9 feet, 70 lbs. A big girl to be sure!

I'll submit more as I take them.

Only one thing that bugs me... You shaded the inside of amy's mouth as though it were a lip, making her look like she has downsyndrom. lol

That aside, looks pretty good.

Infinite bag of dowels.
I know, it's lame when you hear it, but I play with a very odd group. That bag became the most useful, useless and stupid thing to ever grace one of my campaigns. The Thief was a bit mental and would give dowels to everyone he med as a gift- and I mean EVERYONE. As they walked he would just hand them out randomly in the street.

Now these were just 8 inch long, finger thick wooden dowels, so it confused people. Then he started to get paranoid that whenever they encountered any antagonist like characters- he feared they were after his dowel bag and nothing else. He would sleep with the thing, and protected it like a child. He would talk to it and even gave it a name- 'Simon'. Eventually he would treat the bag like another person, introducing 'Simon' to others as though he was another character in the party.

One of the funniest moments was when the thief was sneaking around a minotaur to activate a gate and suddenly the player shouts out 'QUIET SIMON, OR THEY'LL HEAR US!!!' in character. As Dm, I burst out laughing! It was a great in character moment that cost the party a smooth get away.

Then, next session it happened... Simon became real. The Player had sown a small bag, filled it with wooden dowels, and drew the same happy face on it that the character put on the in game bag. It was awesome and stupid all at the same time!

Eventually Simon got a crush on one of the other party members (Schizophrenic thief FTW) and the thief tried to court the player with the bag of dowels. This led to a lot of sexual innuendo about 'wood' and 'long rods'.

The party got sick of the bag (in character that is- the players loved it) and took it from him one night while he was asleep. The Thief went insane and looked everywhere for it. Eventually when no bag was found he grabbed the nearest bag like objected, hugged it and started rocking in the corner crying. Everywhere the party went he would call 'Simon! Simon! Here Simon! Where are you?!?'... This included during meetings with royalty, dungeon crawls and when everyone wanted to be quiet.

Deciding to give it back, the party decided to let one member 'find' Simon and bring him back, saying he got lost or something while 'walking' around. This was so the thief would respect/love/like that character and hopefully be more manageable and listen to them.

Ah... That bag. Damn those are good memories.

Releasing her Abra from his ball again, She lifted him onto her shoulders and looked at the annoyed trainer.

"It was a misunderstanding because of HIM!" She pointed an accusing finger at the Abra, who hid behind her head bashfully.

"We were at the pokemart and this guy saw some treats on the top shelf, and decided to make them his. Not only did he knock over everything in the process, but the shop didn't look kindly on attempted theft."

While technically true, Saja decided to leave the whole 'she planned the theft' part out of the story. It's not like she lied to the boy, she just excluded some facts.

Turning her head to try and glare at the Abra, she sighed in annoyance.
"Look- sorry about that. Thanks for getting me out of a jam though."

Upon hearing those words, Saja swung around to get her hands back in place and pulled herself up from under the branches.

Looking around cautiously before giving a sigh of relief, she looked at the other trainers.

"Thanks- That could have been bad."

Stopping for only a second to see what or who she had hit, Saja looked around in a hurry.

"Oh crap oh Crap oh crap! Tell them I started climbing up or something!"

Calling back her abra, She slid between some branches just under them and hooked her knees around one of the larger sections, anchoring herself by wedging her toes on another part of the trees. There she hung up-side down, holding on to her bag straps, hoping that the other trainers wouldn't give her position away...

Ok- here is teh current situation for those confused:

All of the players save for one are climbing up the branches, making their way towards to village. The other player is already in the village and was just caught trying to steal from a pokemart. Neither side has had contact with each other yet.

Hope that clears things up.
And as for the GM- I think everyone including myself is confused as to the roll you wish to take. You are saying that your waiting for people to make their moves, but at the same time that you want to narrate events. As such, players are unsure if/when they should post and how much they need to say.

Hope I didn't come off to harsh! XD

While the innocent tree top village goes about its daily life, a not so innocent pair visits the peaceful town...

Walking out of the pokecenter, Saja took a quick glance around for the nearest target, sometime small but well stocked, and something with an open exit. Normally in this situation the first target would be the ever ready pokemart, and once again the endless chain of supply stores didn't fail to disappoint.

As she approached the entrance, Saja pulled the Abra flopped about her shoulders into her arms and pointed him at the target.

"You know the drill Ensof, but lets go for some food this time."

Setting the Abra down Saja walked into the store and started to look around. Being just past lunch, everyone was either at home or working and so the store lay mostly barren, save for a single middle aged shop keep. Taking her time in the Pokeball isle, Saja tilted her head towards the keep and started a conversation.

"You know, for a town built in a giant canopy, you sure are lacking 'natural' alternatives to pokeballs. What gives? Where are the Apricorns?"

With a slight chuckly, the store clerk walked over to her and she began to ask fluff questions about the stock of pokeballs the store had. It was now that the abra snuck off behind the counter and began to work. Looking around the stocks he found some snack packs and carefully grabbed them off the lower shelves, making sure that Saja had the man's undevided attention. After filling each paw with the small packages, he started to look for the best place to teleport out of the store... But then he saw them.

POKETREATS. SWEET, DELICIOUS, FRUITY FLAVORED POKETREATS.

The Abra looked into each of his hands, noting them to be full before dropping a fist full of goodies. Up there, way on the top racks, sat the crown jewel of pokemart stock- and Ensof was ready to pluck it from the lofty perch. Or so he though... Sadly, Abra's are only 2 feet tall, and the top rack happened to sit several feet beyond him.Contimplating this situation for a second, the greedy pokemon started to climb the counter... Then the till... Then the shelves... then...

*CRASH!*

The sound caused both Saja and the Pokemart clerk to turn their heads at the now toppled stack of treats. With the clerks face turned all Saja could do was place her palm upon her face in frustration.

"She looked at him then looked back"

This is an example of powerplaying- writing actions for characters that aren't your own. Common mistake, but thought you should know. =3
