Subject: wow what a perfect time to detatch from raiuo
(even though we all know he will pass the trials, as we need him for reacurring villan purposes. but what im trying to say is: lone, please take raiuo and make him the villan we planned on him being because im tired of him eating all of my poptarts and hes just a terrible roommate in general.)
*thunk*
Henry hit the floor with a muffled thud.
"oof" he said.
henry stood up and looked around the room.
in front of him was a door with elaborate carvings on it and covered in glowing yellow runes. too his left was a bronze brazier, lit and giving of an unnatural warmth. to his right was a wooden table and chair. behind him was a painting of a great battle, however the warriors looked rather cutesy, making it look silly, the painting looked watery suggesting it was an illusion. there was supposed to be some tests, however he didnt know if there was somebody who said go or something, so he decided to wait, maybe practice his staffs powers.
many fails later......
henry concentrated on an image of a rat in his mind, willling it to become real. It kind of did, he ended up with a wispy bit of smoke that ended in a rat head.
"eh, what kind of abomination is this?" henry asked himself
the mouse head squeaked and started wiggleing across the floor.
henry picked it up and tossed it at the painting to see if it would go through.
*bshzapt*
the mouse thing was desintegrated.
"ooookaaay, not going that way" henry said to himself with a nervous chuckle.

(Archipelago is a Webcomic with amazing characters and story, it brings fantasy together with sci-fi in a seamless blend of swords, spells, and ancient (yet futuristic) technology. i recomend it to everyone here. its always getting better in both artwork and storytelling. heck it even updates every other day)
(this story may contain spoilers so read with caution.if youre confused about anything read the comic it may clear things up a bit.if it doesnt pm me.)
I woke to a bright light shining in my eyes. "nng, turn it off im awake" i moaned sheilding my eyes "oh, its the sun....". i jumped to my feet as the information sank in "the sun!" i shouted quickly looking around, i was on a boat, a Junk by the looks of it and a small one at that, the air smelled of sea and i could hear the loud creaking of the boat and the soft splashing of the waves suggesting calm waters. on the deck there was a Velociraptor-like creature, i knew it was a Seranith, yet i dont remember where i heard about them or if ive ever seen one before, it had brown fur with tan spots, it looked female but i wasnt entirely sure. there was another creature on the deck as well, a half-beastman of the avian variety, he had snow white feathers and hair, he was rather short and wirey, both him and the Seramith were eather unconsious or in a deep sleep.

Henry saw pheo hit a barrier in front of the portal causing him to drop his passengers. henry shook his head "figured it wouldnt be that easy" he said before continuing on.

ok emersion aside i just thought up a great freeform game thanks to pyrobooms persona comment on storytellers intro page and if you havent already figured it out heres what its about. the players and I (or rather what we are here at the inn) are gonna take a trip to Audalis, maybe to save some people, maybe ravage a town for gold and valubles, but most likely we will just run amuk being silly and playing tricks on the occasional adventurer, its a free form so i have no idea what will happen. if you dont have a "rdinn persona" you should probably make one before asking to play. And NO crazy dimension time crisises!

of our characters (except revelan) have had a life of solitude or disipline causing them to perhaps be a bit cautious and untrusting. we may not be the most heroic looking people, but im sure we can get the job done. besides theres so many possible hideing places in a room full of crates and barrels.

(normally yes but im pretty sure i explaned there was a little bit of funkyness when henry went through)
"i wouldnt be able to explain it if i wanted to" said Henry then after a bit of a pause"even if i could your head would probly explode anyway"
he looked at the orb in his hand 'cant just go around carrying it like this' he thought then a pole shot out of it, turning it into a staff and startleing henry.
"well i guess that works" said henry to nobody in particular and then to Allen "we should probly try to get to that portal before it closes, about two and a half days before it closes i think, and it should only take us two days on foot to get there, if theres not too many obstacles and nothing else goes in or comes through the portal, we should have just enough time to get out of here."
then starting to go towards the portal henry said "come on, we have no time to waste."

i suppose for me, knowing where the soft parts are, how far parts are supposed to bend, the use of unconventional weapons such as chairs and silverware, the use of the environment, and various escape techniques such as useing the back of your head and useing your captor as a sheild, fighting dirty doesnt hurt eather crotch kicks and throught jabs.

good thing i dont plan on drinking any alchahol ever, and im not some hard head, i dont start fighting just because i dont like something, there has to be an obvious intention to do me harm, because that means someone wants me out of the picture, or wants something i have, and i dont take that kindly.
a slap on that back could be taken the wrong way yes, and i understand the meaning of your story, and my bad mood this morning may have made me seem like an aggressive guy that freaks out on anyone who looks at me the wrong way. while i fight in such a way that seem unorthadox, im not one to let anger control me anymore than i would let another person control me, because while both can influence my thoughts and actions, neather can dictate what i do.
