March 10th, Day 4 – Monday, Time is 8:30 PM PST - Mid-City the Great Roll Hibachi Kitchen, Heywood, Night City.

From where she stands with her feet a shoulder’s breadth apart ready to move, her trench coat hanging against her thighs, her hands clasped in front of her, yet close to her MP2020, The female nomad watches the room and people around her. The two women by this Mugsy Devil’s side, jesus christ was this chink big, damn nears as big as Casino, were clearly his bodyguards. However their positioning was such as to hide most of their bodies definations making it difficult for Elizabeth to tell what kind of dangerous toys thw two were carrying. The womens' suitcoats were a little loose, somewhat like her own trenchcoat, easily concealing possible shoulder holsters for handguns or small submachine guns.

They were both older than Echo, she could tell and including Mugsy all three of the Chinese had stylish lines on their faces indicative of cyberwear enhancements such as optics, audio, and potentially more. Not with standing all the tech, to be older in this industry deserved respect. However it was obivious that not only did Mugsy relay on the two females he also relaid in a over umbundurance of tech. Camaries were everywhere in the room one in one corner near the ceiling a second kitty-corner from it. These were obvious and no attempt had been made to hide them and Echo could only wonder what type of camaras or weapon tech was unseen within the room’s walls.

Whatever this place was it was clear, with the number of Tong boys outside this was no crab shack. For now she would play her part and hope quietly Charlie did not fuck up whatever he had to do. If he did odds of the two of them getting out was very, very low.

March 13th, Day 7 – Thursday, Time is 5:30 PM PST– Mid-City,Heywood, Mid-City,The Black Piranha Bar & Grill,

As the plates arrived she smiled up at the waitress and thanked her. Seeing how Casino dove into his food after first saying he was not hungry she knew she had been correct that getting a good smelling in plate in front of him would do the trick. After all besides sex, food was a way to a mam’s heart. A knee touching her’s made her look at him and smile ~Yep he owed her one~

As Echo took her place next to Casino at the table her mind was clearly in another place. Though she had called Luke at first about a player, which had quickly become a moot point, it was his reply that bothered her.

~Got a few. Sitting alone on a scouting mission for a few. What’s up?~

Why was he on a scout mission by himself? She had always thought teams were made of two people.

“And you, miss? What would you like? The waitress closes proximity, her words bringing Echo back to the here and now. A low growl in her stomach reminding her of not yet having eaten for the day.

“Bring me one of your enchilada plates and a glass of soda. Did he order anything?” She points to Casino.

“No ma’am, just water.”

“Put a second plate on my tab for him.”

Hearing that the big solo’s eyes turned to her in a questioning way, but she just smiled really saying nothing with words but everything with her eyes. Though they had still only known each other a few days, in this line of work sometimes a few days are a lifetime and the young Nomad is not about to let the big solo ignore his body’s needs.

With that, the waitress moves on from her and she decides to worry about Luke later and listen to the conversation.

Echo sat quietly, Casino leaning against her on the couch, her arm draped gently over him, and thought of her current situation. Having already told Charlie what she wanted during their trip to meet the Triad, she had no need to repeat herself. Looking around the medium sized apartment she just did not feel totally at home here. Though Charlie had offered his apartment for the group to use as long as needed she needed her own space, yet however where that might be and still be close to the group was a big question. The enclave itself was Edgerunner, she was Rolling State. However even though she was Rolling State her presence was not welcomed at any of their enclaves at the moment.

Looking down at the big hulk of wounded metal and flesh leaning against her, almost asleep, for some crazy reason he felt right. She wanted to try with this hardened man to see if he was what she hopped he be but to do that they would need a place of their own and maybe he could find them a place here in the this enclave itself.

"Hey Pal... did I get out of this scrape with any gig money... or just with my life?"

This from Vegas seated across the room, causing Casino to sit up.

“Sh*t,” the other wounded man declares his face flushing with immediate embarrassment, wincing a little as he sits up from a reclining position on the couch. “I’d forgotten, choom. I’ll transfer the eddies pronto.” He fishes out his new agent and works the transaction.

Waiting for a moment to let him transfer the Frank Sinatra lookalike’s share of the run credits, she stopped him from leaning against her.

“Hey can we talk?”……..

Will we, whoever bought items through Charlie, be getting them before we head out on these jobs? I know I wanted that pistol rig and did not Tann and Keeper want some items?

Once back at Charlie’s apt Echo had to exercise the most restrant she had, had to in quite sometime not to thropw herself into Casino’s arms. Though she was pretty sure the rest of the group knew that she and the large edgerunner had a thing for one another being blatent about it it served no purpose.

As she first listened to Casino tell his tale, then Vegas tell his, it was clear to her that Vegas’s job had the best chance of quick money then Casino’s.

“Well to me it seems Casino’s job is a long haul affair lots of leg work. However if we are thinking fast cash Vegas’s ‘job’ seems our best bet as he already has a starting point with that old microdisk he found. Choice of course is up to us all but I vote to expand more time, right now, tracking Vegas’s leads.”

Brom I have to also ask what did happen with Charlie and I at the Tong meet? How was that resolved?

So,” the pretty young woman begins nonchalantly, “where we headed?”

"To the bad side of town," Charlie looks out the window into the rainy cityscape for a bit. "Um, we’ll head toward the river, then make a right and follow the road for a bit, then I'll get my bearings and let you know which way from that point. Is that okay?"

“Sure”

A she started the engine and pulled out of the garage the Nomad could tell

Charlie was obviously a bit distracted by something. What, exactly, she can only guess since the fixer was being as mysterious as ever. Echo knew the meeting was still hours away yet Charlie wanted to head out already. Maybe he doesn’t realize what time it was and how much time they have to kill before this meeting takes place. Maybe he does and he wants to scout the meet location. There’s still time and a lot of information that she did not have from the man and that was something she did not like at all. Surprisiningly Charlie actually gave her a little more information as to why this meeting was more important to the fixer then the rescue of Vegas.

"Gotta pay some respect for things getting out of hand.” Charlie further explains, though to Echo he still seems a bit distracted. “Thanks for riding along. I really don't know what to expect but I'm sure that they will want something for operating on their turf."

“OK Charlie time to open up if your not sure what to expect I need to know everything. Who are we meeting and what things are out of hand. Your making it sound like this could turn hostile real quick.

Pulling the truck over into a parking lot the nomad turned to the fixer.

“Ok last chance Charlie, tell me everything about this meeting, or you go alone, and I catch transist to the Temecula Heights compound and join up with Ghlaln”

Pulling the truck back onto the highway though still feeling concerned what would happen at this meet she still felt much more relaxed knowing what she and Charlie faced. But first a little gear request.

“Ok Charlie gonna need some upgrades,, first I need a SmartPlate link for my pistol, second due to my Nanotech I ain’t got no smart link so I’m gonna need a pair of Midnight Arms Smart gloves I realize the time frame but the sooner you can get them the better.”

With that said she concentrated on her driving and Charlie’s directions.

Echo sat quietly thinking to herself and hoping Casino would be ok. Going alone to meet the Yakuza was ballsy, but the big Solo was no slouch. As she watched Ghlahn, Fixer and Blossom walk out the door of the apt, she found herself alone with Charlie.

“So where we headed?”

So any thoughts? I'm a total newb to Cyberpunk and have absolutely no time to read the books, so any help will leave me greatfull.

Overhearing Ghlahn’s idea to take what was left the team in the apartment, herself and Fixer, to the Temecula Heights, Echo realized that would leave Charlie to go alone to this meeting with these mystry people as he had not, as far as the nomad could remember, told anyone on the team who they were. With two new members to be picked up on the way to the Temecula Heights that would leave four team on site.

“Charlie you need back-up at this meet of yours?”

I may have some trouble posting on a regular basis for a few weeks untill the matter of school reopenings has been decided. I will endeavor to get posts up but they may not be my best. My apologies.

Nomad I'm going to have to drop out of the game. With school reopenings so much in doubt and having 3 out of 4 daughters for the moment home learning I do not have time for two games. I hate to do this and hope maybe I can rejoin at a later date. Apologies also to everyone.

As they moved towards Charlie’s residence, Echo allowed herself to relax. For the first time Charlie and arrived to help the group he and Casino seemed to be actuallt attempting to get along. She could only hope that would gain momentuim and the two would become a team. As they arrived she could not but become alert once more at the fact they were about to enter a chinese barrow and how the people treated Charlie.

WTH had Charlie going on here? This was something to ask him at a later time once everyone was settled. In the apt she found herself side by side with Casino on the couch and it was all she could do to keep the big solo upright as tired as he clearly was. In some ways she was glad she needed very little sleep she could keep an eye on Casino and all the others in times when exhaustion was high.

Then the hope of relaxtion was gone with a single phone call.

“Hello?

“The guy who saved Mr. Akagi’s life at the hospital. Who is this?”

The a loud click could be heard in the room as they hung up

“So... don’t keep us all in suspense?... who was it an what did they say?” Queried Charlie to Casino.

“Seems it was Akagi’s son, Vin Akagi, he wants to meet today, said he’d send a time and place in a few moments”

Seconds, a minute, maybe two, and the sound of a text message arriving on the phone

Just as promised the agent still in Casino’s hand received a message detailing a meet location and time. 19:00 hours, tonight at the The Eastern Courtyard, High City, Night City Integrate. A little research reveals The Eastern Courtyard to be a very high-end. Japanese restaurant with a strict dress code and—according to the theories Blossom is able to dig up—a Yakuza front. A brief exchange of messages allows Casino to bring two others with him. Their names will be on the guest list at the door. Placing the agent back in his duster he turns to the others.

“I have no idea whose with me tonight, all I know is I need a shower and someone to iron out my suit Charlie”

With Charlie off to his other duties, the big solo heads to the shower. Passing her by she easyale understands the look he gives her.

Standing she holds him up to whisper in his ear.

“Not here, not now, but soon, promise”

Sitting back down she spins her head into many a different place.

Well though I can see that CTP and Keeper do have their points on this, it seems to me that Tann’s meta-gaming was meant to avoid the drama that his past in game posts have caused. Could that not be considered good meta-gaming in it’s intent? Is that not what a games Q/A is for? Yet it seems to have caused the drama he hoped to avoid as your looking at his words, not his reasoning for those words, to stop future game play problems. Or am I totally lost here? At least this has happened in the Q/A and not the game.

I'm the newest player and have only been in combat playing Echo once. Other then driving the car in that combat has Charlie actually been in combat with the group? I agree with Keeper, that Casino could be too close to this, however never having been with Charlie in a fight side by side she would go with Casino as at least the guy to call the shots in a firefight as its a good bet Charlie won't be in the thick of said fight, more like helping from the fringes as he did with thier escape the last fight.

Though she had been out front of the party with Hornet next to her and Steel behind to her rear covering both, she had been unable to find any sign of a trail or path to possibly lead them to the missing boys. Turning to Hornet she received a confirmation that he to had found no sigh of of the boys at all, Turning to Soledad and the rest.

“Sorry Sole nothing at all to push us forward. If the Goblins did indeed take them they carried them and even with the boys, they themselves where light on weight. What next? Camp or return to town?”

As Blossom turned to go, Echo reached out.

“Thank you, I owe you, after this is over if you need a favor I’ll be there”

Letting the net tech move to the van she turned to go back into the bar only to see Ghlahn had already done so. Within only minutes he came out followed by the rest. As she watched Casino move towards her she could see how tired he really looked.

“Thank you, we really needed her and I know you two are not friendly tribe wise but we needed Ghlahn also. I don’t know what the two of you said to her but somehow you kept her here to help so I need to keep my fat mouth shut.” Then the big solo leaned in to kiss her, catching her by surprise, yet she found herself melting into the deep but brief kiss.

Then not saying a word both moved towards the van, Echo once more in the driver’s seat. Turning to Charlie next to her.

“Okay where to now?”

Silver always liked coming to a new town, new city, a country side hamlet, because there was always a good chance there would be something nice to steal. She was a rogue, she knew it, the the open locks, find secret doors, steal whatever was inside type, yet she still had her martial talents to fall back on. Though no where near her partner Steel, I mean come on he’s a freaking Warfoged, she was still much faster then him. However as they reached the tavern he beat her inside to sit with his back to the wall. Gliding into the seat next to him she ordered an ale and a pot full off chicken legs. Just giving the order to the tavern wench made her stomach growl causing Steel to look at her, his head tilted side ways.

“What I’m hungry, I can’t help it you don’t need to eat. I like to eat, so keep watch”

As the big man, creature? No he was a man if not flesh and blood, of metal looked away Silver could see he had a smile on his face, yeah he was a good person to have beside you in a fight but she had to admit he was also a friend. As she eat she listened catching various stories, tales and the normal barroom BS you hear in any bar anywhere and caught that two kids, twin boys were missing. ~Hmmm wonder how much the parents would pay to get them back. As she continued she watched as the rest of the group found a place with her and Steel or wondered about the bar.

She watched as Dok made his way talking to people gaining their stories and if she knew the Dwarf Cleric, as much information on the two lost boys. Whatever came of his info gathering she was sure Soledad would chose the best way to make the most money. Looking back to Steel she could see he had taken her suggestion to heart as no one moved inside the bar he did not see,

For now wait and watch and thanks to her Rogue skills she was quite good at waiting........................
