Subject: Mad dash

It took the frantic Pardoner Amastus much too long for his liking to find his way around the maze which made up Far Reach's ever-meandering streets. Out of breath and nearly out of mind, he stumbled into the motel from which he came and asked the keeper between wheezes, "Has a young lady checked in of recent?"

((OOC: Salvator, shall I just leave the keep's convo up to you, or shall I improvise? Just PM me for your response))

Haven't met yet, Kaelyn, but I'm just another new player online. Welcome back!

Perhaps one day we can role-play together at some point, say.

With a sickening vomiting sound, it upchucks a literarily-inclined chimp with a bad sense of humour and a childish tendency for practical jokes.

I spoon-feed the vending machine Captain Kirk, a swimming pool, and a grimy Uncle John's Bathroom Reader.

Subject: The Black Boar-

The fresh air of the morning was only just enough to rouse the Pardoner out of his groggy sleep-deprived state. As he walked, he looked about the stone streets of Far Reach for a proper place to eat- despite not even being terribly hungry. At some point, after wandering the city for half an hour, he was finally able to locate the proper place.

"The Black Boar... this tavern shall provide me with the peace I need to contemplate-" He paused as his hand brushed against the letter in his robe. "-and to read this letter."

Soon enough, he was seated with prayer at a small wooden table with a meagre breakfast of bread and light wine before him. When the bread was gone and the glass half empty, he took the letter from his cloak and tore it open with a shaking hand. Inside it read:

---
Mr. Amastus,
Most humble greetings from my master, and from me. We thought it important that you know we have been observing you since you entered the city, and are pleased with your want to help those in need in their struggle against the bastard king.
As supporters of the Forsworn ourselves, we thought we might point you in the direction where you might best serve.
But two rooms over from you, a young woman is preparing to flee Far Reach. And by our hand, she will reach the Forsworn. We want you to accompany her, protect her, and serve her until such time as you reach them.
The Silver Eel will be watching...
---

A jolt of shock and surprise raced through his body. His eyes passed over the letter again, and once more.

"Wha- go to Forsworn? ME?" He stammered. "I- I'm not an- I'm no adventurer! Why... I'll be killed the minute I step out there!" A long pause initiated as the horrified cleric stopped to catch his breath. "I came here to be a healer!"

With those words, he froze completely. A sudden realization overtook him solidly- someone was waiting for him and needed his help. He remembered the vital oath of the Silver Qlergy:

A Person in Need, Regardless Their Stature, is Your Top Priority as a God-Given Right.

Now, he had a top priority assigned directly to his presence. By the power of his religion and his honour as a cleric, there was no way he could back down. With this revelation seared across his mind, he paid for his meal and dashed outside the tavern, flying back to the motel as fast as his legs could carry him. Perhaps he could intercept the young miss if it wasn't too late-!

What's really great about this piece is that it totally fits.

If you somehow find the talent and the commitment in somebody who is willing to perform this, or these if there are more, you'd have a real market in the gaming world.
I'd buy it!

Annakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala, or perhaps Captain Kirk and Lt. Uhura?

Barbie and Ken is a cliche... Bonnie and Clyde, John Lennon and Yoko Ono... those are the best I can think of for now!

Don't feel bad for your absence, real life can be quite imposing at times! Quite honestly, I think it's very kind of you in light of your fiancée's strife to be helping him like this! You are a selfless, generous person, and we on the inn very much admire that in you.

Take as long as you need dear; we will always be waiting patiently with open arms!

Kamina, how many points are we enabled to use for the creation of our characters? The general value in the book is 6, but if you have something else in mind that would be great.

This is looking just so good. I can't wait to bring in Sessysk, who will be played like a tank. She's pretty rough all over with a hot temper- pretty much average trandoshan style.

Keep up the awesome work so far, and stay alive!

Subject: What the...

There wasn't very much to do in the little motel for the Pardoner beyond planning his activities in the morrow, grabbing a bite to eat, and performing his ritual prayers before supper and slumber. In the midst of a once-peaceful night, however, an ugly feeling began to churn in his gut. Something wasn't right... was he being watched? Amastus turned over restlessly and put his hands before his face, garnering the willpower to flee if necessary. Then, slowly and apprehensively, he opened his eyes.

Before him on the other pillow sat a small, sealed envelope. His name and title was scrawled beneath the seal, itself a glimmering silver.

"By the gods... who left this with me?" Part of him was curious in regard to its contents. The larger part, however, instilled anxiety and caused him to fret in worry. He could very well be in danger.

After a moment of troubled thought, he decided to read it in the morning in a place where he could receive some information. Nothing could be done for now.

Hours later, and after a terrible night of discomfort, Pardoner Amastus headed out of the motel and into the town for breakfast and answers. Perhaps there was a tavern somewhere...

Almost triumphant, out pops from the vending machine a hyperactive speed-dial mechanism attached to shoe-based piece of reinforced string, which begins searching aimlessly for an article of abandoned footwear.

I force the vending machine to consume a sewer, a soap bubble, and Gandalf the Grey.

Topic: Celebrate Life
Subject: O, frail is the creature that is life.

I feel it an important thing to do to just wake up each day and remind myself of how lucky I am. I believe myself- know myself- to be the most fortunate person I know. I haven't lost anybody dear to me... I live in a safe house and love my parents and friends dearly; and perhaps that will not last forever.

If that is to be the case, I guess all I can do is rely on the virtue of my memories, ere I shall encase them in gold. One cannot experience loss until they have something to lose.

I suppose it's not unfair to say that loss is an important part of life; it reminds us what it is like to be human, and we remember how fragile it all is. Perhaps we truly love who or what it was the most we ever have once it has been lost.

Wise words, madam... wise words...

Subject: Exploring the City

Such horrible the conditions are in this city, the Pardoner mused to himself. I'd always heard of Far Reach's civilian condition, but I'd never expected it to be this bad. Prayer for these people will be my first matter of importance before supper-time.
He strolled away from the notice board in the town square and sighed; the plethora of wanted posters and problems didn't add many merits to the city.

Oh, well, he thought. At least I will have plenty of luck making a living here.

The healer continued on his way about the city. Presently, he happened upon a local motel. It seemed well-kept, and looked comfortable as far as motels tend to go; perhaps it was vacant. He stepped inside and made his way to the front desk. It took a while before the keep noticed him.

"Hello, my good man. May I ask about a room for the night?"

((OOC: Salvator, has Wraclaw's character elapsed a day in time so far? I am assuming he has, so Amastus may just retire for the night {assuming this motel is vacant }))
