Dunno ._. Maybe something happened to the file on the site's end?

As I don't believe we have a healer, *if* the battle persists and an unconscious character remains unaided for too long--with some bad luck on throws--that's a death. If they are pulled away or the battle ends soon, we'll presumably be relying on Medicine checks to stabilize them--and that's no easy feat so likely a high DC.
Just a reminder that one should never become confident at low levels

If you want a reason for me to join early, perhaps the ol' prisoner deal, but in hearing the commotion Maren could have possibly decided it was time to stir up some trouble of his own? He's not much of a gung-ho hit things type, but such an opportunity would be welcome in his eyes

Forgive me for the slip up, but the All Eyes on You feature is from the FarTraveler background, not the Phoenix Origin

Was that a special case or do all nat 20s in your run deal max damage? Gotta know these things if I plan to manage my character well, since I use traditional crits usually.

that not all groups use Unerthed Arcana bits. The Phoenix background Sorcerer is from an Unearthed Arcana release, and said features do stem from it--as well as the Ignite action. I can absolutely rework this to a base Origin, and I'll get to de-leveling him and reallocating spells immediately. As I'll be showing up after the current battle, however, I believe the XP from it will bump the party to level 2. As for the Far Traveler background, I'm unsure. It's one we frequently use in my irl campaigns as people often go for the type of character it applies to and my DM is typically a major rules-man. Possibly from a later release after the PHB? I'll look into it.

Turns out I've just got an odd case of swelling in two of my lesser-known lymph nodes. Worries eased, I'll be available for whenever Maren pops up

One of my players brought this site to my attention, and I've used it to make maps for 3 different settings so far. Very smooth tool use and interface, and easy to fiddle with. inkarnate.com

Highly recommended for GMs and writers with less-than-showcase-worthy drawing skills.

non-DM ruling would personally be to make the swap your bonus action. Though, once again, obviously I'm not the rulemaker here :p

On the matter of your damage roll, isn't the dexterity mod added to bow damage?

I may disappear for an unknown amount of time--but I will be able to give warning if so. On Monday, I'll be getting a growth behind my ear looked at. I don't know how serious it is yet, but a surgery--or god forbid, further care due to possible cancerous cells--may be necessary to remove it. Hoping it's something benign, considering my sister had a similar harmless cyst when she was a baby.

mostly just players fumbling for something to call themselves and the potential of later in-character recognition. Nothing to rush, just thought I'd send out a line and see.

I've got a bit of a difficult group to make cohesive here. They're not all exactly willingly carrying out this task. There are two faithful of Tal'Ona driving them toward the goal quite forcibly... ah well, I'm sure something will come up later once they stop --killing each other-- so much. Once again, thanks all for your assistance.

A strangely normal party for me. I actually haven't gotten around to playing a human till now, as I'm a bit of a half elf lover... Okay slightly more than a bit. Looking forward to it

Subject: If it's not too much trouble,

Before I get into the campaign, could I perhaps get physical descriptions of Dane and Pavel? Good Mr. Krosi is a judgmental man, including appearances, so it may affect his behavior toward them. Obviously, I won't be a drama-starter for the sake of my character being pompous, but just general mannerisms.

I like the Chess stuff, but it kinda bugs me as an in-character thing. The party wouldn't readily make a chess joke out of their group name, as the name CHessboard is out of character... Well, either way, thank y'all for your assistance

Topic: Looking for Suggestions on a Party Name
Subject: Looking for Suggestions on a Party Name

Basically, I'm running a campaign called Chessboard over Discord in a full-custom setting. The name is derived from the fact that the party are basically not only pieces moved around by the players, but also the gods of the setting--most of whom are very active and have no limitation on entering the material plane in a host body.
The PCs are currently on a task from the Church of Tal'Ona, goddess of shadows and such. (Yes, I am belatedly aware an established setting has their own Talona) Their task being to stop a collection of Exitian cultists (Followers of the god of destruction and the sun) from digging up whatever artifact they seem to have found. It's very hush hush and is only known to the religious bases of three other gods. No government involvement.
Now the issue; I can't think of a party name that denotes the characters rather than the players. Something that the characters themselves would come up with or earn.
Any suggestions?

Certainly makes sense to me. While I'm 80% certain it may have been dropped in 5e, I'm going to bring that up to my irl DM.

I took care of the rework. Ended up using Kasharit as a base and swapping his race and personality, so as to keep the play-style. The link from my previous post should lead to it.
