'Fuck,' Guardian cursed as Cipher failed to awaken. 'I know what I need, but I don't have it! Shit!'

He hated being unable to save those in his care. It made him feel so helpless and filled him with such guilt-even if there wasn't anything he could have done.

'Sorry if this is a bad time, Charlie...,' he muttered as he pulled out his agent and called him. ((OOC: I don't know if Charlie picks up or wether it goes to voicemail, but either way Guardian says this: )) 'Charlie, it's an emergency! Cipher's not come out of her NetRun and she's in a coma. I know what I need, but I don't have them. A ventilator and plenty of glucose antibiotics. Sorry if this is a bad time, but this is literally a matter of life or death.'

Subject: Thäoran's Mishap

Nomad, is Thäoran's bowstring STILL stuck in the branch after the arrow he attempted to shoot landed at his feet? Or did the string get loose and free on its own after the failed shot?

Subject: Seriously???

Thäoran muttered an elvish curse under his breath, both frustrated and embarrassed by his blunder. He made a quick decision: he returned his bow to its tube for now and switched targets from the goblin ensnared in the web to the closest goblin to him that was free from the sticky trap.

Drawing his rapier once again, the elf thrust the blade swiftly towards his target, aiming for the creature's eye, hoping to skewer the foul fiend through the socket and into its brain.

Thäoran allowed a small triumphant smile to stretch his thin lips as the sun's rays had provided him with a satisfactory outcome-actually, better than he'd hoped because he merely hoped the goblin would be dazzled and stunned. Instead, the foul creature had staggered back into the stick mass of Soledad's web. Sheathing his rapier, the elf drew instead his yew bow from its tube and swiftly nocked an arrow, aiming for the goblin's right eye (the goblin who had stumbled into the web because of the sunlight reflecting off his sword). He drew back the bowstring in one fluid, smooth motion and released, the shaft flying toward its target...he hoped.

Subject: Actions per turn

Thäoran has already done his attack for this turn. When a character attacks, that's the end of their turn and they can't do anything else, correct? Just confirming.

Hornet has asked Thäoran to protect Soledad but he's already attacked this turn so his turn is over, right? Or can he still move over to Soledad after the attack he just did on the Gnoll?

Subject: Well, this is a fine mess we've gotten ourselves into...

Thäoran swiftly replaced his bow back in its pinewood tube as further ranged attacks would be useless for their enemies were uoon them. Drawing his father's rapier, the elf parried a blow from the attacking goblin. Luck, it seemed, was on Thäoran's side as the creature was still coughing and spluttering from the pungent smoke and therefore was unable to focus enough to properly aim its blows. The elf sidestepped and narrowly avoided getting his flesh rendered by the foul creature's blade. Thäoran knew he had to end this confrontation swiftly for if he was too slow to dispatch his enemy, he strongly suspected more would join the fray and he could very well be overwhelmed by sheer numbers.

With a determined growl, the elf thrust forward the silver blade, the elf-steel winking brightly in the warm rays of the beaming sun. ((OOC: I'm assuming the weather is bright and clear. If not, tell me. I'll edit my post))

A plan formed in his mind, then. Maybe he could further disorient the goblin by blinding it with the light reflecting off the surface of his blade? He hesitated briefly-if it failed, it could very well leave him exposed and vulnerable, which, no doubt, the goblin would take full advantage of.

He made up his mind: angling the blade, he refracted the sun's rays so, he hoped, they directly entered the creature's beady cruel little eyes.

Subject: The Last Laugh

Thäoran muttered a curse under his breath as he saw the wave of enemies rush out of the Vargolg. It seemed they kicked a hornet's nest! They were vastly outnumbered and a he felt a rush of panic wash over him, but he quickly supressed it. He had to remain calm and focussed otherwise he'd only make things more difficult for himself. A hungry, vicious snarl came from the wall of acrid smoke before the, swiftly followed by another and what emerged threatened to make him panic all over again: two slobbering, growling hyena-people rushed forward to meet them, eager to tear them limb from limb. The gnolls were covering the distance between them and the party at an alarmingly fast pace, as were the many goblins scrambling around the beasts' feet.

Thäoran heard Hornet's cry to fell the gnolls first, which the other elf hoped would scatter and cause the goblins to lose morale and flee upon seeing their strong fighters fall. Thäoran agreed that this was a good a plan as any, so he nocked an arrow and loosed it at the left gnoll from the elf's hiding place among the bushes, aiming for the beast's eye. He then swiftly ducked behind the bush for cover before any goblins looses a volley of arrows in retaliation.

If I choose to just disengage but don't choose to use action surge (that is, disengage AND attack in the same round), will I still have my bonus action bscause I didn't choose to attack?

Guardian's head snapped up, his concerned eyes flicking to the screen of his vital read-out machine and his brows lowered in worry as he beheld the numbers they displayed.

Hurrying over to Cypher, the MedTech gently lifted her from the sofa and lowered her onto the floor, then proceeded to carefully lie her on her side to prevent her from swallowing or choking on anything. He loosened the collar of her top and removed any jewellery from around her neck ((OOC: if she has any jewellery. I don't know.)). He took Cipher's top leg and gently bent it so that her hip and knee were at right angles to each other, then tilted her head back to keep her airways open. Hurrying to the kitchen, Guardian soaked several towels with cold water and placed two of them on Cipher's wrists and one on her brow to help cool her body temperature.

He then repeated the entire process with Blossom.

((Hope this is okay. Did the best I could with the info I found))

I'm still new to D&D haha. What bonus action, if any, has Thäoran got? Any that can help him disengage too? He's an elf. Aren't they naturally sneaky and quiet?

I vote for option 2: Forgo attack and use disengage to prevent attack opportunity and get out of the tunnel.

What say you, Keeper?

Our plan has literally gone up in smoke lol.

And yeah, I'm with Keeper. I think we should go back out of the cave and into clean air. I don't like the prospect of being poisoned and potentially losing conciousness and becoming goblin food haha.

Who's with me?

So, the goblins now know we're in the tunnel so does it really matter about the smoke hiding us? Maybe it would be better if Soledad used her prestigination spell (is that the right name?) to blow the smoke back outside to save us from potentially being poisoned? What do you guys think?

Er...I just looked at Guardian's supplies and everything he has is for treating open wounds. I do have 3 doses of Trauma-1 which worked on Cipher last time. Does Guardian have any other equipment on his character sheet?

These fiends are more cunning than I took them for.

So thought Thäoran as he watched the foul little goblins retreat further into the inky blackness of Vargolg's interior, thereby foiling the group's carefully laid plans. Muttering an elvish curse under his breath, he cast his sharp cat-like eyes about contemplating on his next course of action. He returned his pinewood bow to its laquered oak tube on his slender back, knowing that any more ranged attacks would be futile. His keen ears picked up his fellow elf's summons:

'Thäoran, draw your blade and follow me. Dancing Lights may give us advantage in the dark tunnel.'

With a sharp birdlike dip of his head in agreement, Thäoran drew the precious blade of his missing father from its elaborately carved elf-steel sheath, making sure his slender but strong hand had a firm and ready grip on the wire-wrapped hilt. With the signature stealthyness his race is known for, Thäoran followed the other elf as he made his way towards the gaping hole of the tunnel's mouth, reminiscent of, so Thäoran thought, the wide open maw of a savage beast. Quelling his uneasiness and apprehention of the unknown dangers lurking within, the elf drew alongside Hornet, hoping his fellow elf-friend would be correct in that Soledad's Dancing Lights spell would give them the edge they needed.

In Elvish, Thäran spoke softly to Hornet, 'my blade is yours.'

There seems to be enough smoke in the tunnel now, so maybe Soledad could switch to Dancing Lights to reveal any enemies in the cave now?

So, just another quick question, Nomad:

Does Thäoran have to keep making new arrows to replenish the ones he's shot?

And to answer your questions:
Thäoran will stand 35' back from the door, using the brush and/or trees for cover.
Thäoran will shoot as soon as a goblin gets trapped in the web.
I say we wait until the smoke has drawn any goblins (and whatever else may be lurking in there) out. A good 10 minutes or so should be sufficient, I think. Or maybe even less depending on how much smoke there is.

I've noticed I've been making Thäoran use a lot of arrows. Will he eventually run out? I'm just worried that I'll end up running out of them at a crucial moment. Or do we have an infinite amount?

Subject: A Decision is Made

Thäoran listened carefully to Hornet's plan and agreed that it was indeed the best course of action. Unknown dangers were lurking in the dark tunnels ahead and it would be folly to engage them in the gloom where their vision would not be as sharp. Better to lure them out into the light and confront them here. Also, the tunnels would likely restrict their manuvorability (sorry for my poor spelling haha) so combating them out in the open where they could move freely without the confines of the rocky, narrow walls of the tunnels was also a wise choice. Bobbing his head forward in agreement to inform Hornet that he would assist in his plan, the elf drew his bow and swiftly nocked an arrow.

He then turned his attention to Soledad and, after she explained what she was going to do, said,

'A good plan, my friend. That will indeed make the task of felling those fiends much easier. I shall assist with my bow.'

Thäoran then took up position a few feet from the tunnel's entrance and raised his bow in anticipation of the enemies that would soon rush out to meet them...
