Thäoran, mind drifting back into his dispairing past, examined the rather filthy red material he held in his hands, his thoughts lingering on his father's words. Raising his head, the elf stepped closer to Dok and their goblin prisoner. Would today finally be the day he would get some clue as to his father's disappearance? He had to hope. Even a glimmer of hope. He needed to believe he was heading in the right direction.
'I, too, have a question I would like to pose to our little friend,' he said to Dok. 'If I may. What significance, if any, do these red caps of yours have? And did a group of you venture close to Tharündil, the elves' homeland in the South? What business did you have there?'

Subject: Grim but Necessary...
Thäoran's saphire cat-like eyes pierced through the gloom of the night, revealing to the elf the victory they had secured. A small smile of satisfaction tugged at the corner of his sculptured lips as he surveyed the scene. Never again will these maleficent fiends plague this fine lands, devouring all that came before them like so many gluttinous locusts.
Every one of these despicable wretches I fell by my bow or blade, I dedicate to my father, he thought solemnly. May we meet again soon. He swallowed past the painful knot that always tightened his throat whenever he thought of his absent father.
Hornet's voice cut through the crisp night air and into Thäoran's muddled thoughts, stirring the elf from his wayward mind. He must focus on the task at hand, lest he be caught unawares due to his distraction. He remembered how his father always used to berate him about it...
'Kill the others, I have two here as prisoners.' Hornet called.
Thäoran stepped from his refuge of the thick, gnarled fir and swiftly approached the slumbering goblins drawing his dagger as he went. With quick, fluid motions, the elf slit the throats of those they had no need for. Despite his loathing for these foul monsters, he still felt a little uncomfortable snuffing out their light. Elves were taught that all life is sacred, no matter how dark and twisted.
'The deed is done,' the elf announced to Hornet, green ((OOC: I imagine goblin blood to be green. Sorry if it's not!)) goblin blood slick on the gleaming blade of his hunting dagger. He'd have to clean the metal as soon as possible, lest the foul substance rust the elf-steel. Take care of your equipment and it will take care of you, was one of his father's favourite phrases. His words had proved true many times over.
Reaching into his pack, Thäoran produced a cleaning rag and proceeded to wipe the grime off his dagger, the green liquid now staining the cloth. When next they make camp near a source of water, he would have to hope he could wash out at least some of the blood from his rag. He sighed a little. So much to do. Well, life on the road was far from leisure-another thing his father enjoyed drumming into his son's head, and, again, had proven true.
When he was satisfied his blade was well polished, he scanned the surrounding area for Dok. Upon spotting the stout dwarf, he made his way over to his friend.
'Grim work,' the elf frowned.

Guardian furrowed his brow as Cipher glanced at her agent, wondering who the text was from but he wasn't going to pry. Yeah, they may be in the same team now but what's her business is her business. Instead he waited somewhat impatiently, wondering what was taking so long for the pick up to get them to the rest of the group. He was eager to reunite with Blossom and he hoped she felt the same way. They'd been apart for too long and, when they left each other it took him a long while to move on. Truth is, she'd always been in his thoughts and little everyday things reminded him of her. Her favourite song on the radio, seeing her favourite flower as he walked by the florist on his way to the hospital for work, her favourite café that he still frequented hoping to catch her there. Well, looks like he'll have to hold on a little while longer as he had an important job to do first and he wasn't about to screw it up. That would go down well with the rest of the team, proving how incompetent he was...Yeah, not gonna happen. Besides, he always did everything he could to save and protect those around him however he could. Cipher was putting her life in his hands and there was no way he was going to let her down by not living up to that trust.
His thoughts were interrupted as he felt slender fingers interlocking with his. Taken by surprise at the complete suddeness and intimacy of the contact, he blinked a few times, startled before he looked down and saw Cipher's hand holding his. She began to inch closer and as nice as this was, he was a little confused. First she blows him off, now she's getting close? He feels her warm breath on his cheek as she kisses him softly below his ear and he couldn't help but feel his cheeks flush. She was hot. Still in a state of confusion, he didn't respond until she whispered her plan quietly in his ear. Act like a couple? Now this is a plan he could do. Wrapping his strong arm around her waist and the other holding her hand, he allowed her to guide him further into the park, unable to fully prevent the grin that was stretching his lips.

I'm new to Cyberpunk, this will be the first time I've ever played it. So, what does Guardian have to do, exactly? I see that he has to monitor Cipher's vitals or something whilst she's jacked in. What are those vitals? I'm just unsure exactly what to do.

Subject: The Enemy is Afoot!
Thaöran narrowed his sapphire blue eyes as his hated enemy crested the hill. 'Goblins!' He heard his dwarven friend curse under his breath and the elf also shared in the Cleric's distaste of the loathsome creatures. Their tongues crudely sang some vile verses, but of what he could not say as he was unfamiliar with their rough language. He briefly considered casting Comprehend Languages, the incantation that would allow the elf to decipher what the goblins sang of, but then decided it was not especially important at this time so instead he took up a readier grip on his bow, aiming it directly at the goblin who was kicking the round object along the rocky road.
As Thaöran drew back the bowstring, a thought flashed through his mind: were these goblins the ones who had taken his father? If not, then did they have any information that may lead him down the right path of finally being reunited with him?
Well neither of those questions would be answered if he didn't detain at least one of the despicable fiends. So, checking that his aim was true, he released the string, the arrow flying swift and straight towards its target.
I must get answers...he thought as he watched the shaft heading towards the goblin's left knee. His intention was to wound it severely enough that it could not flee, but not enough so that he severed the link to its life. As much as he loathed these creatures and wished to put an end to every one across the realm, he still needed his answers so this was a catch, not a kill.
That could come later....he thought with satisfaction.

Thäoran had never required much sleep, so the elf was only dozing lightly when he felt himself being shaken awake by a rough hand. He snapped open his cat-like eyes and, instinctively, reached for the handle of his father's falchion at his side, swiftly unsheathing the blade and rolling to an upright, alert position in one smooth motion ready for any threat that may come their way. He soon discovered it was the Warforged Steele that had awoken him from his slumber and cast him an enquiring gaze. He didn't have to wait long for his curiosity to be sated as the Warforged informed them that an unknown group was heading their way.
With his keen elf hearing, Thäoran heard the merry songs and boisterous mirth that cut through the previously still night air. Treading lightly, lest he reveal his presence to the strangers, the elf warily and silently crept out of their stone shelter and behind the thick trunk of a fir tree ((OOC: they're near the mountains, so I assume there are fir trees about)), using the deep shadows of the night to conceal himself, letting them cloak him in their midnight black folds. He sheathed his falchion again and drew his bow from its buckskin tube and, with practised ease, nocked a swan fletched arrow, holding three more at the ready with the free fingers of his right hand, his index and middle fingers pulling the string of the bow taut. He inhaled deep of the crisp night air and willed himself to empty his mind (which proved unsurprisingly difficult due to the torrent of thoughts that had been raging in his mind like a churned up sea).
He was poised and ready...
