All your fellow Innmates raise a flagon of ale in toast to your special day!

Have a good one, my friend!

Subject: Book Corner-What are your favourite fantasy books?

As reading is one of my hobbies, I was wondering if my fellow Innmates also like to get lost in a good book. Fantasy is my favourite book genre: travelling across beautiful realms, meeting fantastic characters, casting spells and experiencing epic battles! After all, in the world of fantasy, anything is possible! My favourite fantasy book series is The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. It has everything you could want in s fantasy series: elves, dragons, dwarves, magic, battles, an evil tyrannical king who must be overthrown, and of course Dragon Riders! The events and emotions of the characters are beautifully described with a wonderful level of detail that you can easily picture in your mind. The characters themselves have in-depth and very unique personalities (especially Angela, the witch and herbalist. She's strange, but in a good way!) Another favourite of mine is the Pegasus series by Kate O'Hearn. Basically for the same reasons I like Inheritance Cycle. And also the Dragonsdale series by Salamanda Drake. So, over to you! What are your favourite fantasy novels/book series, Innmates?

Subject: RDI- Like One Big Family

This maybe a little random, lol, but I just wanted to say:

This site makes me feel like I'm a part of a big happy family. Cheesy, I know, but still! XD

The way we all speak to and support one another is great. I'm still sort of new(ish) to the RDI family, but already I feel a part of it. Everyone is so welcoming and, as I said, supportive that even newbies' awkwardness and nervousness is quickly put at ease.

I actually found this site through chance (I was looking for an elf name generator for a character I was making and someone Googled fantasy name generators and this site came up in the results) and I'm real glad I did! So, maybe fate drew me to become a part of this family? I don't know lol. But whatever the reason, as I said I'm glad and happy to be a part of it!

Speacial shout out to TannTales, Odyson, Eol, Giddy and Brom!

Giddy for helping me get my feet wet on how things work around here and for showing me the ropes. Hey, man, what happened to Wheel of Time?

Eol and Brom for helping me out whenever I needed it and just being good for a nice chat.

TannTales for being a great DM and for his ability to get even someone as clueless as me that much more knowledgable about the vast, complex and amazing world of D&D!

Odyson for being a wizard at spells (yes, bad pun intended lol!) and explaining what my ranger's spells do in the Trilogy War Q/A.

But everyone I've spoken to here at the Inn has been great so thank you all!

There, that's my cheesy post lol! XD

Subject: Welcome, Innmate, to the Red Dragon Inn!

I recommend you sending a PM to TannTales. He has just restarted his RPG, The Trilogy War and he is a veteran DM who has been DMing for well over 15 years. He is also very welcoming and helpful to newcomers. I myself am a newcomer to D&D and he has been great at showing me the ropes.
However, I'm not sure if he is accepting anymore players to his game so as I said, PM him and explain your situation to him.

Hope you find your game!

I am very sorry to hear about your daughter's struggles. I hope the treatment is proving to be positive and working? I sincerely hope everything goes well for both you and your daughter and hope to see you back to your regular RDI schedule soon!

Lol, breebles!

I think you can sometimes tell if a person is a fake user of the site just by the username itself. Like the most recent one Tann posted on this topic. It's just a random collection of letters. I mean a username like that doesn't guarantee that the user is a fake but I think it's a possible contributing factor.

I noticed that the title to the WoT game thread says 'CLOSED'. Does this mean that the game isn't continuing anymore or that it's closed for accepting new players?
