How do we get the Baggins, Boffers and Tooks?

I posted a few days ago. Hopefully it is enough for people to move forward. Feel free to ask questions.

Okay, we are rapidly approach the two month mark since I posted this and I only have one character in. I understand RL but if we are going to do this, we need to move forward. 

So I want all characters in with backgrounds by October 25th. If you need assistance please let me know. If I do not have characters in by then, I will close this thread and move on to other projects.

Pops gingerly made his way into the airlock closing the opening behind him and turned to the opposite hatch; he never liked working outside of a ship but it come with the territory in research and development. He'd been responsible for quality and that meant sometimes investigating in the black just because it didn't act the same on the ground. After decompressing the small airlock Jonah opens the portal there need to be a seal to the Demeter so he applied the seal ring and activated the magnetic clamps to hold the crafts. He then located the hatch's access panel, opening the panel he found the scanner port and an axillary power input. Attaching a portable power supplier to hatch controls and the data pigtail he switched on the scanner and probed the programs. A familiar security protocol highlighted; a couple of key strokes to check for any triggers and an auto disarm command was activated. Pops then sent the command to open the hatch locks.

The doors move slightly and then stops. “Error 1742” lights up on the small display for the door mechanism.

“Well damn it.” Jonah said “Anyone know what an error 1742 is?”

Alex started to type it into the computer but Wyatt answered before he could finish, “Decompression Breach. Means the doors were opened from the bridge while the ship was pressurized. And then shut again.”

Jonah grunted in response and moved to the manual override.  It was an old turn wheel mechanism that would not work if the ship was pressurized but since it wasn’t, Jonah began to turn the wheel. The doors moved a bit more, then the wheel became too hard to move. Fenris came over to help and between the two of them, the door were finally opened.

Although in your suits, the wave of coldness could be felt from the dead ship and the life support heaters in the suits kicked in. beyond the doors was the small airlock and cargo bay of the Demeter. It was about 20 x 15 in dimensions with a steel grate floor. The door opposite to you, to get into the ship was closed and the emergency inner doors (a second set that closed only in a breach situation) were closed as well. There is nothing in the cargo bay except torn straps still hanging from where they were secured.

There are small flecks of something floating around. They are a grey silver colour and very thin, like paint flecks or film. Not a lot but enough that you notice them.

I need a complte character sheet from everyone and a complete background of the character as well. The backgorund should include what they did to be considered a hero and how they "died".

I do not want to get bogged down in tech discussions here. I am working on the assumption that the shuttle can make a seal using some sore of inflatable polymer and magnetic clamps. You will have to go through the shutlle hatch and the ship hatch but as you zeroed out the pressure, you can leave it open. You will habve no power to open the Demter hatch, but can use the shuttle power to get the door open or use the manual override.

The ship id dead except for a very small power signature. Spliting the prty is not a good idea in D&D but even in the Firefly series when they found a ship floating in the black, Mal split the party to get what was needed done.
