The door is more less dead centre of island. Exact positioning of characters upon landing is not really that necessary so go ahead and wing it

Just for the sake of who sees who, The order of landing of the island is:

Gramand
Mal
Wembley
Crow
Ody's C
Vesper's C

You all come ashore with a qtr mile of each other. Assume that you know each by name and sight.

So I am waiting on Ody and Vesper for final characters. But in the meantime, for those of you who have given me everything - here is what was found. I used the dice roller on the website to determine the rolls.

Gamard the Grim (Khord Cleric)

1. War Hammer
2. Quarter Staff
3. Club

FOUND: Quarterstaff

Wembley (Cidal Mage/thief)

1. Staff-sling
2. A backpack of food stuffs
3. Spellbook

FOUND: Spellbook (assumed wrapped in an oilskin or something to protect it)

Crow (Syl Ranger)

1. Comp long bow with arrows
2. 1 weeks worth of rations
3. Flint/Steel

FOUND: Comp Bow with 5 arrows

Malrinn (Human Swashbuckler)

1. Saber
2. Dagger
3. Heavy Crossbow

FOUND: Saber (Sailor’s often make the hilt’s hollow so weapons float)

Odie Bruin (Cidal, Loaven, Cleric)

1. Whip
2. Backpack of Food stuffs
3. Quarterstaff

FOUND: Backpack of assorted foodstuff (a couple loaves of hard bread, a wheel of cheese, a full wineskin of wine, some spices, and a small smoked ham, all wrapped for preservation on ship)

Subject: So we are back to cleric eh?

Clerics spells/prayers as done by me are open-ended. You do not have a set you memorize before, you will have x number you can cast and then pull from the list. I do not limit domains - that is a 1e throwback with me. If you need a cleric list, then I can email you one.

The deities in Audalis are laid out on the website. Lysora and Shinara are two of my favourites.

If you have a wisdom greater than 16 (I think) than you get two extra 1st level prayers. So at second level you will have 4 1st prayers to use over the course of a day.

You wash up in the afternoon. Due to the clouds and the clouds and the storm, you can't precisely say when.

It is early fall, just after the harvest.

The items I will do when I get everyone's character.

The debris and flotsam on the isle has been to the sea and is soaking wet. There is not enough natural wood growing on the isle to start a fire.

It was not suppose to end this way.

You were sailing from Bayris to Portua, Pardinal in search for a means to sustain your career as an adventurer and keep enough coin in your purse to stay fed. It was suppose to be a five day journey on a ship called the Minnow but after three days the weather took a turn for the worse, and this storm tossed the Minnow around like the proverbial fish it is named after. If not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Minnow would be lost.

And then a lightning bolt killed the crew and waves split the ship in half. The waves tossed the wreckage of the ship around and you cling for your life to the piece of lumber or barrel that is keeping you afloat. The rain falls in sheets, the wind blows like the end of days and you are cold to your very soul. Then, just as strength and hope was failing, your feet touched land under the water and you were washed ashore of a island – lucky to be alive.

At first glance the island is a disappointment. It is barren of all but rocks and short, wind-swept grass. There is no shelter, no edible plant life, and no wood for a fire. You are wet and hungry and a chill wind is blowing that promises to bring the storm back with it. Some pieces from the ship are coming ashore are other survivors. There are signs of other debris on the shore line, of other ships some long ago and others more recent. A longboat was tied to a rock nearby but the wind shattered it into splinters leaving a broken frame and frayed rope. Yet only the survivors of the Minnow are on this island.

But just as darkness falls, you discover at the center of the island a shallow depression with a stone door. The door is unlocked and when opened reveals a descending stone stairway. At its bottom is another door of an unfamiliar material.

No Gnomes! In my Audalis the Syls killed off all the Gnomes centuries ago and everyone agreed it was a good idea.

I hate gnomes

Subject: time and gear

Time? I am ready when you are but let's say November, first weekend, we will start, that gives us enough time to get characters sorted and written up.

The thing about the lack of gear - the reason I do this is to push the limits of the characters. Starting out, the need to survive helps forge a team. You will have to work together. You will have to think instead of attacking. But you need to trust me as a DM. I want to enjoy this as much as you do so chances are I am not stuffing a dragon in the first room (see Olan if you want that ). There will be stuff within, and some really good stuff. But instead of writing equipment and weapons down, you are going to earn them and that will make them all that more special to you. Which would you prefer to say:

"This Sword? I found it in the lost Tomb of Hamon-Rye, guarded by a legion of undead and a man with no heart. It was a hard fought battle but I left with the sword and this scar for my efforts."

or

"This Sword? Sal's Outfitters. !00 gp, on special."

You have shared a boat space for three days so you would have passing knowledge of each other. If you wish to be friends or from a party before, I am open to that.
