Thanks for the WB's! Naw, the cops didn't do anything, because I wasn't able to call them. LONG story. Had a "friend" (so I thought) staying here along with her 3 kids AND her bf! >.< Anyway, she told me I cldn't call the cops, 'cause she had a warrant for traffic tickets, and if I called she'd get arrested. So...I totally lost my lap top and my digital camera.

I had so much stuff on there...I can't tell you how much it sucked!

Oh well...Life happens.

So what's up with all of you???

Thanks for the heads up, but I am not Haila material. I'm sure he'll find someone to play her in no time.

Hey all. Just dropping in to see what all's happening around here since last I appeared.

My house got broken into and my lap top was stolen, along with my digital camera. The only two things of value in this place. Anyway, that's why I haven't been around in so long. I have a desk top computer now, so I can be around now.

Hope to hear back from you all soon.

Man, what a horrid avatar, LD. *many huggles* Good to see you're still around, even if it is only sporadically!

Hiya, Grugg! Awww, did you really think about me? You are such a sweetheart, I don't care what "they" say about you. hehe

And a hearty hello to you as well Lyskala! Thank you so much for the welcome! It is much appreciated.

Well, as to my "adventures" I'm not allowed to say.

I have been gone so long that I've been trying to think of a way to bring myself back for a little while now. What I mean is, I wanted to rejoin the ranks of the RDI, but didn't know how to jump back in there. (Though I've done it so often you'd think I were a pro by now) U know I've been part of this site since 2003? Wow, how time flies!

Anyway, I've gotten so caught up in my new business (working from home WOOT! Finally!!), and now I'm at a place where I can spare a some time for my favorite place ever! (That would be the RDI of course )

So anyway, Howdy, and *hugs to all*

I'm sorry i was not able to post on Wednesday. I haven't forgotten or disappeared again. Please just bare with me. I did get the entire game and Q/A threads copy/pasted so I am working through reading them. Unfortunately I have to get to work now...but when I get off I am going to definitely work on the post....I don't want to promise a post date again, but I am certainly going to try to have it up sometime this weekend.

YAY That's the perfect time for me to jump in and kick some butt. (Hopefully) hehe I love the fight scenes. I truly think Artanis is one of my favorite characters I've ever played. Her and the little farie(sp?) Jotara.

Hey, I am so sorry for my long absence from the game. Tomorrow I am going to bring my lap top to Mom's, I will copy paste the game to my word document, and then I will catch up on my reading, and prepare a post. I will have a post up by Wednesday. I hope that's ok?

It's been driving me crazy thinking about this game, wondering what's been going on and where it stands, and if Artanis is even still alive!

Ok, I missed a lot this past week or two

Anyway, I need to know if Artanis will be able to make it into the gate before it closes. if so, she will be making a dash for the gate right along with Aelistae, if not, I guess she'll still try.

But before I can post, I need to know one way or the other. And I am sorry it's been so long since I last posted.

Subject: Time's a tickin'!

I prefer fighting on my feet, personally, but it kinda makes sense to take the horses for time's sake. We really don't have time to go on foot, especially with all the time we are taking with discussing the situation. The longer we take to get going, the more time the enemy has to rally together.

So, horses or no, Artanis is ready to go..

I dunno, maybe once they get close to the next camp, they can get off the horses, who knows...I don't care one way or the other, I just wnt us to move out and kill the next group of gobos, and orcs.

Also, just for the record....(and provided the layout allows it) I think we should stick with what works, and surround the next camp and take them out like we did the last one.

Yea, That's kinda what I had gathered too G.

Which is why I wntd clarification on it.

So, I agree, not such a great idea. I liked the idea of jumping on our horses, galloping across the bridge Aelistae fixed, and taking out the camps as we pass them. Those are my thoughts on the subject, and so long as everyone agrees, that's what Artanis is gonna do. So consider her already mounted, armed and ready to go.

"Buuuuut, if we fortify at the bridge in front of the keep, we can take on the northern camp on this side of that bridge, while the northern camp on the most likely will go to the sound of the horn. That means we will only have one group to fight, keeping those reinforcements from getting to the horn's source."

I'm sorry, please forgive my lack of understanding here, but...I have no idea what that means.

Or that group (Which in reality we characters in the game, wouldn't know anything about) can work its way toward us, and we can work our way toward them, meeting up in the middle (probably surprising each other in the process)??

Subject: Onward!

Aelistae suggested the group attack the next group of goblins while they were still in a somewhat state of chaos, and not yet banded together with the rest of their forces.

“My only concern about that, is that the others can swarm us and box us in, much the same as the wolves had back in that clearing in the woods. Only we’d be facing much greater odds. That could be fatal to the lot of us. What say we take your former idea, Aelistae. Only instead of colapsing this bridge” Artanis motioned to the bridge Aelistae had magically mended, “we colapse that one leading from the keep. This may allow us to have only one side for them to attack us on, thus going back to your suggestion where they would not be able to swarm us, but rather have to cross the bridge. In this way we can take them out a few at a time as you had suggested. Xaris, Intella, and I can take them out bit by bit, fighting at the fore-front, those with the bow skill a bit further off , and the others can pick off any who may attempt to swim across, or who may possibly get past us three.” She looked at Aelistae, then at the rest of the group to hear what they thought.

“Whatever we are going to do, we must do it now.”

“Did you hear that? …That horn? I think the orcs and goblins have found some other prey.”

Artanis listened hard for the faintest of noises, but was unable to hear anything. “I don’t hear anything, Aelistae.” But she could see awareness written all over Aelistae's face, and on Intella's face as well.

“We can’t wait here any longer. We should go if only investigate what that sound was.”

Nodding her agreement, Artanis was ready to move out and see what was going on. Perhaps it was best to sneak up on the separate groups of goblins and orcs before they’d had the chance to rally together afterall.

That is an excellent question, Dwibius! *waits for an answer*

((In the meantime, and while waiting....))

Yay on the suggestion of a possible direction, but as far as the splitting up, I doubt that would be a good idea.

I did wonder at the possibility of possibly destroying the bridge leading from the keep though, that would kinda put us back at one bridge and only one side for them to attack us on, which was Aelistae's origional idea to begin with, which I thought was good 'till I remembered about that other bridge....Plus, that would require the enemy to go all the way around, and not just out of the keep, over the bridge, and right at us.

Does that make sense? And would that even be something they could get done before the hordes are upon them?

Gorg reacted most unexpectedly to Artanis’ question. He seemed suddenly terrified and bolted in the oposite direction as he screamed something she could not make out. Before she had even recovered from the surprise to react, she saw the boy falling to the ground with an arrow protruding from his back. She had to cover her mouth with her hand to keep from crying out. She looked at Linnix, and knew she had not wanted to shoot the boy. Artanis made her way over to Linnix and hugged her tight, and whispered, “It’s not your fault, you had no choice.” She then pulled back and looked at Linnix, “Your quick action may have bought us time before we have to encounter our next battle.”

The group made their way quickly back over the bridge to regroup. Intella left a bundle by the river, and led her horse across the bridge. Partially out of curiosity, Artanis retrieved the bundle before crossing the bridge as well. The cloak was so soft to the touch, she was tempted to caress the fur with her face. Once on the other side of the bridge, Artanis handed the bundle back to Intella with a half-hearted smile. “My name is Artanis. I am glad you came along to assist in that fight. You are quite the little warrior, and very skilled with your weapons.”

Aelistae was taking care of what healing was still needed when suddenly the quiet of te night was shattered by the drumming once more. Artanis jumped up, drawing her sword and readying her shield.

“We should fight them at the bridge. Their numbers will mean nothing if they can’t swarm over us. And if things go badly, we can always collapse it.”

Artanis looked toward the bridge, then looked north, toward the keep. “Wait!” She thought for a quick moment, trying to remember the map, “There was another bridge leading directly to this portion of land from the keep. They do not need to swarm us at this bridge. They can come at us from two directions.”

With that said, Artanis hadn’t a clue how they could approach this fight, other than head on and hope for the best.

Subject: The boy Speaks

Artanis watched, quite intrigued, as the young Orcish boy slowly made his way toward Aelistae. She gripped the hilt of her sword when someone suddenly cut through the side of the tent, then relaxed when she saw it was only Linnix. She motioned for the woman to stand down, and breathed a sigh of relief when the boy continued his path toward Aelistae.

As the group left the tent, and with it the field of silence, she realized they may have some trouble with the boy. The entire campsite was littered with the fallen kin to this boy. Her eyes darted to his face to see his reaction. She could understand the anger and hatred she saw there, and her heart went out to him. She almost felt guilty. They had just killed the poor boy’s people, possibly his family. She felt an all too familiar ache in her chest at that thought. Artanis knew all too well what it felt like to have her family ripped away from her in such a cruel fashion.

As a result of Aelistae’s gentle persuasion, the boy spoke. It would seem his name was Gorg, and he was a member of the Moon Howl Clan. “Well, that explains the carvings on the items we found.” Artanis thought to herself.

After a few moments, Gorg asked a question, “Why has Bolikar sent you to punish us, we have done nothing wrong. Has Khalil sent you to do her bidding?”

Artanis asked softly, so as not to alarm the boy or scare him, “Who is Khalil?”
