John Warwick is the first of his family to enter Starfleet. His parents are both farmers in Utopia colony and their family where farmers before them back to its settling. John has two older brothers who are both very dedicated and helpful to their parents. John unlike his family is not content to live his days out on a colony, he dreams of seeing the galaxy. While living on Utopia Colony John took great interest in dance and fencing.

John spent four years studying dance at Julliard on Earth. His favorite type is tap. He graduated from Starfleet Academy in the top ten percent of his class fifth top student to be exact. He graduated Starfleet Academy in 2356.
