Q & A Oaks Heart

O.K. the story thread is up. I just gave a brief overview of the town and it's main features, please use this as a basis for your characters background in some way. All races and classes are available with no level restrictions. Please state your intent to play here and i will start helping everyone with character creation. ready to go when y'all are.

What do you mean ...

..... by No Level Restrictions?

Glad to see the Oaks Heart adventure taking shape!

level restrictions

what i mean is that there are no racial restrictions on the level your character can reach. In the rules only humans have the abillity to reach any level in any class. I don't like this rule so i don't use it. Humans don't get anything special due to race like the others do ie. infravision, immunity to charm,. etc. but i make up for that in a special way that i will reveal if your character is a human.

Thanks ...

..... for the clarification!

I will forward this info to the person who is helping me create a character!

When Hingatuli Hammer of Clan Hammer the Dwarf Cleric is basically completed then I will send you a PM with his info for any tweaking that is necessary!

By the way, where do we post any backstory info?

Do we just PM the backstory to you or post it here?

Campaign...

There is now the Oaks Heart thread in the same rules based D&D forum that Orlane is in. I am sure you can post any background story line there.

SD will you post a map like Trip did for Orlane?

I am 95% sure I will be playing T'Sal Ixix a sassy, female, Dark Elf Mage.

maps

maps are going to be hard for me to post. i don't have a scanner and all of them are homemade anyway. i will describe as best i can to try to help all visualize. your home base of Oaks Heart is the only thing set in stone at the moment. that's the main reason i made it so remote, everything else you guys will have to map as we go as there will not have been anything mapped out before hand by anybody anyway. this will mostly be wilderness adventure and maybe some caves and such. i will try to get by my local library sometime and see if they have a scanner but can't promise anything.

I'm in

I will set out to make a character - probably later today. The group seems thin on muscle, so perhaps I shall follow my first instinct with a Dwarf Fighter, although an elf ranger is a possibility.

A dark elf mage? Are all dark elves evil? Is that allowed in this group? Just checkin'.

all things possible

i believe that all things are possible in a fanatsy world. that's my main reason for not using the racial restrictions. I find it hard to swallow that at least 1 dwarf has never wanted to learn magic, or that at least 1 dark elf has a good heart. i don't like absolutes or sterotypes so if you want to try something new and give yourself a challenge that's fine. It's our game guy's give me your input and i'll try to make it happen.

All things are possible

That works for me. Plus, in the Norse world the dwarves were the magicians...

Anvil Ironfist comes out of retirement

As I implied earlier, I am resurrecting the name of one of my recent D2 graduates. Unless the group needs something else, I will be running Anvil Ironfist, a dwarven warrior.
