Star Wars Trivia...Useless and Otherwise

Hey, everybody, gonna give this a shot and see if there's any interest in it.

I figure that the rules can be quite simple: answer the given Star Wars-related question and ask one of your own! If you don't know an answer just say so, and maybe a future poster can give the correct answer.

I'd suggest keeping the questions confined to the movies, as everyone may not be familiar with the expanded universe, but if you're feeling froggy, well, throw whatever you want out there. I consider myself to be a pretty big SW buff, but having said that I will now probably get stumped at every turn-hehe.

By the way, let's observe the honor system and not go Googling the answer if you don't know it; maybe a future poster will be a bigger SW nerd than you! Heh.

Anyway, we'll start with a fairly simple one.

In Episode 4, which Mos Eisley docking bay did Han tell Ben and Luke the Millenium Falcon was berthed in?

How many bounty hunters did Darth Vader commission on the bridge of his ship to hunt down the Millennium Falcon in The Empire Strikes Back?

Actually...

... I think it was four... maybe five?

Boba Fett (of course), Bossk, Zuckus, IG-88, and Dengar... so 5! Did I miss any?

Simple one coming:

What was the number of the detenion cell in which Princess leia was being held aboard the original Death Star?

Bounty Hunters

Impressed at the naming skills!

Will give it a few days before I reveal whether your are correct or incorrect to allow others time to think about it and reply.

Good one

1138...was an homage to Lucas' short film "THX-1138" (was later made full-length).

Which Sith Lord could supposedly stop people from dying?

Answers and Questions

There were six bounty hunters...you forgot 4-LOM.

Darth Plagueis supposedly had the power to stop people from dying.

---

Next Question:

Name two Expanded Universe characters who had cameos in Episode 1.

HINT: You might be looking at one of them right now...

Maul...

...was a Zabrak... and a gersh-dern nasty one at that... pity he died the way he did, would have loved to see him in at least one more of the films.

Mildly obscure one for ya... In RotJ, the Ewoks were not the originally planned inhabitants of Endor. What race was originally slated to he'p the rebels on Endor?

need to throw in a few more 'y's

I believe it was supposed to be wookies originally.

This might be less SW and more moving making trivia, but...

Ray Park. Before he was cast as Darth Maul, he was already connected to Phantom Menace. How?

*bzzzt* I'm sorry, Tim, but that's incorrect.

Wookies is not quite the right answer... A couple of hints for you:

1) 'Y' not try a different race... 'uzz' you scared?

2) The first time I had actually heard of this paricular species was in the novel 'Splinter of the Mind's Eye'

P.S. I have no idea why I called you Tim.

P.P.S. I believe Ray Park was a fight choreographer before being cast as Maul... wasn't he?

hmm

I have no idea then.

And yeah, he was. While showing good ol'George what some of the fights would look like he got himself cast as the character instead of just the double.
Kinda like Ford... he was working as a carpenter on the set and was always around, so he'd help some of the other actors read for their auditions. Lucas cast him and we got an amazing Han Solo.

EDIT:
A-ha, I know what happened. I answered the wrong question. Ha-heh, heh... ahhhh.

So here's an easy one. What planet was the final battle in RotJ originally going to be centered around?

And I still don't know what species was slated to live on Endor before the Ewoks kicked them out.

Okay... partial credit for Deucalion...

...Just read that the Wookies, at one point, were considered for the Ewok role in RotJ so half-a-point for Deuc! I was thinking of an earlier stage in the development, though, pre-wookie, pre-ewok.

In addition to the two clues provided earlier here's another. The race is mentioned in several novelizations, maybe even in the films once or twice, and is definitely included in the Ultimate Alien Anthology source book for the RPG...

Eol ftw!

I have to claim ignorance to your question, Eol...haven't read "Splinter" in many, many years.

(I see my suggestion to confine it to movies is shot to Hoth and back-hehe)

How many fighter craft (NOT including the Falcon) returned from the attack on the first Death Star?
