Snake-Eyes???!!!

I KNEW I shouldn'ta crossed me fingers!

And I also should have listened to my insticts and left the "least amount of sissures" thing out of the post. Cracks would have given Gorsh a better purchase, or handhold, or grip, or place to put his fingers, etc. ...

[Edit]
And then there's the fact that I wanted to do it the hard way (without taking 10's...)

Ummm ...

I would like to poae a couple of questions to all players and the DM:

Does anyone know where Soup is?

For that to matter, does anyone know WHO he is?

He posted in the recruit thread about his character and I offered to help, but got no reply.

He's listed as being in the game, but I don't see a character sheet or post ...

Alright...

Way to put the spotlight on me btw...

Anyway... there's a couple of things I'll need answered before I put up my post.

  1. I'll need the description of the thief. In particular, does he appear armed, and how does he look? Agile? Muscular?
  2. I'll need the description of the painting as would be told to us by our employer.
  3. I'll need a bit more description of the cave. Is it just a dead end where the thief is as far as I can see? How many places are there for others to hide (considering a potential ambush)? Etc.
  4. Also, I need positioning. Exactly how far away is the thief, etc.

I think that's it for now... and then I'll post the next step

Since I kinda "started it" ...

It was kind of a "knee-jerk" thought. With the motley crew (Motley Crue?) she is associated with and her being a drow, it just seemed to jump out at me ...

Not to mention that I got a few giggles out of it, too ...

But don't worry. We'll back you up. Right people? People? Ummm ...

Back Up

I'll back you up, both of you

It dose fit though, a drow leading our motley crew, or it would if we/you were evil.

If you need a suggestion then a good idea would be to insist on having one person stay with you for protection, some one equally good with swords and bows and with a whole quiver of useful weapons. Not saying any names

Sorry, I deserve a whole lot of smites for that.

This one sees a problem, tho' ...

Although my character doesn't know it, the sum of 1K gp has been mentioned. How will we (or she) cover that?

Methinks we got a bit of a sticky wicket here ...

LOL

You just tell them to hand over the painting and your'll leave the money, , that'll never work.

We need to lure them out of the cave, change the status quo a bit, make them fight on our grounds so to speak.

This fella isn't stupid but if we give him say, a token payment, a small amount of the gold now, the 'rest' after we get the picture then when we have the pic we can lead him outside into something like an ambush or just do a runner.

Hardly

Jevaf knows this thief is an amateur, but isn't going to be stupid about it. Depending on how the situation presents itself, she'll move onto the next step as required.

Well

I've exited the cave and hopefully made out that there are two less then there are in our group.

I hope your drow is smart enough to bluff her way through this, or if not fast enough to escape

Descriptions

To Wyrmsting I read that soup went on vacation and hasn't posted in over a month as I can see, as he only have 2 posts (just checked) and so is no longer in.

1. I'll need the description of the thief. In particular, does he appear armed, and how does he look? Agile? Muscular?
-The thief is garbed in a neutral gray cloak, a mithral chain shirt (by the way in this world mithral is a very bright metal that lies between silver and straight white) and has two swords on his sides, they appear to be a Short Sword and a Dagger. He is slim but agile and not to tall either, the man has a gruff face and long black hear, he is clean shaven to reveal the multiple scars, one over his right eye, another on that same cheek and a last one on his chin.

2. I'll need the description of the painting as would be told to us by our employer.
-The panting is of a long forgotten king, he is a very old man stroking his long white beard. The old mans face has deep wrinkles on his forehead as if deep in thought.

3. I'll need a bit more description of the cave. Is it just a dead end where the thief is as far as I can see? How many places are there for others to hide (considering a potential ambush)? Etc.
-Sorry I forgot the cave, you have walked in about thirty feet and turned the corner to the right, there you can see a few stalagmites and the thief is on the far side of the cave where it ends.

4. Also, I need positioning. Exactly how far away is the thief, etc
-You are beside a stalagmite and he is approximately forty feet away.

Jevaf is the leader to him because she arrived first and there were asumption. (plus would you like to do a deal with a catfolk?)

Sibelius Eos Owm

If you had of read Okron post correctly you would know that the thief does not reveal himself until we have left the cave.

A simple matter

of false assumption, which is being rectified.

On another note, I see that our Paladin's Intelligence is 18. Now, even at fourth level, after the first bonus point has been given, that is impossible for a Half-Orc. I have to wonder if stryke forgot to apply all the racial bonuses, or merely missed the Int penalty. Not that I think that anyone reallys need the reminder- they are +2 Str, -2 Int, -2 Cha.
