Shouldn't be hard

If you have the space to host it shouldn't be overly hard to do then? I mean, we could just have RDI-Radio, with a constantly looping stream of music either suggested or just shoved up there by whoever is running it. Possibly live events...at 3 AM...while people should be sleeping...and I find a mic.

well...

...it bears consideration. But how many items would we need just to handle a two hour loop?

A lot.

We'd need minions to get busy.

Haha

I think that's a really awesome idea. You'd have my support/help if you launched it.

Me too

I have actually been looking for some of the old songs. Most are still around. Brobdignagian Bards, Dagger of the Moon, etc. Shouldn't be too hard to track down the artists and ask permission.

Some old time favorites

Dagger of the Moon
Do Virgins Taste Better Than Those Who Are Not?
There are also scores of other free audio out there and indy songs that would work well. I'm not quite sure how copywrite laws work and if an artist can still gather commissions or what. Anyone a lawyer? What if we threw in some video game music - THAT could fill hours right there. Get a few innmates to record some shows or do some live stuff and you're set.

More and more websites out there have their own radio stations. Maybe it's time we hop on board.

I like that idea

The Grugg Show.... that's something I'd definitely listen for.

Once every so often there would be a special dedicated to the largly unknown art of Orcish Throat-Singing from the brothers of their Himalayan Monastery.

.

On another note, I just listened to the DM's song. I loved it. Now I don't have to glance through the words trying to remember the tune to the song, some of which I admit I didn't know the title to (I hear the tune to the DM's Song frequently on the radio, but I never knew what it was). Going to listen to more. Applaud.

Al chimes in

First off, my thanks to Olan for giving life to my work. I really do the parodies as a bit of fluff writing but it is still great to hear them done.

I do take requests if anyone is interested. I will be adding a threead to the creative forum with some of my works that are not not the site already.

With the new set up on the site, I wonder if people even know we have poems, songs and stories posted. it used to be front and centred but now it is lost in a menu bar.

...

Yeah it was good...except for the fact that it was set to the tune of the most annoying song ever.

I just hate James Blunt. And I'm not the only one. His name has become part of Cockney Rhyming Slang, and the association with 'blunt' isn't too flattering.

Olan should do radio.

Okay, I'm listening to this song right now, and I'm noticing something weird. You know when you're listening to the radio, and the DJs' voices never seem to fit their faces when you actually find out what they look like? I think the same deal is kinda going on here. Seriously. Maybe its the mental image of ye olde Webmaster singing so soulfully that just blows a giant hole in my brain, but I can't see Olan with this voice. especially when he hits those high notes. Whoa.

P.S.
Can you spell Death Metal Cover?!!

really?

I had him pegged for a girly voice right away XD

Seriously though I think it's just the way the song is. The DM song seems to be in a more "normal" range.

Personally

Always thought Olan would sound like Mariah.

wow

Just wow. I feel flattered, and also...

just wow.

"DM Song" was much more in my range. I had to key "You're Gruesome" down a bit to have any chance (though I can hit the notes falsetto with my earbuds in, the tone quality is just rotten. No need to subject you all to that).

I just enjoy doing 'em, so I'm requested more off of Al (the truly talented one, here). I'd also love to hear others chime in with their own tunes!
