coeliacs

If that is indeed the diagnoses, then it's actually a pretty happy day. Of course no disease is good, but it's comparable to lactose intolerance or any other autoimmune allergy.

Better be something like coeliacs than some of the other much worse possibilities.

I wouldnt stress it too much I have one thats almost ten and is the size of a first grader. he's perfectly healthy and the school insists on making us take him to the dr twice a year to be sure. finally a doctor this year tod us he doesnt absorb food like some kids do. his prescribed solution was to feed him lots of junk food lol and it seems to work he's still a bean bole but hes not anerexic looking and hes actually grown a whole inch!

Skinny Babies

I was a skinny baby. They actually accused my mother of child abuse I was so thin, did all these tests and found that I just had a super high metabolism. I was a pretty healthy child and only in the past ten years have started to have medical issues, I was tested for celiac (I love bread and am very happy that came back negative ), and they found that I had IBS and probably have for a long time... one of the results is you don't absorb food like normal people, along with other things... I am currently 26, 5'6'', and 115lbs, so I'm still tiny, and smaller than anyone in my family.
I'll keep the little bundle of joy in my happy thoughts, and hopefully it's just something like that.
If it is just something digestive related on a long term basis he'll just want to be more aware of digestive problems than most people his age. I've already gone through two colonoscopies, had a large polyp removed and am due for another scopie in a few months. But I'm still plugging along

coeliac

I had a kid in my class a few years ago, who was a coeliac. That was no easy feat, I can tell you. There is much more involved in living with that than just not eating certain things. But maybe there are degrees or something. I don't remember. But I sure hope that's not what's bothering Noah.

Maybe he just has fancy taste? Reincarnation of a famous chef, perhaps? Did you try feeding him lobstertongues dressed on a bed of strawberry freckles?

results...

...all tests came back normal, which is great news. For now, the verdict is just that Noah is not eating enough. The doctor wants us to get him to drink supplements like Boost and Pediasure in an effort to get more nutrient-rich calories in him.

He goes back for a wieght check in two months.

Nothing to worry about.

Everything is likely going to turn out to be fine. Medicine is akin to working on a car. Both the mechanic and the doctor don't really know what's wrong. They just say, it sounds like it could be this issue so we'll try this. It is likely that Noah is just picky. Or that he's slight of frame.

*Sighs*

I feel so weird in the family.

I'm the only girl AND I eat everything.

I'm glad little bro is okay though! *Hugs Noah* Thanks for caring everybody ^.^ I'm just going with he's the most insane picky eater in the world.
