.

One thing though, i said i was charging up with bearspaw to get a flank, was that as far as i could of gone because i wanted to get to melee as fast as possible with the barbarian guy.

While you did say

... in youir post, an indication of how fast Gunk was running was missing, as I read it. Had you mehtioned "as fast as possible", or "at top speed", or "sprint", or the like, it would have put the half-orc in flanking position in the same round as Bearspaw.

Since relative speed was not indicated, I assumed faster-ghan-a0-jog, but a slower-than-full-out run. This would still put Gunk in the desireed position at the beginning of the next round, so he can strike with Bearspaw ...

[[ edit to clarify ]]
While you did yuse the word "charge", a charge ending in an attack has a maximum speed of double your movement rate, no faster. And even at that speed, you could not cover the necessary distance to flank amd arrive at the same time as Bearspaw (his speed is 40, yours is 30, and you had to travel farther...)

Well I did say I was running parallel with bearpaw and that i was going to flank when they got into combat. but its ok, its only one round of combat.

Two things...

One I included in my game post, about the added benefits of rage.

Also, one's just a clarification. Thrown weapons can go out to five increments, and bows (crossbows, longbows, shortbows, the like) can go out to ten range increments, with each increment giving a stacking -2 penalty.

And I don't like your dice Wyrm. A crit miss with my first roll? Grr...

Though I am having fun, and it looks to be a great game.

Oh, I guess that's more than to things.. oh well.

To clarify again

Running "parallel" with Bearspaw is not the same as running alongside him. Gunk can take a parallel path, but heu first had to start by going "out and around" Ether to make the necessary straight-line-charge speed.

Yeah, you're right, it's only one round but, due to Gunk's position and relative move rate, it was just not possible for him to move that far and attack in one round.

Gboy

You did, in fact, mention raging in your post.

Read it twice, missed it twice.

Fixed it now. Revised hp info in post.

Position question

Two quick questions so I can post:
1. How far is velina from the downed cleric?

2. Can she make it there and attack in one round without offerign anyone an attack of opportunity on her? (she is mounted still)

killing

Hey KoD, not sure what you were planning but i agree with Admiral's post talking about questioning the cleric, I think there's something to it, maybe if you attack him go for a knock unconscious instead of a kill... dunno, what do you guys think?

I concur

That would be a pretty good idea.

yea

It doesn't really have to be the cleric, but I do think it would be smart to keep one of them alive - and the cleric is the smallest threat right now after the beatdown he took from Jeth and Eth

Plus I can always plunk him with an arrow (out to like 1000 feet, albeit with penalties - I think I still have true strike available) if he tries to run away.

range

I'm with Admiral, if he's incapacitated right now then we have more issues with the spells and arrows sniping us off while we try to deal with the others. What do you guys think?
