"Our physical form remains almost the same as when we die, however our mental form is completely changed. We now think of blood, and death. Not just that of others, but our own. And of course, we do not forget things easily. We are quite different from when we died."

"Are you telling me you were a totally different person?"

Erina looked at him.

"Were you nice back then?"

"Nice is a matter of opinion dear. Though I will tell you I was more sensitive, as that is fact. A few hundred years of a cruel harsh world, and living with your regrets will harden you up rather quickly. I'm surprised I still know my name. I'm surprised I still care about myself. And most of all, I'm most surprised I haven't run into a pack of Lycans baring my chest and begging them to kill me. The world is a curious place Lyca. It does things to people."

Erina nodded.

"Yes, yes it is." She looked up at the sky.

"I think my real name should be Ciradia. It's new, like I am now."

"You may call yourself what you wish. After all, I do. But a name is a powerful thing Lyca. I changed my name to take up my career as a secret police officer. However... now nobody knows me. I can walk anywhere, and be greeted as a stranger." D'Artigo takes out a flask from within his cloak, opens it, and downs it.

"Do you still think I'm self centered?"

"I don't know. It's like I can see things so differently."

Ciridia looked up at the sky again.

"You don't think I'm troublesome, do you?"

D'Artigo chuckles. "Lyca, I have ALWAYS seen you as troublesome. Nothing has changed now that you're Lycan. Oh, and I mean that with only the greatest affection... you know that, right?

"What do you mean greatest affection?" Ciridia tilted her head again.

"I don't understand."

"It's a simple way of saying I don't outright hate you."

"Oh." She smiled at him.

"So would you call me your friend?"

"Perhaps. We shall see. Friend is a powerful word. For now, I prefer my term 'acquaintance'."

Ciridia smiled at him.

"You always seem so strange. But it's like you just try to not hurt people."

Ciridia blinked and looked away.

"I'm sorry."

Jessica was quiet during this connversation. She could guess how Ciradia was feeling. Jessica almost liked the idea that there was more then one Lycan. Though Jerssica felt a little angry at that angel. Jessica spoke "Ciradia, if you need to ask an queston about our kin. Just ask. Lycan can understand each other in either form."

"Lyca I'm going to hurt people. Don't worry about that. It just matters who I hurt, and how much."

Approaching the village, D'Artigo motions for Miv to follow him, while saying "Look, to start, I think we should just have my baby see other vampires, at least until we can turn her away from blood lust. That is when she'll be most aggressive. After that, we'll bring her over here, to keep her away from those less capable of protecting themselves. After that, she'll be fine here. Sound like a plan?"

"One thing: Lyca better never end up like your 'baby'. Other than that I'm good."
