Miv

Miv didn't react at first. Suddenly, she felt sick to her stomach.

"You... I grew up with you Erina. And I don't even know you." Miv looked at her sister.

"Will you make any defense?"

Erina

Erina didn't even bother to ask for forgiveness or give some petty excuse.

"You've known who I am Miv. It's time you grow up and leave your fantasy world. You know what your princess of? A bunch of dead bodies and a ruined castle. I think it's time you take her head out of the past and see what's right in front of you: EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED."

Erina stood up and walked quickly, following D'Artigo.

Where's Waldo? Er... D'Artigo.

The black of night gives no indication to where D'Artigo might be. It was as though he walked out and took up a good hiding spot.

However, this was not the case. He had snuck into a nook and waited for Erina to walk past him. When she had, he snuck back into the room he had previously been in. Seeing Miv alone, he speaks in a reassuring, soothing tone.

"Rose, you know that even if Angel would want to burn you, I wouldn't let it happen right? You can't hide what you are. You've got the regal surrounding. You might be timid, but you're royal. No mistake. You're the hope of the people. And you won't die. Not before you see my face anyway."

Erina

Erina had already lost interest in the vampire the second she had stepped out of the room.

Picking up a sprit, Erina took off and circled high into the dark sky.

She sighed and stopped moving her wings, her body flipping and speeding back to the earth.

Erina's eyes closed and her wings folded.

Erina

As she'd done so many times, Erina again saved herself inches from the ground.

Her wings once again beat and she headed back to her original spot.

She landed and walked back into the room, past the others, and into the cellar. Erina laid against a wall and fell asleep.

...

Miv gave no expression.

"I don't care to see your face anymore." She said softly.

Just then, Erina entered and walked past her, into the cellar.

Miv sighed and curled up where she was, falling into a deep sleep.

Lamiel

The night was black as pitch, or so it seemed with no moon out, and the clouds lying thick and low in the sky. Even the night eyes of changers and vampires would be less sharp on a night such as this. A night for dark deeds. A night for secrets.

The traveller's cloak might have once been deep green, but now it was faded to the color of the rough moss growing upon the trees. Regardless, it blended into the darkness, and so served its purpose. Not that it was needed on this night. No prying eyes were open to see, and might as well have been wearing a shimmering gown of silver threads. Still, caution was called for.

Animosities long nursed in the hearts of the conquered had erupted into bloodshed, and few, if any, would be safe in the nights to come. Uncounted fallen from both sides were mourned, and the hatred of this bloody work would not soon be forgotten. A black time had fallen upon the land, and the light would not be seen again in this place before many more lives were lost.

It would be a hard time for everyone, harder for some than others. For children, for parents, for lovers perhaps most of all, it would be a time of terror, of fear, of the constant threat of loss stripping all joy from the world; but for an enchantress, it would be a time of opportunity. The traveller increased her pace, for the castle was far, and time was short...

Erina

Erina wasn't sleeping well. She couldn't shake the feeling, a pirckling at the back of her neck, that she was being watched.

She finally gave up on dreaming and stood, walking out of the cellar.

Miv was still there, as was D'Artigo, but she wasn't interested in talking to him. Or waking her sister.

"I'm going for a walk." Erina announced and set a brisk pace. She explored the ruins, guessing at what wall may have stood where.

She ran her hand over a crumbling stone section. She sighed and sat down. Not only 24 hours ago, this had been the greatest kingdom of the land.

Now it was just a pile of rubble. Erina closed her eyes halfway and leaned against the stones, thinking.

Late again

Jessica in panther form. Had wander around the rumble. No Julia, good sign. No father, bad sign. Jessica followed her nose back to Erina. She had heard the talk between the three of them. That new vampire scared her. He just might bite her as soon as he saw her. She shuderred at the idea of vampire fangs sinking into her neck. She found Erina leaning on one of the walls. Still in panther form. She sat a little bit away from Erina. Jessica layed down on her stomach and put her head on her paws.

Erina

Erina looked at the panther for a second, her eyes burning crimson.

"You don't like D'Artigo." She stated.

It wasn't a question. Erina said it like a fact.

At the castle

Looking down at the ruins, the traveller saw a figure standing among the stones. Good, at least one was still here. It wasn't too late, then. She hurried her pace, carefully picking her way through the fallen stones that had once been a mighty fortress.

"A dark night," she said softly as she approached the pair - the woman and the panther. Stepping out of the shadows, she pulled back her hood, revealing black eyes, like pools of night. He skin was a dusky shade of olive, and silken hair brushed her jawline as she spoke. "There are no walls to defend, yet you still keep watch. I find that curious."

Nice to meet you

Jessica frowned. She got up and turned to the stranger. She turned into human form. The woman blinked in some form of surprise at Jessica's scars. Jessica answered "We are not keeping watch. Who are you?"

Erina

"We have friend: two vampires. I'm Erina, Fallen Angel, this is Jessica, Lycan." Erina said.

Her wings fluttered alittle, releasing a feather. It landed on Jessica's head.

Lamiel

The changer wore the scars of many fights and was alert and wary, despite her claims that they were not keeping watch. This was unsurprising, given the recent fight. The Fallen, though, was something of an enigma... They always were to Lamiel. Their worlds too far apart and yet too similar for real understanding, it seemed. There were vampires about as well, which was exactly what the enchantress was hoping for.

"I am called Lamiel. There is little time. Whatever survivors remain will need to be gathered. Take only what you can carry. It is not safe here."
