We can get a special title for having 200 posts? I need to get on that, then, becuase my doofy generic title is really uncool.

Maybe we should come up with an actual rule for when you get a title... I mean the standard titles are based on post-count, so that's no good... Maybe time you've been at the Inn? Number of other Innmates you've met? Being overwhelmingly pretty (that's how I got mine).

I've been here for almost 2 years, have more than 1,000 posts and 4 articles, and only just recently got anything resembling a title (which can't really be called a title, but it resembles it). I believe activity on the Inn should varrant a title, activity which should translate to post count and what you do for the Inn (such as staff members).

That being said, you could try being daddy's little princess and ask Olan

I echo my earlier sentiments that distributing them past staff members and an elite few of longtime and high contributing members makes it much harder to deny them now.

I'm just rambling pointlessly at this point that has no point for pointlessness so don't point at me.

Since I've handed out 90% of the titles here, let me explain something.

I usually pick one or two people every few months. First off I look for people that have been around since the Inn's old days, before this new layout, and before the big crash when we lost everything.

People who, if you ask the innmates, half of them would instantly recognize the person as a good player/GM/person whatever.

I also look for people who have run (or tried to run) a game. I also look for people playing in multiple games. The average number is about 5-6. Usually that means they have been a member for a year or more.

Finally, it just happens that those said people typically have high karma, high post counts, and a good reputation.

If someone doesn't appear to meet those criteria (Vilymar comes to mind) then they typically have been an active member since before the crash. Vil in particular played in my very first game back in 01!

So yes, we have a lot of members with titles. We also have over a thousand without. It's just a little way of saying thanks for helping make the inn a great place. It might appear that a lot of people have custom titles - that's only because the people with them tend to be the most active. And that's not a coincidence.

That's my code of conduct at least - I can't speak to what any of the other staff members use to determine who gets what.

P.S. I'm also an absent-minded sloth, so I usually miss otherwise qualified people. About half of you with titles can thank Grugg for spamming my inbox.

P.P.S. But we all love Grugg because he is handsome and manly. So very manly, and particularily handsome indeed.
