Now, now...

It's not at all like arguing about which type of zombie is better. It's like arguing about which kind came first. I'm pretty sure that would be the shambling, slow-moving, essentially mindless, slave-labor for unpleasant dark magician zombies.

I don't know what it is about this place that makes so many people of the opinion that all disagreement must, by necessity, be an unpleasant altercation, at best, and that the only way to keep it from becoming "ugly" is to shut up and walk away... Frankly, it annoys me to no end. You know whatthey call a group of people who always agree with each other, and never voice contrary opinions? A cult.

Personally, I happen to know that this site is frequented by rather a lot of intelligent and creative people, and I enjoy discussing points of disagreement with these sorts of people. If I'm wrong, I want someone to tell me I'm wrong, and I demonstrate that same courtesy to everyone else. If there's a disagreement over who is wrong, I see nothing wrong with talking about it until either the correct side becomes clear, or the people involved get tired of it and walk away.

Telling a group of people having a discussion among themselves that the conversation is deserving of ridicule just because you don't think the point is important enough to put the effort in to come to the truth is the hight of rudeness. I can't speak for anyone else here, but I for one would appreciate not being belittled for finding the topic interesting. Nothing personal, Jozan. As a general rule, I rather like you, but in this case, you're the one who turned it ugly.

Ryst has a point

Its an "argumentive" thread so-to-speak, so they are technically doing what is asked of them, besides, its not like its spiraling out of control, or neither side can win, as long you have difinitive proof, you can claim victory. I rather enjoy reading this, and I agree with Ryst, this site is frequented by pleasant argumentive conversation. Thats what makes it such a joy for people like Ryst and I to keep coming back to.

Oh...

...and before I forget. Slow zombies are better.
