Sounds, sounds

The bubbling laughter of a happy child
My daughter singing to herself when she doesn't think anyone's listening
The contented rumble my husband makes when he hugs me
The sheer exuberance of the birds in spring
Loons calling at sunset (the birds! not telemarketers!)
The gurgle/swish of moving water

so many...

Rain on a window pane
My friends laughing
My cats 'talking' to birds
My cats purring contentedly when I snuggle with them
My great nephews whispering secrets into my ear
The far off sound of a train whistle in Winter
The frozen crunch of snow
The soft rustle of leaves on trees in the summer
The crackle of a fire on a cold snowy evening
The theme song to my fav show...Battlestar Galactica

and so many more. GOOD question

mm hmm, adding on:

I also love to hear the soft rustle of leaves on trees in the summer. It's like they're talking to each other sometimes. And when the trees are swaying in the wind and the branches are moving around, it's like they're dancing and talking and interacting with each other, or with you. I get the same feeling in winter. It's haunting when they creak, but exciting too!

ok, I'm a little weird on the imagination side. It happens.

The sea

She sings to me, and I'll listen as long as you'll let me...

...but when the song becomes a call, I'll go wherever she takes me.

yea

a fan helps a lot of people sleep. Helped my dad. And cold rooms also.
When i was younger i had a friend who did the same thing you do. I would stay at her house occasionally and I slept in the same bed with her, and i thought i was going to freeze to death, and if not that, i thought i would die from all the snot and sickness i was getting, haha. It was cold, and the fan was just making it worse. But i made it through the night.

that's funny LSD

I'm the same way.
I CANNOT sleep if I'm the least bit warm.

Just two nights ago I had to set the fan right next to my bed blowing on my face and then I went to sleep.

hee hee...maybe we're going through menopause.

the danger of fans

my grandma is 78 but she's still a working doctor
and she had a patient
who because he drove in a convertible with the wind whipping in his face,
ended up with a distorted face that was slanted upwards
and the muscles were all crazy
and he came to find my grandma for a cure
and it costs A LOT to cure
so be careful with the fan...
(that also happened to my uncle when he was reading in front of an open window with the wind coming in... that was when my grandma was first introduced to the malady)

Fan

You know, I find the fan kind of soothing, too... but growing on the Texas Gulf Coast, where the summers can be fatally hot, it's rather understandable, I think. Similar to the reason why iced tea and lemonade are always welcome around here.

...although I never go the fan in the face thing, personally. My older brother is like that. I couldn't do it. I prefer to sleep where the air is cold, but a fan in the face would annoy me to no end... and tangle my beautiful, beautiful hair...
