heh

Don't think I won't give you a chance at a duel just because you don't have a lightsaber

I'll either do special duel rules (doubtful) or use circumstancial AoO (more likely). Maybe just do it simple and make a new action, 'Guard', that allows you to get AoO against opponents moving through threatened space. It would perhaps be a swift action?

EDIT: For now, let's just stick to having the AoO. Additionally, you'll each get 10xlevel xp just for being active each time I update the game. One post is enough, but more posts increase your chance at getting roleplaying xp.

An Update

An update. Whee.

There are two doors, to make things clear. One is a security door that can only be opened from a remote location. The bridge perhaps. The other is simpler. It has a panel where the correct security card must be inserted to open, but you don't have such a card.

I assumed Benjamin would follow the rest of the group. Even if he did not, he can still sense the two Sith that you already know about.

EDIT: I also gave out activity XP to those who posted. You might find that I am a bit unfair to some of you for not waiting a little longer for your posts, but I will update early if I can.

EDIT2: You may not have noticed but I don't count your blaster shots. Effectively, you have endless energy to hurl at your enemies. 'So what is the point of energy cells?' you might ask. If you fumble with a natural 1 on your roll, it may be interpreted as your cell dying or being damaged. At that time, an additional cell will be handy.
If you prefer, I could keep a close count of your ammo but that would count for all of you. I'm not going to count one PC's ammo and give the rest of you endless charge. What do you think I should do? Give you endless ammo or keep a close count of every shot fired?

Ammo

I don't think either is needed, my character certainly has enough power packs/energy cell to keep her blaster going as well as something to recharge those cells.

Infinite energy supply so long as I can recharge the recharger thing when I can.

But I'll keep count anyways.

Count...

I've been keeping track myself as well... well, kind of hard to mess up when your character has only shot once...

I'd rather that we keep track of our own ammo... it makes it a bit more realistic, since then there is the worry of running out of ammo, and I'm used to keeping track of arrows as well on my D&D characters anyway

I don't really care... but if I need to have an opinion...

I'd go with Skari-dono's suggestion and only need a new cell pack if you roll a fumble. Why?

1) Way easier on the GM! One less thing to keep track of.

2) SAGA Edition has that "heroic" feel to it, almost like Mutants & Masterminds (not quite "super" heroic, but a "larger than life" feel).

3) SAGA Edition also seems to be more stream-lined than D20. I'm actually surprised your suggestion, SD, is not the standard of the book.

Anyway, I care not, as Benjamin won't be using a blaster often (I hope).

Also, sorry for not posting. I got a couple projects dumped on me this week. But they're all done by Sunday thankfully, so I will be back at it by Monday AM (maybe sooner, but don't hold your breath).

Cool

RL has that effect on people
Do your job, then get back to us full hearted. There will be an update if I manage to make one on Sunday, but remember that you don't need to post more than a few lines to get the bonus XP.
Also, it would be great to know if Benjamin follows or stays.

Well...

I've been trying to look it up... and it seems a bit ambiguous, so I'll ask here: since the pad requires a keycard, it would be very difficult (or impossible) to hack via the computer system, right?

Before I look it up myself...

I would not say it would be impossible, and I imagine it would not be as difficult as to hack your way through laser-blasted panel, but it would not be easy.

I'm saying this before I look it up myself, so I suggest you get through that door before I correct myself

locks

sensibly I would think that it would need a computer to rapidly program the data card with all the possible codes.

But if you say it's possible just tell me how and I'll modify my post to get on and hack that door rather then... well, read my current post.

That's why I'm here...

Don't forget, Kate's basically a walking computer... that talks, has six arms, and can cut a person in half... if there's a way for her to program data cards, let me know...

...

I would not say that Kate is able to program datacards unless she is also somehow able to read them as well (that is to say, without using an actual computer).

However, if you can find a port to connect you to the ship's main computer, you might be able to convince it to open either or both doors. It would require you to connect to the computer (1 action), improve your access (at least 2 actions), and then make it disengage the security lock (1 action; basically a disable program action). Every door you want unlocked would count as a seperate action though.
You can take 10 on all actions.

Oops...

Well, that's kind of silly... I didn't even think of looking for ports... I'll redo my post and suggest it accordingly

hmm

Alrighty, in order to speed things up a bit, Kate does notice a port that she can connect to. It is a port meant for service droids to use for repairs and access. You probably wouldn't have noticed it without looking for it. You can edit your posts to include this if you like, but it'll still be there.

(You can stop after improving your access and wait before doing any real work in the computer. Your access won't worsen the longer your wait and your access will be just as good if you access the main computer again.)
