Oh and people, I have come up with the most brilliant plan to get the potion to the tree. Lets just use the ring of hte mage hand we got in Warm Dale to float it over. we can get within atleast 25 feet of tree. Whats the spell level of the ring?

Your Kidding Right

Al, You mean to tell me that they changed the rate of fire from two arrows a round to this manyshot BS.

This is why I WILL NEVER run a AD&D Game in 3rd edition or any other beyond 2nd. I am of half a mind to say the hell with this and create a new character maybe say a chipmonk for all the help I am as a Ranger.

Sorry Al just woke up and ranting but I still think its a crock

ah

No problem Tann, I ranted at 3rd edition and up just like you are doing now. But in the end I like it's complete structure better than 2nd edition. A ranger does get the manyshot for free at some point, but that is if he choses to go with the archery specialization. You've gone for the two weapon fighting special (I gave you the choice when we made Malius.)

Anyway... I forgive you for ranting, but I have to agree that at a low level like 5th is, two arrows a round is a little much without sacrificing something for it (the sacrifice would be 'buying' the feat.) But don't sweat! At 6th level.. which is getting closer... you'll be able to make two attacks in 1 round.

Good morning!

My next post

Ok AL as I have nothing really new to add to a next post consider Malius to be firing arrows and if anything moves into melee with him to have drawn swords and defended himself as such.

New Player

Since Vesper had to leave, and wasn't very clear when he is getting back, I found somebody to take over Alyssia.

Cdnflirt will be governing her moves and be the new addition to our wonderful team! Give her a warm welcome please

Crap...

I just read jozan's q/a post after postign in game.. I so totally didn't mean to steal the mage hand idea... was looking over page one of the thread and saw we had it.. (I'm pretty sure you got it before I even took over the character)..

My bad... but Jozan it really is a great idea!

It's alright dont worry about it. We just need to see if we can get within 25 feet of the tree without being attacked by a horde of things. I doubt it will be as easy as floating it over and dumping it on and viola, forest saved =P

Tree and distance.

How close can we get to the trunk of the tree?

How soggy does the ground seem?

nope

It's not as simple. As was already stated by somebody I think, the potion needs to be rubbed on the tree, not just poured on.

The tree is about 75 feet away from where you are standing, on the other side of a clearing. The trees surrounding it look sick and twisted, and the ground looks soggy/muddy, but not swampy. The ground is saturated with fluid, but HOW soggy it is exactly you cannot tell from here.
