Flame

Flame deftly swoops under the beam of light and on reaching Brianna, grabs her braid, ducks behind her back and cries out.

"HEWLP! HEWLP!" "BRIANNA SAVE ME!"

Brianna

Briana brought up her horn to her lips and blew a long note, alerting the camp. Instinctively she swung halfway off the left side of Shadowbane's neck with but a hand tangled in this mane and her leg hooked over his back to keep her on him.

Most of that was done from her fighter's instinct for survival. It was only after that that she was all to process what she had heard as well Who ever had called out had been trying to warn her of attack and apparently protect her. Perhaps there was more than on up there.

"Who are you she calls out form behind Shadowbane's body, why did you attack Flame?" Brianna calls out loudly, and then clarifies that last bit. "...my Dragonette."

Explanation

"My humblest apologies my lady. I thought you were in danger." Xander speaks quietly as he approaches, lowering his mace. He hefts his shield up a bit to show the holy symbol emblazoned on it. "From the distance, I saw this creature fly towards you quickly and believed it to be a foe. I surely hope you accept my apology. I just arrived in this unknown place and I am rather confused on where I now stand. One moment I was in ruins and the next..." The cleric takes a huge leap of faith.

Soronuume

Soronuume sat in the encampment with her companions and the newcomers. It was good to have time for respite and thought. In a matter of moments she had left the world she called home to find herself stranded with near strangers in an alien world. Her life had taken her on long journeys far from her home in the elven sanctuary, but she had never thought to leave the very world which had bore her. Toril had been all she'd known in the near two centuries of her life, leaving had been inconceivable. Yet here she was, and it was not all that strange. Had the elven people not come to Toril from the Faerie land? Her life had been sworn in service to The People, and even in this alien place she would find a way to make that so, she just needed time to think... and to mourn.

Where others lived on the earth of Toril she had become one with it and only now was that loss becoming apparent. Although this world still upheld the very laws of nature she could feel its difference. The life rhythms were different, it was not Toril. Xu sat by her side, uncharacteristically close, the panther accepted the change but even she felt the loss. Given time they would find their way in this place, maybe even find their way back home, but for now her life was tied to this new world and to her newfound companions.

It was odd that she found her self wholly immersed with their lot. For some years she had wandered the wilderness with Xu as her lone companion, only by chance had she met Lorae, Brianna, and Devon. Now she found herself tied to them, and perhaps to these newcomers. Such was the passage of life and she would make peace with it, eventually.

This new world held rhythms unknown to her, and a lifetime in unification with the natural world only intensified her awareness of that. A part of her felt an overwhelming excitement at the thought of attuning to this new place. It held new secrets and new wonders waiting to be discovered. Surely some of The People had made their way to this world after the sojourn from Faerie. Perhaps she would find them.

The sudden blaring note of a horn pulled the wild elf from her reverie and Soronuume's amber eyes darted to its source. She saw Flame dart away from a searing blast of light, an attack. In but a breaths time she leapt to her feet and darted forward silently beckoning Xu to follow. Then without hesitation she ran forward and leapt into the air.

As her feet left the ground her form flickered and changed to that of a great harpy eagle. The bird could soar as high as its cousins, but life in the jungle lent it great agility in navigating the twisting trees of the jungle. With avian dexterity she moved through the trees before bursting above their canopy to soar to Flame and Brianna. In a few heartbeats she was at their side. Landing with a great screech her form flickered back to that of the wild elven druid.

Soronuume stood strong beside the amazon and her dragonette. Curly tendrils of wild dark hair danced around before settling in place around a fine sculpted face and body. Her smooth, green tinged copper skin held almond shaped eyes of a bright golden amber hue that stared out before her. She possessed a wild untamed beauty that was apparent even now in her state of alarm.

Beside Brianna the elf did reach for her blade, she could call the fury of the storm and that was far more deadly than any blade she wielded. Instead she stared forward at the armored man before her.

Addressing the man Soronuume spoke out in a clear voice, "Who are you?"

Hmmm

"I am called Xander, follower of Pelor. Healer and warrior against evil wherever it may be. Defender of the innocent." The cleric watches the newcomer with some suspicion, lowering his shield, the symbol of his god emblazoned brightly across it. He hooks his mace onto his belt and bows his head somewhat towards the three. "I arrived here somehow and do not know where I now tread. If either of you three know, I would appreciate a explanation on how I came about this place, though beautiful I fear it holds some sort of evil that needs to be cleansed to make it whole once more." A air of strong confidence comes from the man, though he looks rather young. Perhaps early twenties at best.

Brianna

Brianna lets herself drop to her feet from where she hung of the said of Shadowbane. and stood d alongside of the Druidess. I do not know this Pelor he serves. So you?" she asks Soronuume.

Brianna signed deeply. Your lost too eh? You have asked the wrong people. We came through that gateway just earlier but we do not know where this place is, Only thatis not our world."

Gesturing at the red dragonette hiding behind her red hair she says, "This little fellow and Precious know where we are but all they say is that they are home now and day we have to go West to get to some big river that will lead us to other people."

Adventure

"Perhaps then I can accompany you on this mission? It seems it is the only thing to do at the current venture and if it will bring more information to our ears to discover where we truly are, I am more then willing to go. There are others who arrived just as I have?" Xander rubs his chin.

Brianna

"A mission to nowhere," Brianna grimaces. "Currently we are two groups that arrived here from different places. The tall amazon woman strode quickly through the tall lush meadow grasses, until she neared the horses she released the hold she had on his long forelock. Brianna waved him away. The big black war horse took a leap sideways kicking up hs heels and galloped towards the grazing horses.

"Come and meet the others," Brianna offered. She took some time to observe the fighting man.

"This Pelor you serve, is he lord or king?"

Pelor

"He is my god." Xander paused. "I serve no king or queen, no prince or princess. I heal the injured and protect the innocent and the weak. A warrior of good." He nods to Brianna and begins to walk with her.

Lorae

Lorae had stood as Flame called out, but quickly took in the aspect of the man that suddenly appeared through the self same portal they had come through, a Good and Godly man.

She walked to the edge of camp to greet the newcomer. To Xander she was radiant, for the aura about her was that of scintillating light. She was the epitomy of everything that was Eldritch and Elven.

“Greetings, fellow traveler, I am Lorae, an old friend of Brianna’s, ” her voice was melodious. “There is a feast available, if you are hungry, but come sit and tell us your tale and we will tell you ours.”

Feasting

Xander took a step back upon seeing Lorae and bows his head somewhat. "Good tidings. A feast? I am particularily hungry. Thank you miss." The cleric adjusts his pack and the mace at his side. He slings his shield onto his back over his backpack and follows after them.

Zara

"Hi, said a golden haired, half elf teen holding a plate loaded with food, again, "my name's Zara,"

She takes the plate and heads off up the hill, "Go ahead and sit a spell Brianna, I will watch for a while."

Moraglin

Moraglin sit on the edge of her flying carpet with her plate of food. She looked up at the newcomer and watched as he entered the camp. The half-Felani woman took a close look as the man introduced himself then she responded.

"I am Moraglin Sorceress Extraordinaire from Kalos. She gets up and languidly strolls over towards where Xander sat himself down.

The woman who had just spoken to Xander was not human and she was something cat like. Have blended features and face of cat and elf. Tall with a slender figure though rather full hipped and generously endowed other features. When she stood she is tall and graceful moving with a gliding motion. A long figure-hugging gown of deep purple flared full below her hips. Over that a gown was and an outer long sleeved robe with full sleeves draping almost to the ground decorated in fanciful arabesques of gold and silver on an even darker purple that was almost black. It is a gown totally unsuited to the wilderness they were in.

Devon

Devon was talking magic with Zara when he heard the horn sound. He lurched upward from sitting, unfortunately upsetting his plate of food.

Instantly he consentrated on an offensive spell and his hands began to glow.

"I swear by Fate's hand, it never rains but it pours around here!" Devon said out loud.

He then took notice of Lorae's demeanor. She did not appear threatened. Devon trusted Lorae's take on the situation and stood down.

Devon's sight wasn't what it used to be, but he caught sight of a symbol that seemed familiar but couldn't quite make it out from the distance between them. One thing he could tell was that Brianna didn't consider him a threat either or the Amazonian woman would have split him in two with her twin swords. He was still living, so Devon guessed he must be ok.

As Brianna and the Armored man approached, Devon met them half way and introduced himself.

"Sir, I am Devon Worcslayer the sorcerer. I recognize your symbol as good, but I do not know of its signifigance.
What does it mean and why you adorn yourself with it?"

As the others approach or stay where they are, the four of them; the new comer, Brianna and flame, and Devon head to the camp.

"This group is getting quite large. We should get to know each other better, including what adventure we were on before this detour with the portal. It seems more than just a coinsidence that we all wound up in the same place. I would't count out the possiblity of more traffic through that portal either."

He then added under his breath,"Sooner or later, it won't be all good guys either."

Devon

Xander's eye open wide seeing the various different types of people and other things moving about the camp. He takes a few steps forwards, turning to look in one direction then another almost bumping into the people who have spoken to him though he stops in his tracks as Devon speaks.

"I am known as Xander, follower of Pelor. Healer and warrior of good, protector of the weak, destroyer of the undead..." He pauses. "Enough of this prattle. Titles could go on forever with what my god has done. Now, Pelor is a /good/ strong god of healing, strength and of the sun. Probably others as well. As long as none here have any ill or evil intents we should get along just fine. Now do you have any injured? Weak? Sick? Ill? As for this portal, I was examining a ancient ruins for my diety, found some things of interest but not much and I passed through a archway...now I am here wherever here is. I don't know who is even from where I was you see? Simple question and no answer."

Well he is a kind hearted fellow but obviously he's tired, aggrivated, annoyed and unsure of what else to do.
