Appearance: Short, but lanky, with deep black hair and green eyes, carries a staff that he is able to channel energy with, and his familar, a black cat named Hex, is always by his side.

Backstory: From a young age, Edward knew he was different. Growing up in New Orleans, that was saying something. His best friend early on was a voodoo witch named Heloise that appeared to be anything but a voodoo witch. It was her that turned him on to magic, but he shied away from the darkness of voodoo for the more fun (to him) power of fire. After his graduation from college with a degree in Museum Studies, he decided not to become a curator and instead accepted an invitation to the Academy, which had a reputation for training the best and most promising young practitioners of magic. Even though he would be older than most of the entering students, he readily accepted, wanting to know more, to become a true warlock one day. Who knew, that day might be sooner than he thought.

Dawn was always looked down on by her older brother, Jacobi. His magic awakened when he was only 7, but hers finally did at 11. She had control over all elements, like Jacobi. He taught her enough for her to be courted by every witch available. She ran away from her suiters by enrolling at Belway, along with her brother. But she avoided him the instant she met Edward, more out of the fear her brother would hurt him then anything else.

Donald had a bad history. At the age of 13, he was already in trouble with the NYPD. Possession. And the awakening of his magic didn't help. When he realized he had a degree of control over the earth, he began to attempt to use it to grow illegal substances in any patch of soil he found on the streets on New York City. After many arrests and charges, his parents got fed up with it. They threatened to send him away to many different schools, and he was kicked out of them all. When the invitation to Belway came in, he found himself packed up and heading there.
