thread idea

I first got the thread idea when I heard the Stephen Lynch song that pokes fun at dungeons and dragons. If you look him up on Napster, you should be able to find under the title of the game we so very much love.

lets see

Mountain Dew: Ick, no. Ick. Mountain dew is for no. It tastes horrible. I drink Coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

Chips: Again, no. I often do not eat at the tabletop, however, when I do (I prefer not to, I get a little nutty at the thought of food getting on my chara sheet or dice) I often eat Ramen noodles... or cake.

Blacklight: Are you MAD! My dice are dark blue, I'd not be able to see them! let alone the numbers on those beautiful blue monster killers!

Something to get high with: I refuse to game with anyone who gets high before, during, or immediately after a game session. Getting high makes you stupid, and I believe stupid and D&D are bad mixtures.

Still a virgin: Well, I don't have any kids as proof to back it up or anything, but I haven't exactly lived the celibate life.

Pastey: Yes, actually, but that is more because I prefer the look of pale skin (don't ask me why, I just do... and no, I am not goth.)

Pimple Popper: I am blessed with a relatively clear complexion, thankfully.

Avid sci/fi reader, thinks tolkien was a god: Yes to the first, and Tolkien was talented, but not a god.

Pocket Protectors: No. My sense of fashion forbids it.

Glasses: No, but probably will need them eventually.

Comic Books: I enjoy comic books, but do not have many.

Thinks D&D movie was good: Which one, first or second? Cos I found the cleric getting eaten in the second one very amusing, actually.

Doesn't need caffeine for a 48 hour marathon: I need coffee to perform basic cognitive functions. A 48 hour marathon would require an intravenous coffee.

Knows the complete history of 10 or more magic items: Who has the time?

Knows the complete history of at least 3 comic heroes: No, I only know bits and pieces of different comic hero's histories.

Doesn't have pics of babes, has pics of dragons: I am a college student living with friends, and having to pay his own tuition at the moment, without student financial aid. I live on ramen noodles, coffee and ketchup packets, and you think I can afford posters? Yeah right. If I could, babes for the win.

Swords on wall but in hand at end of game: No swords on the wall, even if I had them on the wall, I believe it is a bad idea to allow them in hand at all during a D&D session. They make great decorations, and if you are trained in swordplay (fencing, kendo, medievil swordplay) then they are a great sport and discipline. but NOT during a game.

Went to a Ren fair, voted similar to a dwarf: I am 5'4 and stocky. I may resemble a dwarf superficially, however, I do not suggest saying that openly where I can hear you, as I will then be inclined to find your flaws, and begin to bring you down, probably finding more as you react defensively, and using those in turn.

Started playing at Age 7 and has yet to stop: No, I begun playing D&D at the age of nineteen when a friend invited me into his first edition game.

Has spent more on books in a given year than on a car: No. I love my car, and take excellent care of it.

Keeps spare copies of RP books in the trunk: No, my trunk leaks, and those books are awfully expensive.

Has played D&D in the woods with thunder and lightning, etc. was only afraid DM would kill chara: No.

Has played D&D in an actual haunted house: No.

Been persecuted by jock or anti-nerd group: No, actually, in my school days, I played football for a year, (never happened again due to the damaging effect it had on my GPA) and got along reasonably well with everyone... those I didn't I usually made a point of hurting, I am sorry to say. I had a nasty disposition at the time.

Thinks Sarah michelle gellar and/or david boreanaz are perfect examples of femininity/masculinity: no.

Bored out of my skull...

1. lots of mountain dew (Now and again, I guess... Mate and water was my preference. They are better for the body...)
2. loads of funyuns (I’ve never eaten those before, let alone at D&D...)
3. black light (No...)
4. something to get high with (Not since I moved here...)
5. we're all still virgins (Not since I was sixteen)
6. Computer geek? (That depends...)
7. Dorky- (*Shrugs*)
8. Pastey (No)
9. Pimple Popper- (No longer...)
10. Avid reader of Sci Fi and Fantasy novels and thinks JRR Tolkin was a God (I used to read a lot of fiction... I never recognized Tolkein in anything relevant to deific, however...)
11. Pocket protectors (No)
12. Glasses (My eyes are flawless...)
13. Mounds of comic books (No...)
14. Thinks D&D the movie was good (I didn’t ever see it, I don’t think...)
15. doesn't need caffine to have a 48 game fest non stop (I couldn’t sit still that long...)
16. knows the complete history of more than 10 items in any RPG (What the hell? History?)
17. Knows complete history of at least 3 comic book heroes (I don’t read comic books anymore...)
18.doesn't have posters of babes/hunks on his/her walls, instead has dragons, knights and other fantasy types (Alchemy Gothic adorns my cell walls...)
19. swords on walls while playing but by end of game everyone has one in hand. (The katana always made it into my hands. It was the enforcer, though it was not mine...)
20. went to a renn. fair (No)
21. started playing at age 7 and has yet to stop. (Age thirteen, I think... I don’t keep track anymore...)
22. has spent more on books in a given year then on a car (Get serious.)
23. keeps spare copies of their D&D books in trunk just in case they need them.(That would be expensive. )
24. has played D&D in a woods on a scary with thunder and lightning, etc. night and was only afraid the DM might use this as a chance to kill off their character (No)
25. same as 24 but in real haunted house. (No)
26. Been persecuted by jock or other stereotypically anti-nerd group. (It would become their undoing...)
27. Thinks Sarah Michelle Geller and/or David Boreanaz is the perfect example of feminity/masculinity. (Angel sieging a building is the ultimate act of manliness; beyond that, no. )
