advertising and affiliates

As I'm sure you have noticed, I have made some changes to our affliates buttons above. Namely, I've relocated them lower on the pages (since the other affiliates do this, as well) and replaced the bar with one that takes paid advertising.

Of course, seeing as how we're new to the network, we won't make anything off of it right now, but I'm hoping that will change. My idea for the time being is to take the pennies we make off of advertising and reinvest them in our own ads to drive more traffic here.

I am also seriously looking at our Google ads, since they seem to be less topical of late - and they make almost nothing for us.

we have active ads!

We have active ads, as you can surely see. If you see an ad that looks interesting, please give 'em a click and support our advertisers.

Understand, we do NOT want any sort of click fraud - these ads pay per day, anyway, not per click - but I'm sure they would appreciate it if you give them some love.

omg

Banana Ninja (the fortune cookie ad) is hilarious. I give this my official seal of approval!

I agree wholeheartedly with you there Olan. Banana Ninja's stuff is gold. It's bloody hilarious.

heh

I've enjoyed several of our advertisers. Since I get to pre-appriove what shows, I try to not let garbage through.

Some of the comics aren't necessarily my cup of tea, but all told, the ads are pretty relevant to our audience, I think.

Definitely!

Banana na-na Ninja is pure gold! Has me rolling at least once a week if not more... Also liking the Cucu(cachoo) Celtic Warrior stuff... artwork is pretty fantabulous there.

Three cheers for the new ads and the community appropriate advertisers!

Just noticed...

...Rat Tangent. Had to look...

Thought I'd split one laughing. Reminds me vaguely of "Get Fuzzy" or "Pearls Before Swine".

Rat Tangent is indeed quality - Pearls Before Swine is a nice comparison.
