Hmmm

This is where my lack of knowledge on D&D causes me to pause. Faced with this situation what options do I have to initiate combat? I'd like to charge at this kobold and slice his face off (or at least 3/4ths the way off) but I don't know what the mechanics behind doing something like that would be....

Charge the kobold

Depends on the position of the characters. If there's a clear line between you and he's in range (won't know until a map exists) you can definitely do just that. If you're charging you can only use a basic attack, but I'd imagine you could just move and hit (different from charging, sorry), then you'd have to use one of your attack powers. You know, the at-will, encounter and daily ones. Against one little Kobold, an at-will should suffice.

yes

I will say now that you can easily move right up to him with a move action, and then use your standard to twin strike or hit and run.

That would be a decent idea. Basic, but decent.

I just worked a 12 hour shift and have to wake up in 6 hours to do another 12... then repeat. So chances are that map won't be ready until Sunday.

For planning purposes assume everyone can make it to the lone kobold with a single move action (even you gboy, since you're in front.)

Although chances are only Tus Lased will be able to get behind him (8 speed) and even then will probably take an attack of opportunity. I don't see why him and gboy couldn't set up a flank though on the first turn.

sorry

I'm sorry I haven't posted sooner, I've been busy with some personal stuff, but I'll try to post something while I have some down time.

nope

Haven't really heard from anyone else, sorry. I hate to say it, but it looks like this game may have fizzled, we'll have to wait and see though.

Guns blazin

Sorry I've let things fall out... I've been unsure how to proceed which is why I was wanting to learn. I posted my intents in the thread... I guess from here on out I won't worry as much about doing the RIGHT thing, and will instead focus on doing anything at all.

If the thread dies waiting for me to watch and learn, it'll be a worse fate than learning through mistakes!

sorry guys

I know this is probably the last thing this game needed, but I'm going to have to withdraw. Details can be found in my thread in comings and goings title Hiatus.
