As many of you have noticed we have just published our first newsletter.

We appologize if you have gotten it more than once, or not at all yet, but the word from above is that some technical difficulties were seen and it is being worked out. We will be adding a link on this glorious website asap for those of you having difficulties opening said newsletter.

That being said, I do hope you all enjoy it.

I, the editor, am putting up this thread so that you can comment on this issue and pose your suggestions for future issues. (You can always send a PM to me or another staff member too if you'd rather )

Oh... and I know I said it before but I'm going to say it again, thanks a million to everyone who helped this first one come into existance.

Note to those of you who have received the first issue of thise fine publication but can't get it to open after downloading the attached pdf - if this happens, just hit the link in the e-mail notification Newsletter link and you should get it to open just fine. It's worth the effort, I promise.

Great work, Meri! Thanks for all the hard work you put into this... Printed mine and hung it up in my cubicle... got three guys at the office who've already read through it.

For whatever reason Google has seen fit to disable my email account, so not only am I missing out on the newsletter, but several important emails from previous and prospective employers that I had asked to contact me via email. Needless to say I am rather peeved and unhappy..

And I didn't even brush my teeth first...

That does suck, Wolf... I mean, we can always get you the newsletter but missing e-mails from potential employers...

I had some issues with sending out 1600 copies of a 1 megabyte file attachment. My sript kept timing out, and I was getting some false positives in the error report. Everyone should have a copy now (check your spam filters if you don't)... if you got seven or ten copies, I sincerely aplogize... it won't happen again!

I would like to include a 'Creative Corner' in the next issue of the RDInnsider which will highlight a creative endeavor of one of our members.

I'm looking for poetry, prose, art... or anything else that you can think of that would fit with what we do and the word 'creative'

To submit your work either PM it to me or send it to my email [email protected]. The staff will be determining which submission to highlight for each issue.

The deadline for submissions will be January 15th.

OMG love the newsletter meri, nicely done. would suggest making it five pages or so but still perfect

I got about 4 copies, and they all look good

I haven't read through them yet, since I have an exam in about 1 and a 1/2 hours (last one this semester, YEAH!) so I haven't got the time to read the newsletter completely.

I'll see if I have time after the exam, if I somehow can't buy the whole bunch of books I was going to celebrate the end of exams with

It's like four pages... read it before the book.

And yes next edition should be longer if I can get everything done on it that I want to get done on it.

You know things like including more work by all of you lovely people

After a few sips and a time to breath Kyle Westhelm calms. “You see good Lady, I have ideas and suggestions for articles, but I would feel foolish and it would be wrong for me to step forward with such ideas if they are already in print. Also why should I give thought if I can not see what my thoughts invoke.”

I am currently in the realm of the evil dark overlord of Work (I am at work) and the scribe here gives me the same thing, (the laptop says the same as above but it is old Win 9. When I return to my own place I will see what my scribe (my computer) can do with the scroll (the link above) that the good Eol has sent me. Until then I lurk hehe.
