D&D 3.5 Game

Hello out there all you Dungeon's and Dragon's players, I plan on starting up a game for a five player party. You can use any book as long as it's been printed by WoTC for 3.5 edition. You will need a Myth-Weavers account as well as OpenRPG (I recommend Traipse ORPG). If you need help getting these, I will be glad to help you out. If interested in joining, just message me or post here. The games will be held whenever is most convienient for all players. I would like to have a diverse range of races and classes, so those with unique tastes are welcome. I hope to see all sorts of interested players soon.

Myth-Weavers

For character sheets. It's the easiest method for all the members to inter-changably view each party member's character sheets. As well as giving me a defined way of making sure things are kept legal.

Guidelines? Campaign Concept?

What sort of character creation guidelines? Level for instance? Conventions for determining ability scores? What sort of campaign is it going to be? The more information the better.

I agree

Steelight is asking the right sort of questions, if you give us some idea of the world we'll be playing in (as well as circumstances our diverse range of races and classes will meet under) and information on character generation.

I have a few fun (fun for me ) ideas in my head but it depends on character creation. Most of my ideas involve starting with our characters at level 3.

EDIT: Define 'legal' in terms of character creation, and why can't we just submit character sheets using Bromern Sal's v3.5 Excel Character Sheet?

Just trust us to keep to your character creation guidelines and then deal with having multiple character sheets you need to look at, we all have to do it.

guidelines.

As for character creation guidelines, I believe I'll work along the lines of lv 5's. Your ability scores are based on a 32 point buy. No Gestalts. The setting is Faerun. Spellcasters will have a spellpoint system that will be described more in depth once determined as to how many spellcasters we have. Multiclassing is okay, and no penalties will be taken as usual. For most reason, there are no other restrictions, but please keep level adjustments in mind. Oh, and don't worry about EXP, you'll level when I feel is appropriate. As for gold, HD, and the like, use the standard for your race and class. This is my first time DMing a 3.5e game. In past I have easily DMed for 4e, and played in many 3.5 so this is my debut so bare with me if you'd please. Also, please use Myth-Weavers. It's what I know and am used to, it's easy and quite well organized.

For those of you who may be interested, this is a favorite little guide of useful items I like. http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=350.0

Right

Information.

Now we have it I think I'd like to be the first to say 'Halfling Sorcerer'

You better explain the spell point system otherwise it could delay me finishing my character.

EDIT: Have to ask, are there any alignment restrictions according to class? Can a sorcerer be Neutral Good for instance? (not that I pay much attention to alignments normally but in this game I will pay my alignment )

EDIT 2: I will play my alignment properly as well, chaotic doesn't mean he will do anything, it means he will not conform to the laws of society and whirl he will not do anything outside of his good allignment he will go out of his way to mock or even break laws or the social norm.

More explaination.

Alignment has normal restrictions and most rules are going to stick to RAW requirments. Such as Paladin's are required to be lawful and Asamirs are to be good. As for the spell point system will be the Unearthed Arcana Spellpoint System. Counting Loki, James, and Haik I have three party slots taken up. I have two remaining for any of you interested in joining. Back to the alignment- I will change your alignment depending on the choices you make. In other words, if a Lawful Good character breaks into somewhere and kills the person, they will no longer be Lawful Good Oh and if you have a high intelligence but act like a complete idiot, you may bet a few points knocked off your Ability scores, just to keep things within reason. For those of you interested in joining, please PM me your character sheets Myth-weaver's link and I'll speak with you on what would be a good day of the week to host the game for you. My Saturday and Sunday nights are taken from my DMing 4e and Haik's 3.5 game on Sunday. But Monday-Friday are all good.

Edit: One more thing, I would like a physical description and at least a standard paragraph's worth of back story.
