well

Graphic novel ... in my dreams!

BTW- I never thought that Sam would go into the bank. I thought you'd stop Brigit from going in and wait to see what was going to happen.

Oh, but that ruttin' hurt!

So, here I am, eating chicken noodle soup for my poor, sick soul, when I come across this line.

"Wyatt shooting Ludlow between the eyes...

Good times... good times..."

Laughted so hard, I shot a noodle through my nose.

Whew! I laughed! I cried! It was better than Evil Dead: The Musical.

Noodle nose!

LMAO

Okay, that was a great visual... Ludlow gets shot, Sung lookin' like he's all serious, the Kid laughin' and shootin' a noodle out his nose... Mommy! Make the bad man stop!

You didn't think Sam would go into the bank? C'mon... he was 'on a mission'... let's get the crew paid and Sam laid, as it were... Ya put someone as looks like Brigit in front of ol' Dash an' it's a lot like danglin a carrot in front of a jackass. She sashays into the bank an' Dash follows.

Seriously, though, Sam went in because he figgered to be in and out in two shakes (was just supposed to be a transfer, after all... how long could that take, right?)... Ludlow's gang made him twitchy... need of $$$ (and an eyeful of yumilicious schoolmarm) made him stoopid.

Unsure

Do you really need a post from Wolf as all I see him doing unless Wyatt orders him to do something is staying on the couch healing or sleeping or just being lazy.

Ok just read Blammms post I will of course hand over the Uzi and show him that I do have a hand gun and my room sweeper shotgun. Though I would like a Uzi of my own someday.

Oh and Eol whatever happened to that pic of Wolf, if you have the time lets change it to a Vin Diesal pic.

Vin Diesel???

There is plenty that Wolf could be doing. The wound will take a short time to be cleansed and healed. During that time time you will be in the OR with Sam attached to the knitter and Morgan on the medcomp. You could chat with the doc, or ask questions that Wolf would ask (what does this do? this? A laser saw? Can it ...aagh! I just cut off my leg doc!).

If you'd like to bypass the wound scene, then there is the mule that needs fixing. As well, you are the only member of the crew that is not "attached" to Rocinante yet by Alliance records so you could mosey into town and see what's going on. You could ask your captain what he'd like you to do.

You are also a hacker type and the Doctor has a fully operational cortex terminal (think computer with universe wide internet) with a wide screen. Might be able to help the captain dig up some dirt on selected people, places, things, etc. Easedrop on the alliance frequencies, scramble some codes to confuse the blockade ships, flood the wave transmitters with cortex porn, play Grand Theft Transport XXVII-Capital City etc etc etc.

Lazy is not listed on your sheet as a complication. You are supposedly overconfident, hate alliance officers and branded as a jailbird - no lazy there.

LMAO @ Grand theft Transport XXVII

I wanna play!

If nothin' else, Wolfy, ya c'n always run back ta Roc an' fetch ol' Sam a new shirt... seein' as how I done went an' got one o' my all time favorites punched full o' holes by tusslin' wit' them lowlives ('Course, havin' Willow cut the thing off made it worth the while)!

Hell, ya might even manage to find a clean one.

A few notes

I would like to advance Roc forward this holiday weekend to the point of the Ice being picked up by the miners at night. It is currently about 3:30 pm planetside, and it will be dark by 9:00 pm (which is when the miners will arrive).

So please let me in on any plans you have between those times for sneaking about or surfing the cortex or whatever. Post here or in the game (game preferred)so I can start rolling dice and drinking whiskey.

I am sure you are all aware but just to refresh:

1) You have not been paid for this job.
2) The people picking up the Ice won't know you have not been paid.
3) Your method of payment is currently fried as Sander's chicken.(another thing that Wolf might want to do - go back to bank and see what happened and how dirtback robbers got into a vault so quickly)
3) You will need to keep a low profile for awhile in case there are alliance moles/sympathizers among the townies.
4) Sam is laid up for the night but will be conscious soon (about two hours). The knitter will finish its work around midnight (assuming Sam doesn't move around alot. If he does, the machine will tell him in a feminine, but mechanical voice - "please stay still, it is necessary for proper healing that there is as little motion as possible" and then repeat in mandarin.)

Nice work!

That's a sweet model, Eol. I've never used that program. I use Hash's Animation Master for modeling (and since I haven't done any video game work in years, I am real rusty).

As far as sneakin' about and such: Wyatt will likely see if he can't use the Doc's system to line up some work in his spare time. He'll not wait until dark to check on JW and his misses. I'm not about to part with the ice until payment is in hand--and Ma has the ship locked up tight so no one is about to get the ice without permission.

Given the situation, Wyatt might try to track down JW to get some questions answered if he feels he can leave Sam and take Willow and Asher with him. But that depends on whether JW decides to show up before dark.

Either way, he'll likely check on Sam at one point or another.

locked up

You own a Firefly - there is no locked up tight, not even in space. One of your ship's flaw is "everyone got one" which means everyone knows how to override the locks, the hatches etc.

Think about how often Serenity got boarded....

Oh .. don't forget There are two wave messages waiting on the ship, one for Willow (coded) and one for Sam (double matrix coded with a sig key link).

Looks like we best be movin' on then, huh...

I'd say we've got our work cut out for us.

THINGS TO DO LIST
Sam get better
Wolf get better
Sam read his email
Willow read her email
Wolf figure out how the robbers got in to vault
Wyatt find us some more work
Wyatt hook up with JW to make sure we be gettin paid
Willow meet with Grandpa Tong
Sam bed Brigit (maybe while Wyatt's got JW distracted)
Wolf fix mule
Sam buy new mesh vest, and maybe some new shirts
Wyatt get hat repaired
Willow get new clothes
Wolf buy uzi
Wolf hack into Alliance communications to eavesdrop
Ma cook supper

That leaves the kid with little else to do but pop up some popcorn and put in a holovid!

jk... while Asher is all about taken orders, Blammm's suggestion is to hook up with JW first, see how stuff with the Alliance went, negotiate with him how we're getting paid, and little Miss Brigit know Sam's gonna be alright. Don't know if that requires all of us. I might suggest Wyatt, Willow, and Wolf go together. Wyatt and Willow are the negotiator, Wolf is good with the electronic transfers and, like Alacrity suggested, might be able to figure out what went down at the bank. That, and Wolf's local.

Asher could hang back at the Doc's and work on fixing the mule and waiting for Sam to "wake up"... though he doesn't have to. He'll be just as glad to come along for "public relations" purposes.

After hittin' up JW, a visit to the Tongs might be in order. Asher could accompany Willow for the meet, while Wyatt and Wolf oversee the transfer of ICE back at the ship. Perhaps, after the meet, if Sam is well enough, Willow and Asher could escort him home.

Finding out what the waves to Willow and Sam say would be third on my list. Hopefully, some new leads show up there, else we look for work dirt side the next day... along with doing some shopping. (ballistic vest, uzi, hat, shirts, food stuffs, etc)

Those are my thoughts.

Yeee-haw! Updates!

I luvs me some updates!

Working up a post for no other reason than I just can't imagine Dash 'just laying there' continuously unconscious for the next several hours (unless, of course, the GM and/or the Docs have got him so heavily doped that there'd be no other choice). The way I figured it was that Dash would wake up (chased into wakefulness by the dreams/nightmares he's been having) and maybe freak out just a bit before realizing that he's actually more or less in a 'safe place,' etc... Basically, just a "Holy crap, where am I and what the $#%#@!* is goin' on 'round here," kind of thing... I don't figure he'll disobey orders and try to get free of the bone knitter until it's finished.

Just have one question, though, I don't suppose the answer is too awful critical... Just a curiosity more than anything else... Assuming things go well and Dash manages to get off the slab and back in motion would he be able to check his wave from the Doc's place or would that only be accessible from Rocinante... I seriously doubt that he'd check his 'mail' from any place other that the safety of the ship but if Cap, the Kid, an' Miss Will are gonna be galivantin' about town for a fair spell... *shrug*

get up

Sam can awake up and be aware of his surrounding. I believe I sent you a pm about what he is strapped to at the moment.

Waves .... Cathy asked me the same thing. The way I figure it, these are just like emails. They are not person to person so you do not have to be on the ship. You could use the Doc's set up to access the message.

However:
1) Wyatt hasn't mentioned the messages to anyone.
2) if you access the message from a cortex terminal without a black box on it, and a good BB, then others can grab the signal if they know how and when.

What I'm bring and what I'm leaving...

Asher will leave the JA assault rifle, the box of concussion grenades, and an uzi behind at the Doc's home.

The Kid will take his Peacekeepers (fully loaded), plus the two used clips (I think he's shot off 5 bullets). In the athletic bag he'll take one of the uzis and an extra clip and two of the flashbang grenades. The rest of the boxof flashbangs will stay at the Doc's house too.
