Yup...

...it's a gut turner and a mind bender, all right.

Dash right there in the middle of it when, at the moment, he'd like to be "out of sight and at range" with the sniper rifle that he so conveniently left on the boat... gorramit!!!

Question

I think as I read Eol's and Roger's posts that both of you are under the misconception that I'm holding my SMG pistols in hand.

In reality they are still holstered but the safety snaps are off for quicker drawing or am I reading the posts wrong instead??

Have a post in mind for tonight but need clarifaction so I can plan my response

Answer...

Nope... I hadn't perceived that Wolf had drawn his weapons, just that he'd "freed them up," as you said... As twitchy as Sam is, he'd have noticed, I'm sure... and as obviously anxious as the Sheriff is to fill someone's butt full of lead, I figured Sam'd probably have mentioned it to Wolf a la "button down (as in the safety straps) and saddle up."

Ku?

Afterthought... Now that I think of it, I hope Sam don't get himself shot for what he said as itchy as our beloved lawman is... *crosses fingers*

no.

In my post the sheriff refers to you unsnapping your smg, not bringing them out. In fact he says rack and pin them, which is a reference to re-snapping the holsters. Although you have not brough them out, unsnapping a weapon is a sign that you plan to use them if necessary. Is the sheriff jumping the gun? Probably but he's had a bad day and might see rubbing your nose as brandishing a incendiary device right now.

Ok then I missread

When the Sheriff said "rack and pin them" I took that to mean that Alacrity thought I had them in hand.

So no harm done I just refrased my post and posted it.
Lets see if I get my wish

Indeed...

... for the record, Wolf's "I don't care" response to Sam's "concern" for innocents getting hurt would probably have garnered a raised brow and a scowl from Sam... Although he was already scowling, I s'pose, so it might've been missed...

More for Dash to think about on his stroll back to the boat, I reckon.

Nope I got a complaint

I did not say my statement to Pearson load enough for the sheriff or anyone else to hear. Case in point my wording from my post.

Seeing that they would need the mule to carry the body back to the Rocinante Wolf turned back towards the passenger filled carrier, pausing only long enough to pass on some (low voiced advice) to Pearson
So he would not of heard me make it unless he was standing right next to me.
