Yo

First of all: Welcome to the team, RP Noob.

Second: I opted that we go for the generators first. The reasoning is this: until we find the two items, a lot more monsters will be flooding the castle if the rift is still open. First you fix the dam, then you see how you keep it from ever opening again.

Sounds good?

monsters

The reappearance of Mr. Tentacles is mostly to give Brutal a heroic death. So don't read too much into it.

Yeah

Telling us kind of ruins the surprise.

I dont know, I think killing him in a heroic manner is sort of fitting. JMHO.

Going down...........

It sounds like we should go in the lower level of the castle, that way we can also rescue RPN.

I've been looking at the map and trying to figure which way leads to the lower levels. I think the spiral stair by the armor goes down, which other ones go down?

If I remember we need to destroy the book to stop the creepies. Destroying the generators probably won't close the rift, they only helped the magic of the book open it. Now it's open and we need to get rid of the book to close it. Seems the book is in the library in the upper levels, but RPN is lower.

Oh and my idea of the heroic exit is being sure everyone escapes first. Roger, you can play Brutal NPC all the way to the final escape, and then maybe even beyond, no reason he can't be evaced out and sent home the wounded HERO!!!!!

well

Please remember that Al gave us the map just as a reference to where we are now. He asked us not to meta-map... in other words, no looking beyond where we are at this moment.

We should let the decision on where to go depend on what we see in the entrance hall.

May not have that kind of time

We need to make a choice quick before the bridge creature gets lucky and nabs one of us. I would really like not to waste ammo trying to kill it if we don't have too. As I see it we have 3 choices.

1): To the East directly before us, the set of slightly ajar double doors.

2): A little to the South then East, the circular stairwell.

3): And lastly the staircase to the North where the German man came from.

Also as I can find no referance by Alacrity about the double doors to the West, across from the circular staircase, to this point so I assume they are not really there even though they are on the map.

Your call Captain............

stairs

I say we check all the doors first, for two reasons:

1) perhaps there is something important behind them, if not just to know a bit more about the layout of the castle.

2) if there are monsters behind them, we might come back to the entrance hall later to find it filled with evil demons. Better deal with them now.

Then we head up the stairs. Reason is that the electrician guy came from there. My guts tell me to find the lower levels, but this is a good lead. We don't have any other.

Great we're talking.....

Well seeing that Al has been playing for Van I hoped through her and her knowledge of the castle it could enhance our choices as to how to get to the lower levels. But the recon is the natural thing to do. I would guess we wouldn't want to cross the open floor to the bronze doors, the tenticles could reach out through the room. Going to our left toward the alcove with armor seems more logical.

If we can also figure out more about the ley line, the point of intersection could be the rift.

As i see it there are three objectives. (In no order)

1. Find the book. (May be in library)
2. Find the Stone. (Most likely on the German Officer Metzger)
3. Find RPN. (In dungeon cell?)

We can't destroy what we can't find.

Movie wise don't you always free your guys first.

I have moved the game forward. As everyone is fond of Brutal I decide to keep him in the game.

BTW - what is an SSG and where does it fit into American Military ranks? I am not familiar with the term?

When you met up with Max, I assume that you will recognize him as part of the team as you did train together. Definitely Luke and Romo would know of him.

Stuff

Glad you kept Brutal Alive, dying by falling rock is not very heroic I see him going out in a blaze of glory, firing all guns and saving the groups life somehow. That is Heroic! But we could use the firepower for now.

SSG is short for Staff Sergeant. Romo is a Master Sergeant I believe so he still is the ranking enlisted. Don’t want that responsibility. I’m the ‘blow-em-up” guy!

Yes I believe he was part of the team so they should know him even though he would have probably been thought lost in the crash.

Now to posting. Time for some heroics!
