Shaman Deity Atira the Mother Goddess

At this time your Shaman possesses neither of the artifacts!

The bow is only granted to hunt food when your people (or people you want to help) are starving and need food.

Only used for hunting game and will not work against Humanoids (orcs, goblins, evil humans etc)

The Quarterstaff has not been found yet, but somewhere along the way during the course of the adventure it will be found and granted to you to fight evil.

Some characters already will have an artifact or other ability granted from their deity, while others will have to get theirs at some unexpected moment during the adventure!

Map Copies?

Has everyone received a copy of the "bird's eye view" Map of New Aenochia and beyond that I Emailed to everyone?

Everyone making progress with their History/Backstory?

I am working on a couple of game posts for once the game gets underway past our history/backstory posts!

Check In

I got the map!
I am working on my character background, but it is slow going. I hope you are planning on being here for the long haul, as the front-end investment feels huge.

Anyway, I got the Saturday deadline in sight! Looking forward to getting started!

Yes ...

..... I am in for the LONG HAUL

Am currently working on a couple future posts as the Castle Keeper and have to wait on the Players getting their histories and backstories posted before I can post the one that is almost ready now!

I believe we have a good group gathered for this one!

Got map, will travel

Got the map.

Working on the story. As usual with my intros, it is starting to get long . . . . may have to tweak it a bit. But at least it appears that half-orcs can be interesting well-rounded characters!

Lengthy Intros

From the feedback I have gotten from half the players they already have 3 or 4 pages typed and still have to finish them (editing at their discretion!)

I suggested to one person that if they cut out any of their original backstory, they could easily use that info for a flash back memory during the course of the adventure!

Looking forward to everyone's contribution!

Creative Juices Flowing

I have really enjoyed reading the Rogue and Barbarian posts from Luthor and Nomad D2.

Since malek04 was forced by RL to bow out, I am currently working on the backstory for the Dwarf Cleric.

Gandalf the Smooth will be submitting his story in a couple days [he lost almost 2 pages that he was certain was saved on his laptop!]

I am certain that Brianna is creating another great backstory and character as she is famous for here at the Inn and will be well worth waiting for with great anticipation!

Ayrn is working on his as is Odyson.

Meanwhile, I am also cultivating the storyline and plot from Botkinburg that launches us into the unknown!

Plus a few of my infamous heiroglyphic maps to include from time to time for comedy relief and to give players an idea of where they are heading to!

Soon the Lurkers will have something more to feast their eyes upon and slake there thirst for adventure!

But who is he?

I feel like such a slacker. I've got about a half a page and geeze you all seem to be going for War and Peace, lol. I keep going back and forth between the Recruitment, the Q&A and the Story to try to keep my facts straight. I find the story flows once my Character has a name. I've changed name three times so far. But never fear there will be something soon. If there is not an objection I may expand and clarify it a bit after the initial post. What sounds good one doesn't make sense when i read it later. Ok, so i'll quit this spree and get back to the Shaman.

Flashback Writing ...

..... is always a great way to develop your character during the course of the adventure!

The way I write I think about something a couple of days and then I sit down and write away!

You will do just fine Ody!

Enjoyed the Post Odyson

Took me a while to read your post as I was posting elsewhere and am ripping some teaching CDs onto my laptop for when I am travelling!

Now we just need Brianna, Ayrn and Gandalf the Smooth to post their character backstories and histories.

When they do I will tweak what I have written already and then post to the game so we can get underway!

GtS is a friend of mine and he will get his done by the weekend. He lost 2 pages of his post and was thinking he had until Sunday to post his character.

We are NOT many days away from starting this adventure!

Rhiannon questions

I need to know where on your world is the northern grass plains wither on this continent or another. Is there shipping from one continent to another. Is there slavery anywhere? I need to know where I can have my Amazon lands they are semi nomads having winter quarters, and summer quarters. also are the monks monasteries scattered about the lands to in one place more particular or another. I need this information to add to my history.

Utilizing the Map

At this point in time the only known continent is what is on the map, including the Isle of Ionus south of Barachia.

If you would like, they could migrate from the Galen Valley via a secret pass between the Nicoleigh Hills and the Red Hills to the far west or northwest on the map.

The main source of slavery has been from the region of Aufstrag as the minions of the Horned One have gone south and west to pillage, rape, destroy and enslave the peoples they encounter.

That was a main focus of the Winter Dark Wars when the minions of Aufstrag and the Horned One sought to enslave and conquer all in their path.

You can note the Blighted Screed, the Black Tooth and Stone Ridges and Aufstrag to the north and east of the Pete Bogs.

Humans, Elves, Dwarves and other races and mixtures fought for their freedoms against the minions of Aufstrag.

There is free trade throughout the continent and the Isle to the south and perhaps there are pockets of slavery scattered about, but by and large the races and cultures have fought for their freedoms.

As for the Monks and their monastary way of life, let us say there are 3 main concentrations of Monks, although some may have migrated elsewhere to develop their own orders or just to have a way of life in the forests or mountains of the continent.

Those 3 cities would be Barachia, Dundador Castle and Conrad City on the Isle of Ionus.

Several Monks have probably migrated to Ratsdorf and possibly Gunz in more primitive surroundings as compared to the main 3 locations.

Heimstadt has pretty much rejected any migration of Monks as the ruling fathers are more focused on emulating Asperdi and Ascalon where the Empress Pryzmira reigns.

Heimstadt and Barachia are competitive against each other economically etc; so the idea of tolerating the housing of Monks in Heimstat the way Barachia openly welcomes the Monks is totally rejected by the merchants there as Heimstadt is building itself up as a tourist region with the two lakes nearby.

Further Note There is trade by shipping all along the waterways of the various rivers and the coastlines of the seas and the Isle of Ionus.
