Camelot City is in need of heroes (and locations)

A few days ago I decided to write down a campaign setting for Mutants & Masterminds that has been in my head for a while now. I'm not sure why I decided to start writing it down, but after I started I decided I might as well do it properly and even publish it when it is finished. If it does well I might even do something more with it. On the other hand, this is a lot of work for just one guy and so I decided to seek help.

You don't actually need to know anything about Mutants & Masterminds because the sort of help I need involves only background. The thing is that I need a selection of heroes/villains to populate the setting. Stats will be done seperately (preferably by the same person to avoid differences) so there is no need to focus on that part. I am also looking for any interesting location that I can add to the setting to make it more fun. All I need is a name and some background (two or three paragraphs) that I can add to the setting. A clear concept is a must, but a character won't need a description (I will look for an artist or two to do some works for the book).

Everything written must be in English with as little mistakes as possible. If needed, I will make some minor changes (location, background characters' names or the like) so that the hero/villain can better fit into the setting, but i won't do that without your specific permission first. If your character or location makes it to the final version of the setting when it gets published, you will get paid for your work.
All characters and locations are welcome, but keep in mind that there is not endless room.

If you need to know, Mutants & Masterminds is a modified d20 system that focuses on playing superheroes. However, the system is broad enough to allow almost any kind of character. M&M 3rd edition is about to be published and a preview of that edition has already been published in DC Adventures Handbook.

And a little preview into the setting:
Camelot City is a heroic city and the primary focus of the campaign setting. The setting is built on the premise that some stories are true, most notably the story about King Arthur and the knights of the round table. Although there are many superheroes and -villains in this setting, magic and fairies also play a big part.

bump

Bump

(also, this thread might have been a better fit for the spamvertise forum, but I wasn't sure. Feel free to move it if that is the case. Finally, since I think a simple bump is not enough for a reply, I have decided to ramble on. ramble, ramble, ramble, ramble, ramble, ramble, ramble, ramble, ramble, ramble, ramble... Did I mention I woke up early and had a coffee? I probably shouldn't have done that...)

I think...

...it's okay, here, Skari. It's more of a "request for assistance" than "spamvertizing" I think.

Also, I read this one when you first tacked it up and, as I've been pondering since then, my mind has run in a number of directions with a number of possibilities where this particular setting is concerned... The concept leaves it wiiide open, really... I mean, a Camelot City should have some kind of consortium (be it a super-hero team, corporate/gov't entity, or whatever) called "The Round Table," shouldn't it?

How about Avalon Park?

A hero known as Excalibur, perhaps (Marvel's already done the Excalibur "team" thing)?

Soooo many possibilities... If i manage to solidify any one thing as I continue to ponder, I'll be sure and let you know.

heh

Oddly enough, you called it. I am already close to finish the super-hero team called the Knights of the Round Table (or just Knights when referring to the heroes, or just the Round Table when referring to the team).

Avalon actually exists as well, and King Arthur went there to rest until he would be needed again.

There is no hero called Excalibur since the sword actually exists and in use.

If you like to do some more pondering, I can send you a link to the short version of the setting's history

Absolutely...

...send away!

As I said, after I first read this I couldn't keep my brain from cycling back to it and pulling piece-after-piece of idea and inspiration from the concept... I'm sure more info would just encourage my brain to flip into overdrive.

Got the info...

...and am reviewing, now.

Hope to have some "fleshed out" ideas to you in the very near future.

Cool

I'm currently stuck (writing about locations outside Camelot City) at the moment, so I will be glad to get some outside ideas to take my mind off it
