Obituaries

Talibos Carver died May 15, 2010 at 9:35pm central time tonight from mortal wounds inflicted by a Rakshasa. Thanks to a spell that allows communication with the dead, Johnny Rayblade, one of the dead party members, Talibos was the last of the party standing, against this epic foe no one stood a chance. Another of the party, the cleric Faylea, is quoted as saying under the same spell, "If his chest were a cannon he would have fired his heart upon the beast."

The last words of Talibos were,"From Hell's heart I stab at thee, for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee!"

His last moments were spent in flight dropping Acid Splash spells which was the only thing he had left to get past the Rakshasa's Spell resistance short of standing toe to toe with it. The Rakshasa cast fly on himself, was able to out manuver Talibos and dealt the finishing blows that brought the dragon deciple down.

He is survived by his Adoptive parents Donald and Elizibeth Carver and the inhabitants of the Valley of Brass dragons including his master and distant brother, Talas Pyrestrider.

Use of this Thread

As demonstrated above, this thread is to provide creative release, and closure for your favorite departed Characters. Whether it be in the form of Eulogy, Epitaph, or Obituary, it would be cool to show the hard work and care taken in running your character right to the end.

A tale of a promising life cut short

Cieala, no last name nor pronunciation guide given, was found dead in the forest, apparently sacrificed by a group of mothmen to the giant ooze creature that they worship as a deity--no wait, it says she survived that. Died in a field littered with the bodies of dozens of mindless undead, apparently from the breath weapon of an ancient black dragon with which she had been arguing--or no, apparently that encounter, too, was survived. Found dead stripped of her weapons in a secluded temple filled with monstrously oversized breeds of spiders--no? She survived that too? Then what did kill this girl? Oh.

Cieala vanished mysteriously when the game she had been living in up to that point suffered critical existential failure. Contrary to the the adventures indicated above, she was only ECL 6 when she died, an Charismatic Hero aspiring to develop her psychic talents into the powers of a Telepath. She is probably not survived by her brother who was with her at the time and a third person, friend of the aasimar twins, when she vanished. I suppose really this obituary is about all of them.

Cieala was always known for her bright and upbeat personality, always very kind and forgiving of others (except that jerk of a black dragon) and spent many hours working for the charity group known only as the Hands of Faith. A park resident homeless man who knew her reported that he would always remember the angel carrying an umbrella who came to him for information concerning report of violence in the area and whose companions helped her to slay a rogue demon running loose in the area with the sword contained within her umbrella. This was, of course, right before he was erased along with the rest of the world he resided in.

Despite having survived more than her share of dangerous encounters, it is most tragic that she should fall victim to the great equalizer of PC's that is game decay.

Here lies Gruhmbar...

The greatest Hobgoblin fighter ever known to walk the land. Overthrower of tyrants and ruler of Darguun itself, Gruhmbar fought side by side with his partner, Dorn the Warforged Barbarian, but decided to stay behind and lead his nation into another step of greatness. His downfall began when demons waged an all out war upon the lands of the mortals and tearing the lands asunder, Gruhmbar fought vigorously to save his nation. Eventually he was captured and on account of his great ties to his partner Dorn, was tortured and his soul torn from his body to power mighty engines of destruction for the demon host. Later, Dorn and his living saint Lheriel Gherrian would save the soul of gruhmbar and return it to his body for a final burial, as the body and mind was too torn and beaten to breathe life once more.
