Knitting the Group Together

Okay Gang

I am Not trying to hijack the game thread by trying to get Brokkrok to become leader of the group!

That being said, what I am working on is some way to draw everybody together so we can all interact and feed off the life and energy that each Player and their Character brings into this adventure!

Brokkrok has some issues stemming from the deaths of the Stalwart Warriors who were under his command when they went to rescue the 3 kidnapped Khord children.

Hopefully my last game entry was enough to bring this out to the group (have to wait and see what Almerin posts?)

I have a couple of ideas for my character to get some interaction with the other characters, but I have to wait and see what Almerin posts before going any further with any of my ideas.

I do understand that the nature of this current scenario does put Brokkrok into somewhat of a leadership role (since he sent a message to Geron asking for his help).

But depending upon how Almerin advances the story with his next Update and what I have in mind for my character ... may very well prove out Brokkrok may Not be the most stable person in the Horse Stall to be leading this group anywhere!

We Shall See ...

heh

I updated the game just now. Also put up the Map of Sedostra on the first page of this Q/A. Go check it out!

Also, I'm not sure Brokkrok is a leader character in this adventure. I think he has a bit more affinity with this particular story, and is better at home in this setting since he spent some more time in Sedostra already.
Apart from that, it's a group effort from now on, and I think you guys will do well with each other.

Again, if there are any questions that will help you to better form your posts, put them here.

ugh

Just lost my most recent post. It was only a page so I can rewrite it later, but ARRRGGHGHGHGH

I vote we go back to the "inn" and sleep. Glitch wants to do some research on undead and re-prepare his spells before we assault a graveyard.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm

I have to write up an appropriate post, but Brokkrok probably takes a long hard look at the group and decides it would be best for all to return to the Inn (as Admiral suggests) to better prepare for the morning.

Besides, this gives the group a good opportunity to interact with one another and do a bit of 'bonding' together to make their survival instincts encompass the good of the group.

This allows time to develop some ideas and for Brokkrok to get to know his 'helpers' better.

Also glad that Lady Dark's dog is doing okay!

Collab Post

Lady Dark,

I'd be interested, though I've never done one before.

I've been thinking about the type of relationship Aly would have with Arra. I thought it would be humorous if Aidan (Aly's dog companion) was always a bit unease around Arra, but Aly really liked Arra, found her fasinating and beautiful/exotic.

I figure since our characters share a room, we should have lots of stuff to post about.

Let me know... and if you are interested, go ahead and take the lead. Like I said, I'm a virgin in the realm of collab posts.

Thanks!
Ayrn

Question

If Brokkrok goes ahead and casts a Detect Undead Spell in the direction of the cemetary will such an action cause any Undead to retaliate?

I do realize that Admiral has voted to return to the Guesthouse to renew his spells and do some study.

Been thinking about writing up a post but there is not much input from the players to go by at this present time.

well

You have to realize that this was a once a week posting game, with updates on Monday. My update was yesterday, and people don't always have time to react immediately.

Give people a bit more time to post. I know you're itching, hehe. But maybe you can focus on your own Audalis game as long as there is nothing to update here? I referred a new player to that upcoming game. Wonder if you'll hear from him. Went by the handle of Shining Orb.

detect undead

Detect Undead attempt: You can do this, but you should weigh the consequences. If you do find an undead aura nearby, will you go investigate, or will you be able to walk away and save it for later? As Admiral said, Glitch's not ready to take on any menaces right now, and it's been a long day for all of you.

Still, this is your call, or the group's decision (however you plan to play this, Hammer).

Well he he ...

..... I do realize it is a once a week post with updates on Monday, but I was directing a question about Detect Undead.

Do UnDead react to a Detect Undead Spell ... or is it up to the individual GM who runs the game?

As for my proposed Audalis setting game I have not heard from Shining Orb but did have one in the recruitment show some interest in the proposed game.

I just needed a clarification about the Spell because I am developing a post and was not quite sure what I was going to do about casting a Detect UnDead Spell.

Thank You

Moving Along

Well Shining Orb did send me a PM so I answered some of his questions and invited him to play in the Audalis setting adventure that I am developing.

Anyway, after thinking about what to do I have decided how to write up my post (with consideration for Admiral and what he posted in the Q/A) so I am just now plotting and typing and will post to the game thread later tonight.

Looks like I may be busy for the rest of the week and especially next week (and may not be able to post in this game thread again until Sunday the 13th, so I better go ahead and post tonight with what I have developed for my character!)
