Just my opinion

But if I had to respond to a fear effect, I would fully embrace the fact that my character had a moment where he was truly scared, and would run. I would RP his feelings on the threat at hand, and how he felt fear overcoming him and how it shook him to his core that he thought he was going to die. Then I would post about how slowly I over came that and rationalized that it was only an animal, that could die, and that if I pushed my self I could make it feel the same fear and I would be the cause.

Then, I would run back, hopefully try to gather the group and then start Rping with everyone on our next course of action.

Waiting on...

I will post tomorrow evening (Wed).

YeOlde has posted that he will be away, and Loki seems to be off on a break too.

Jozan and Takley have posted.

Does that mean it's just Addy and I that need to post?

Aly will likely try to convince Geron to head back to the village to receive some healing. If he refuses, she'll try to patch him up as best she can.

As a player, I think it might also be usefully to see what items we can salvage from the dead lying here. Aly's not really the type to do that mind you...

ALMERIN:

Two questions -
1) Can you give a short post, either here or on the game board listing the items that have discarded around this area (weapons, backpacks, clothing, armor, pouches, etc) that we can see without really searching?

2) For the fear effect, are those who were affected able to discern whether the fear was natural or magical in nature?

Thanks,
Ayrn

YeOlde has some health issues, I believe, and Loki is no longer a part of this game, since he resigned.

I've asked Dragonblood, since he's next on the waiting list. He will let me know if he's still interested.

As for your questions:

1: The only items you see lying in the nest without searching are the torn clothes of the latest victim, and a small pouch with 12 silver coins in it.

2: The fear effect was due to the fact that this monster pulled the freaking skin back from it's head. That's more than enough to make a normal villager faint. You guys did good in that you only fled.
(As a DM I add to that: it wasn't magical, but what would be the difference?)

My post is up

Players and Almerin,
You may want to read my OOC comments. Players especially, it may be helpful for Almerin if you drop a short post here or in character stating which course of action your character is supporting. (Ta'nil's "Let's finish this thing" or Aly's "Let's head home")
Thanks!
Ayrn

ugh

I'll probably be posting tomorrow. I've been hospitalized twice now in two weeks for two separate work-related injuries. Both very minor, but the paperwork and follow up bureaucracy is a nightmare.

alright

We've hit a tiny speed bump, people. Loki quit, YeOlde can't post because of personal reasons and Admiral seems to also be in a tight spot at the moment. Real life happens, but how do we deal with it?

I'm going to PM Dragonblood again, and I'll approach Jing to inquire if she's still interested.

As far as the game goes right now, I'll be updating on Monday if possible. So far, nobody has reacted to Ayrn's suggestions. If no reactions come, I'll update the game as I see fit. So if you want to have any control in the outcome of my update, now's the time to speak/post.

YeOlde

For those of you who haven't seen it already: Death of an Innmate and a friend.

He'll be greatly missed.

update

Update is in. Hope you guys will enjoy it.

Also: Ad did a spellcraft check: Glitch realizes the effect the creature had on the group was much like a wizard's Scare spell, but was itself not magical. It was superscary though.

I'm still wondering what to do with Ryan. I think he'll just leave the group and head for undetermined lands when you all get back to Stone's Hollow.

Currently busy

I'll likely not be able to post until next Monday night, Oct 3.

How many players are still around? Should we start up a recruitment thread now, so that when we get into town, we can add a couple new PCs right away and drop off a few?

New player!

Hey guys,

We can welcome Lady Dark, who will be playing Arra, a Kazari fighter, who will join the team soon enough.

In the mean time... where is everyone?
